I agree with first impressions Sunrise was welcoming and Gabby was very helpful. But I also was made promises that I would receive updates which started in the very beginning than stopped and was told they could not keep giving daily updates.. I never met the doctor of the facility and never spoke to in regards of medicating my love one. They are under staffed and cannot understand the staff in speaking with them. My love ones belonging were misplaced and other items in the room were not theirs. Dental care was horrible and bathing hygiene also. I never received hard copy of agreement or was it reviewed in its entireity about ever leaving the facility. Barbara and Michelle just handed me my love ones medications upon leaving and never reviewed with me how the bingo card worked and I asked to explain and was just told its all there. They literally called me the morning of taking my parent out saying their ready to leave at 9:00am all packed to go which I never gave a time in the day I was arriving it was like they had him on the door step waiting for me. I did ask at the time of admitting what if I should ever want to take my parent out and was just told we only ask for a 30 day notice never explained till after a stay of almost 2 months there would be a I guess what you can call a penalty for leaving prior to 30 days. Beautiful place not worth over $8000.00 a month.
First impression of Sunrise of Marlboro was welcoming and the greeters and staff continue to make us, as the family, feel welcomed at any time.

Gabrielle Dolgin (Gabby) was extremely knowledgeable and thoroughly explained the admittance procedure & level of care. We felt confident that when the time came we would choose Sunrise of Marlboro.
We turned to Gabby a month later to guide us with the move from rehab to Sunrise of Marlboro. She made an overwhelming and emotional situation less stressful. Gabby was to put it simply, amazing.

Sunrise of Marlboro staff, Barbara, Michele, and memory care floor staff are always available by cell or to stop in their office. They know the residents and it shows. Updates are given on my mother's adjustment, her daily involvement in the community. The memory care floor staff is friendly, kind & patient taking time to talk with the residents and help them with their adjustment.

I am so satisfied that I chose Sunrise of Marlboro for my Mom to spend her last years at. The staff went out of their way to make her feel comfortable when she first came there (in the midst of Covid) and this continued throughout her 3 years there. When I went to visit her, I would usually find her in the dining area sitting with her new girlfriends playing Bingo or being entertained – but always smiling! The facility reminded me of a hotel where I used to say to myself – this is where I would want my kids to bring me to.
Sunrise has a family aura to it, always going out of their way to make sure our family, in addition to my Mom, was welcome and informed on the latest events. The head administrator really cared for the people there, and this trickled down to his staff. Not once do I regret the decision I made for her to live at Sunrise in Marlboro.
I highly recommend Sunrise of Marlboro to anyone that has a family member that they love dearly and want to make sure they will get the best care available. There is not one day where I regret my decision for her to reside there. Just to see her smiling and involved around other residents/staff made my day!

We are truly happy with the community and care at Sunrise of Marlboro. The staff are attentive and kind and know the residents individually. Our questions are answered quickly and professionally and communication is timely and frequent.
It helps me sleep at night knowing mom is safe and comfortable.
Assisted Living, especially memory (dementia) care is about the staff caring and giving the highest quality of attention to their residents.

The staff at Sunrise of Marlboro has provided for my wife (over the past 6+ months) the best in compassionate daily care I could have hoped for.

Gabby from the start is there to help you manage to bring your family member into Sunrise - she is the go-to person when you need to find people to help you. Even after the move in she is always there for me.

Maria and Silvia manage the front desk and are always there to help you. They wear many hats and do so much more than you see.

Sunrise has helped me by having a dementia support group (Dara is wonderful). Having friendly and helpful administrative and managerial staff and nurses and care providers that have become part of my larger support group. I could not have asked for much more.

I tell so many of the care staff that they polish their halos as if they are angels on earth.

Many thanks to Barbara, Donna, Lynette, Hun (sp), Nicole, Noel, Laura, and all the others I missed.

Barbara - manages the Reminiscent Memory care floor and works constantly to make sure all residents are properly cared for and safe. Has the patients of a Saint for giving me the time to talk about what I am going through as my wife’s condition progresses.

Donna – With a degree in Music therapy, has the singing voice of an angel and the patients of a Saint. I love listening to her voice.

Nursing care is the best. Tammy, Patty, “J”, Chris, and others are always on top of how your family member is doing.

Lynette, Nicole, Noel, Hun and so many more are hands-on managing and caring for all residents.

It has not been easy for me but during my day I know my wife is in the best hands. Gives me peace of mind.

Sunrise of Marlboro was a wonderful place for our mother. Sunrise helped us with every aspect and stage of our mother’s care. What first appealed to us on our initial visit was the quality of the staff. This initial impression held true once our mother joined the Sunrise community. The nursing staff, care takers, maintenance and management all did their jobs to ensure that our mother was well cared for. By the end of her life, our mother needed a very high level of care. This was provided by Sunrise. When we first looked at assisted living facilities, we found that not all would provide this level of care. We knew our mother’s illness would progress over time, and we wanted our mother to stay at one place. The high level of care provided by Sunrise allowed her to do this. Finally, we would like to add that there was a great deal of joy and laughter at Sunrise provided by a very caring staff.

A big "thank you" to all the staff at Sunrise Assisted Living in Marlboro, NJ. Although my beloved mother's stay there was short, my family and I will be forever grateful for the outstanding care you provided. Gabby was so supportive. She was always there to lend an ear and answer our many questions about Alzheimer's. Thank you for making these difficult months easier for all of us!

The staff at Sunrise in Marlboro became our second family! The care of my beloved mom was second to none! We were all treated as family. Each person had a unique relationship with my mom and her pet cat!
To me, there is nothing, absolutely nothing that they could have done better!
There was terrific communication between the staff and our family!
Wonderful experience and I highly recommend Sunrise in Marlboro to anyone exploring assisted living facilities!
