Some of the top management staff of this company are very corrupt and dishonest in their business dealings. They engage in unethical practices of stiffing vendors if they do not accede to demands and will refuse to pay legitimate invoices.
This facility's books needs to be investigated by the office of the attorney general and the Inspector General for sharp practices.
Their accounting personnel Ms Agnes Kamara, demanded that my company pay five percent of our earnings to a particular company in exchange for our payments being directly deposited into our account. I refused, stating that the fee was illegal.
As a result, Chevy Chase House has refused to pay our invoices, which are for services provided between January 2023 and May 2024.
They are one of the worst companies to deal with. i have told them that I will air their dirty laundry on every platform until they do the write thing thing and pay my company what they owe.
I truly enjoy working with the Residents of Livingston Place, it brings such pleasure assisting them in anyway possible!
My wife works at Livingston Place and she loves working with the residents and staff.
My mother lives at LP@SA. She LOVES it!!
Great place for the needy. They want to put everyone in a box. You can’t put everyone in a box.
Livingston Place I thank you for all you do for me and more!
Contact them because I needed help and info regarding a senior person new application trying to get accepted. But no body never reply back.

My sister spent the last four years at Chevy Chase House. The care, love and compassion she received was extraordinary! The entire staff (Executive, Professional, Administrative and Support) are remarkably caring and supportive human beings.
I cannot speak more highly of the facility and the care that was afforded my sister, and the support given to our family!
The Staff at Allen House are outstanding. I never had a issue with a staff employee or resident.I was always treated with dignity and respect. I wish everyone at The Allen House The Very Best Life Can Offer. I miss you all🤗♥️

My Aunt had a respite stay in January 2023 then came back to CCH in June 2023 for a possible extended stay. We chose CCH because of their mindful attention to detail. They really love the residents and that care comes through in every interaction... from the nurses, caregivers, marketing executives, to the management. Our family will always be grateful to CCH for the care they gave our Aunt during her stay.
NOTHING WHAT THEY ADVERTISE!!! THEY SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF THEMSELVES.
It has been brought to my attention via a resident of this building and that person's lawyer that the management of the Allen house has been braking multiple laws and rules over the past couple of years regarding resident rights and entitlements. In addition to this I have witnessed in person how disrespectful the Allen house employees are to the residents. Buyer be aware.
After a year of difficult conversations and struggles with mother and dementia, my family and I made the difficult decision to move her into an assisted living facility. We researched and toured multiple places and landed at Maple Senior Living in Wash., DC approximately 8 months ago. As is common with most senior living centers since COVID hit, leadership struggled with problems of begin understaffed and simply not finding the right mix of workers. Unfortunately, you could see the impact of problems behind the scenes, despite the hard work of committed staff. HOWEVER, a new director, Sue, was hired about 7 months ago. Sue came to Maple READY TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE, and she did so QUICKLY. She brought a renewed energy to the facility, she has inspired and motivated existed staff, she brought on new staff, she saw to it that building projects - like the beautiful balcony - were COMPLETED in time for residents and guests to use it, and she has personally gone it to support her staff and engage consistently with families. If something is not 110%, she acknowledges the family and works with her staff to make things right AND turns everything into a positive learning experience. The residents now have regular activities throughout the week AND WEEKEND so they're not just sitting, watching tv (and they are amazing activities - my sister and I pop in sometimes and join in. I'll try to post a photo or two later... they even include church EVERY Sunday. My mother used to call us repeatedly, sad and bored throughout the day and weekends. Now, she tells us she's too busy to stay on the phone, she has somewhere to be, something to do. ALSO, Sue holds Zoom meetings with families and sends regular emails with updates and invitations for everyone to participate. We've NEVER had this level of engagement. Sue has made it so that Maple is living up to its mission. I've even noticed that my mother and the other residents are responding positively as well. My mother says she feels at home and gives kudos to all the staff whose names SHE ACTUALLY REMEMBERS. One resident who used to cry all the time (I guess from dementia) SMILES and tries to talk whenever we see her, and my family and friends visit A LOT. In fact, my friends have remarked how much better things are and how engaged the residents are. SO, very long story short, Maple has become the reliable and most at-home facility out there, and I have toured SO MANY PLACES. Congratulations to Maple, to its EXTREMELY hard work staff and to Sue whose years of expertise and genuine PERSONAL COMMITMENT shine through each day, even when you're not in the building. Oh, the food and food service team has been exceptional from day one.
Mr. Sargent was most welcoming. He did a wonderful job of explaning the advantages of living at the Chevy Chase House while giving me an excellent tour of the facility. He even took the time to introduce me to several of the residents who appeared to be happy and welcoming. I was also pleased that Mr. Sargent took the time to explain the fees for the various levels of care and provided me with written material regarding these and other matters. I left feeling verty positive about the Chevy Chase House as a posible residence for my sister.
Great Community and Great staff.
Please avoid Maple Heights. I am a 31 YO woman, 3rd generation Washingtonian, who became the legal guardian for my grandmother and facilitated her move from VA to DC to be closer to me (pre-COVID). The turn-over, lack of communication, high out of pocket cost and mistreatment of residents are all reasons why I would not recommend. The facility is clean, they have no outside space for residents to enjoy fresh air outside of a small balcony/patio upstairs that they never encouraged residents to utilize. They did no cognitive/special activities to stimulate residents. I chose this facility instead of having my grandmother in a nursing home - yet my grandmother's care still was subpar and due to lack of care/interaction during COVID she unfortunately passed. NO1 from this facility called me to offer condolences, to come retrieve her belongings. I have heard nothing from Maple Heights in a year since she passed. Please avoid this facility if you care and love your parent/grandparent.
Performed contact work for this facility and management is giving run around regarding payment.
Work performed over three months ago.
Tsk Tsk….
So sick of the robotic answers property management gives when someone write a negative review about this property. Reaching out to those who live there should be a given and not be prompted only by negative reviews. Where seniors live, there should be security and access to loved ones without having to summon the National Guard. Isn't the facility that house homeless Vets in close proximity to the facility where Seniors live. Security is imperative!!!

Such a great place. We toured all the competitive properties. Chevy Chase House has large 1-bedroom units with kitchens while most of the competition was largely tiny studios like a nursing home. The staff is incredible and the food is top notch. So thankful for all the hard work they did to keep us safe during this pandemic.
Sorry i moved here. No security. Charging $75 for parking a month. No place for guests to park. Water and lights get cut off too frequently. Dont move here.
Great place for seniors, but when they get in there...there is NO security. Even before Covid. Its beyond me, why a security guard or staff member is NEVER in the office when you need them. Our Parents are there and they still DO NOT provide any kind of security in or outside of the building.
Very Noce property to live...Professional office staff...
No Security at night or front desk personnel.
Hello I am giving Three stars for The Chevy Chase house,.

Mainly because of the Respectable interactions.

I experienced while working there, with the Awesome Residents (@Chevy Chase house)

I am saddened to report, for the 1month that I worked there, the negatives started to accumulate.

One being terribly understaffed, second organization ( who does what, when &/ or how)

The third, is what helped, My decision to resign.

Not being payed, at the appropriate time, lack of communication or, someone just not turning in My timesheet for whatever reason “ Just because “

This did not just happen once but twice, & mind you I was, an on call employee so the timesheet was, not a lengthy one.

However I was looked over, & financially during these times, of Covid-19.
Everyone is enduring struggle in one way or another.

I have at this point been contacted by someone that someone is working on My pay, that I was to receive on Friday.

I am in hope that the Services & Communication improves with Staff & Employees at the Chevy Chase house

Thank you

My mother has been at CCH since 2018. There's a lot to like about the residence. Why we picked it-- 1. the location; 2. the rooms; 3. related services; 4. diversity of staff and residents. Located on Connecticut Avenue, it's fairly easy to get around DC. Even better, some great amenities are just nearby-- a public library, a grocery, a CVS, and (for grandkids) a major DC toy store. My mother's room is among the largest I have seen in DC senior residences. The Physical therapy in house is very good. Finally, if you or the possible resident care about diversity-- then CCH offers that in abundance. The background of residents is quite compelling. I am fond of many of the staff-- particularly in the dining room. The nursing has had some turn over, but I think the head nurse, Kim, is going to stick with CCH and she's very good. The food was perhaps better in the first year of being on the Meridian corporate plan, but, I think they will need to revamp this continually. More chicken thighs! The rest of the chicken cooks too dry! The parking situation could be managed better. (I don't even have a car, but the fact that I am bringing this up points to a major detraction that others mention.) FOR EXAMPLE-- CCH could help the residents apply for DC visitor parking passes for visiting health aides, etc. They have brought in more events staff in the past year. I think there could be more variety of offerings. In particular, more experts to talk with residents. But, it's pretty good there. My mother's quality of life is better there than alone in my sister's house. So, we're pretty happy.

DO NOT leave your loved one in the care of the management at Chevy Chase House. They exploit and abuse the elderly for the corporate financial gain of Meridian.

BEWARE! DO NOT TRUST YOUR ELDERLY LOVED ONES TO THESE EVIL PEOPLE
The staff is rude and the manger don’t care she think it’s ok for her staff talk to people any kind of way to be rude to visitor don’t move your family on this property it’s sad it’s ran by Upper Room church i came to visit this building last week and the lady Barbara was so rude i been leaving messages for a call back and no had call me back yet it’s sad but i told her she was rude
The building is great but the management needs work.
