Never a dull moment in this place! Our server was absolutely perfect, and the hibachi chef was pretty good. The kids loved the experience! The food was amazing. I highly recommend the Spicy Tuna Tataki.

Disappointing takeout experience. We ordered two appetizers and a hibachi meal and got home to find one app missing. Bag was stapled closed which deterred us from checking the contents when we picked it up, but that was our mistake. We had a toddler to feed so we didn’t have time to return to the restaurant to remedy the situation. The salad also contained 1/3 lettuce that was rusty.

Get less steak even when you pay extra. 5-6 pieces for an order is not acceptable. We quit eating there for that reason.

Absolutely terrible quality, every single time. I just paid $45 to have 2 fried rice bowls delivered. One of my bowls only had 1 piece of steak and 2 pieces of unseasoned chicken. The store wanted to argue and refused to make it right, as nice as i was. At first they agreed to remake it for me if i drove to the store, but for some reason decided not to follow through with their promise. This store is ripping people off and not giving them what they pay for, not to mention the meat doesnt even have salt on it. 0/10, worst experience ever. Will not be back. The guy i talked to on the phone was named justin, he has an attitude. The managers name is ricky, and he doesnt care about customers or the quality of the food being served.

Great food! Great customer service! Very friendly! Great prices! Yum yum sauce with the hibachi chicken was amazing. Always have to make a stop when I come to BG!
Spent $35 tonight and to be honest I think it was fair. The food was good for the price but could’ve been better. The carrots for the hibachi were mushy as if they came out of a can and the steak was a little chewy despite asking for it to be made two different ways. The sushi was average, not great but not bad. A good price for how much you get though. vegetable lomein however in was delicious.

I haven’t been here in 15 years. Got 5 orders to go while on the road. Best hibachi and sauce I’ve ever had. The service from everyone was amazing. They even helped me carry my to go bags to the car. Wish I could stop by more often.

They have really updated their menu and added some wonderful sushi selections. By far one of the best sushi places in BG.

The hibachi chef was amazing, entertaining and funny! Came here for my son's birthday and they sang happy birthday and played drums, (twice) The food was top notch. We got wayyy more than we anticipated and it was worth every penny. 10/10 highly recommend this place.

Our family loves Kyoto Garden! It’s our favorite Japanese Restaurant in BG. The California Roll is very reasonably priced and my favorite meal is “Chicken Habachi” or “Steak and Shrimp”. The owner is so nice and his son is as well. I eat there at least once a month and some months it’s once a week.

Enjoyed a delicious meal just before close the other night. Had some hibachi steak and a roll of fried sushi. Everything was delicious. Server was friendly and kept on top of our needs. Kitchen was quick and food was fresh. Restaurant is dated and could use a remodel, but it was clean so not the worst issue.

Could not chew the beef in a stir fry. Manager just commented that"that's the beef they sent". Could not have cared less. Server was sweet and apologetic. Will NEVER eat here again!

I ordered to go and the waitress was very pleasant. I was really impressed how she took care of my to go order. You can tell that she loves her job.

The food was excellent as well. I am looking forward to coming back and trying the sushi.

I have eaten at several Japanese restaurants and this is undoubtedly the worse food I have ever had. I haven’t had any other places I didn’t like even with some better than others but this one was trash. It’s edible food so I didn’t complain but it’s out of a can trash. The service was great so I didn’t tell him the food sucks because it is t his fault. Shogun is directly across the street so just go there it’s a no brainer. I honestly would have been happier with any of the fast food in the area and I was trying to avoid all of that garbage 🤦‍♂️.

The food here is extremely bland. While Sushi are fine rest are worst. Don't go for the Ramen as the broth is bland. So was the meats. Bento Box is okay but only Teriyaki Steak was good. Pork Katsu was bad. Creme Brulee was too sweet and taste average. Roasted I've Cream was good. Normal ice cream was bad. I don't recommend this place. Only saving grace is the service. But service can't save the food. Avoid it.

I usually only do positive reviews but this was so awful I had to speak up. This is my first time in Bowling Green and the first time to Kyoto Gardens. I got 2 different deep fried sushi rolls and they looked very unappetizing. I bit into each one and I cannot tell you the horrible taste I endured. My mom and dad had really disgusting food as well. The only thing that tasted decent was the egg roll. We had to go to find the owner after they said he was going to come to the table but he never did. He only comped one of the sushi rolls and made a ton of excuses as to why he wasn’t comping both. I never send my food back but I was so disappointed with this experience. I didn’t order anything else and I left and ate somewhere else. I do not recommend this restaurant at all.

As usual, we love Shogun! My daughter tried the Bao Buns and loved them! She said the pork had great flavor and she could eat the bun bu itself!

What a awesome place. I had never been here till this past Friday July 7th,2023. Food was absolutely amazing and delicious. Service was also great. If you have never been here I highly recommend checking them out.
What is happening to one of our go-to takeout places? It seems like every time we have gone this year, it’s closed. On Wednesday, I stopped by and waited in line with two other cars and it turns out it was actually closed. It seems like it’s randomly closed throughout the week (Mon-fri) and it’s always a gamble to know if they’re open. I have had several people tell me the same.

I want to give you guys a good rating and continue to support you, but how do I do that when the hours are not consistent? It almost feels like the place is preparing to close or something.

Stopped by here while driving through Kentucky and we were glad we stumbled across this place. The overall experience was great. Plenty of open seating, and took no time to be served. The meals were very affordable and very filling, and we even got a complimentary soup. The food was tasty and we both left with clean plates. You can’t beat a well rounded meal for around $8, especially nowadays. Staff was very friendly too. Definitely recommend if you already are in the area or passing through.

Went through the drive-through and told the person I had a gluten allergy. I ordered the vegetable roll, and the sweet potato was fried in bread batter.

I do not think the person at the window knew what ingredients were in their food .

I eat it without knowing and got sick, I only recommend a California roll if you have a gluten allergy.
The food was decent. The rice was disappointing. I do understand that most people use tons of yum yum sauce. I don't touch the stuff...take that for what it is. It kinda feels like a step up from the places you see every where now (Kyoto, Tsunami, Ichiban) and a slight step down from Shogun. Good portions but it is a little pricey. Bottom line: nothing really new, but favorites done pretty well...you get what you pay for, but I probably won't be back.

The best sushi in Bowling Green!!! This is a hidden gem for sure. Our group ordered 8 different rolls and I could only snap a picture of two before the group dug in. It doesn’t look like much but it will blow you away. We’re coming back!!

Hibachi place that has been around for years in BG, not affiliated with the other Kyoto. Cheap fast Asian food and drinks with ample portions. They made improvements to the restaurant so it looks good and is clean. Staff covers the basics when it comes to service. The sushi area has only been around for a couple years and the first time I tried I was not impressed however I recently tried the poke bowls and now are hooked! More expensive than most meals on the menu but as a lover of poke I'm glad I tried.

We had to wait 10 minutes for the waitress to come over to ask our drinks. We were the only ones in the restaurant. We waited 45 minutes for our food. 3 tables that came in 20 minutes after us got their food first. I got teriyaki chicken but it was just drenched in soy sauce. The potatoes weren’t cooked at all. I couldn’t even use my fork to cut it. My fiancé got vegetable lo mein and it had some disgusting sauce on it. With 3 things of vegetables. 2 slivers of carrot and one piece of broccoli. This place is a joke. Not worth the money at all.
I had been here when it first opened several years ago and do not recall being super impressed. But I decided to try for lunch which is only drive through currently. Wait was a bit long (sure as food is made to order) but it was worth it. Food was great.. hot, well seasoned, and rice and veggies were cooked perfectly. Yum yum sauce is best I've had.. I would recommend checking it out.
Nice place to grab some Japanese takeout. The staff were friendly and food was ready fairly quickly. Sushi and spring rolls were delicious!
Honestly this is kinda like Japanese fast food. Which, following the stereotype of fast food, it fell short of standards. Although the restaurant was very clean, the food fell short of expectations- rice was overcooked, shrimp was burnt, and scallops texture was slightly awful. The food tasted like it had been cooked on a grill in need of a cleaning. The staff was polite enough, but at the price they ask there are much better alternatives.
