Experience has been ignored by my Dr, gaslit and lied about on my medical records and lied to me about a referral for scan.............. Knew he didn't like me when I first met him...... Didn't take it personally it happens.
When I challenge about being not listened to he became angry and went on the attack.
The lies about me and tdo me was daftedr said challenge.
After challenging Dr my blood tests confirmed acute pancreatitis confirming my symptoms was being caused by something called a pancreas.
Despite this the Dr lies and through lies denied me healthcare.
Ddi have now worsening symptoms and loss of weight 3 stoned and trying to put weight on. Yet still I lose weight.
,all because a narcissistic Dr was challenged. Dd
Let's hope he likes being challenged legally because this Dr who is a partner at this surgery

I had a private telephone appointment with a cardiologist as my symptoms are getting worse and my gp doctor ignors them. I received a long list of tests they should be done ages ago as it looks urgent. So, I contacted Horfield Health Centre saying again my symptoms and I received only telephone appointment 2 weeks later. It is not the first time I had to search for a private health as I was ignored. Previosly a private doctors found a tumor when I Heard from my GP that I look to good to be ill.

Would be a very good surgery apart from some of the rude receptionists. It made me feel really supported to know my treatment was not personal after reading googles review of the health centres receptionist and her description by other reviewers (one in particular a plump blonde middle aged lady with bobbed hair). There are a couple of rude outdated women at this surgery who have upset a lot of people it appears by reading reviews .It also appears formal complaints are not taken seriously. I have read some reviews about rude GPs and have an appointment next week. Any thing I recognise as inappropriate I will be taking further than the practice manager. It also appears some quality improvements are needed in this department. The receptionist look burnt out they disguise this with being Patronising and Rude . I am not the village idiot I can recognise un professionalism. Horfield your centre is being let down by these individuals. Due to the description of one women receptionist in the complaint on google I believe we are talking about the same person. Going to this practise is stressful. It needs to change. Nil points. I see now why GP receptionist s are ridiculed on social media. Its not fair on the other conscientious receptionists GPs and treatment room staff who make people who feel unwell welcomed.

Honestly I’ve never had a bad experience with the student health service, even during Covid times.
The call times always go down quite quickly even though you have to queue, and they always ask why you need an appointment and arrange one for the soonest date available or if it’s urgent, a same day appointment and this is always done for me.
Usually they can do phone call appointments which is ideal because then you don’t have to go in, and sometimes it over runs but that’s not their fault!
Every time I have gone in as well, the wait hasn’t been too long over, and the doctors and nurses I’ve seen have been nice. Just as they have, it’s the same with the call appointments - all the doctors and nurses are really lovely (ones I’ve had).
They are way better than my GP back home so I’d recommend! Every time I have an issue they always sort it out:)

The ladies that work at the front desk are absolutely rude and their attitude towards patients is disgusting! They are so uptight! How frustrated we feel as the public trying to get an appointment waiting over an hour on the phone just to be told ring back tomorrow or next week! Doctors, midwives and nurses are great apart from the reception staff who are appauling!

Everything went really well, the Dr was very helpful. Cannot complain about the booking process either. The last time was the same. I think the bad rating might be due to the potentially disproportionate amount of rage reviews.

I have always had a pleasant experience with this GP practice. All the procedures and consultations I've had with nurses and doctors have been all throughout thoughtful and supportive. Every concern I had has been addressed and taken seriously.
My GP Dr. Graham is genuinely one of the nicest doctors I have ever had. She takes great care to explain everything and communicates to me as her equal in a respectful and warm manner.

Dr Warren was very good. Very quick clear diagnosis. Thank you. Was a bit nervous seeing another GP as I normally see Dr Edge who is absolutely fanastic but very pleased with Dr Warren Receptionist excellent very professional

Called asking for a specific medication that I had been prescribed on a prior occasion for a specific condition that I usually get a flare up of when cold weather sets in each year. Receptionist said I couldn't speak to a doctor and advised me to ask a pharmacist for advice, then cut me off and hung up on me. Made me feel unimportant and as if I were being treated like some kind of drug seeker, as if she should be making these calls. I'm a medical student myself.

Call back in two weeks after an appointment to follow up I was told. Been two weeks call up and I’m told you can’t speak to anyone for another week. So this important follow up is now prolonged for another week. receptionist just assume and don’t actually listen. And the pharmacy what a mess that is

Called in to get an appointment and was booked in within ten minutes for an appointment in two days time. Doctor was really professional and had the issue sorted quickly.

The student health service is horrific, the receptionist think they are the doctors and seem to think they can dictate whether you need an appointment or not. You will get bounced around from team to team saying that you need to email only to be told to call like you did in the first place, but then you will have to wait in a queue for an hour only to be told you can't have an appointment, or someone will call you later and they never do. Save your time and register for a different GP because nothing will get done for you under this service. Ridiculous.

Dentists here were great but unfortunately this health centre has recently permanently closed so I need to register elsewhere.

Absolutely terrible. I’d give less than zero star if I could. Doctors can’t even diagnose strep, they accuse you of lying, don’t know which antibiotics to prescribe, waste your time, and good luck if you need to see a specialist. Only way is to go to court for medical negligence.

Had a very bad experience with the gynaecologist and was left traumatised. Doctors are not gentle at all, started ble*ding at home. Will never go back

The whole service felt very clinical and lacked empathy and compassion. It wasn't very personal and it felt like I was part of a conveyor belt system. It would have been nice to know the doctor's name and to have a bit more of a introduction from her. This could have been an opportunity to come across as caring and that she wanted to know why I was there. I don't think staff should be wearing masks as they are proven to not do anything and it takes away from that personal, 1 to 1 interaction. It just felt very rushed and lacked intimacy. I paid for a 30 minute appointment but I looked at the clock and I still had 9 minutes left. Why wasn't that time spent getting more information out of me or trying to show care and consideration towards my symptoms and worries. I didn't feel very reassured after that appointment. I don't think I will be recommending a private GP appointment to anyone I know.

Not a suitable location for a health centre. The only access for those with impaired mobility is to park on the dual carriageway, thus blocking it.

Terrible experience with this GP practise- particularly with whoever takes calls on reception. I was appalled by the hostility (and frankly unkindness) of the woman I spoke to. The GPs have only ever been lovely, but the receptionist I encountered today was truly nasty. Don't use this practise.

I registered online and was officially registered with the practice the same day. The reception staff were extremely polite, kind and helpful and the doctor I spoke to on the phone was the same. I received an appointment the same day and the nurse who saw me was very helpful and kind. Overall a great experience for a uni student who has just moved to the city.

The doctor apparently forgot to send my antidepressant prescription off for 5 days. Then I was given a medically urgent prescription since I was experiencing withdrawal symptoms and this took over 24 hours to be sent to the pharmacy, and then the pharmacy still didn't receive it from the doctor and I could only pick it up due to the receptionist helping me and sending me a code. I would recommend that students should find a local GP instead.

Moved home from uni last summer and required my medication to be sent to a pharmacy near my home. I changed my nominated pharmacy in advance and then requested my medication. The request was put through as approved but the script was never sent to my pharmacy or the pharmacy I was registered with in Bristol. This service then shut down for summer and would not reopen until September forcing me to either go into withdrawal or get a private prescription. This is not fair to students. People's health is at stake. Students, find a local GP instead.

Good doctors but unfortunately can't say the same for the receptionists. One in particular is especially passive aggressive and had a go, for me having recently had appointments for 2 separate issues, which resulted in me confusing the names of the two doctors... not to mention one of the issues was a concussion so confusion would be understandable anyway... There's no need for her to treat people the way she does, unfortunately I've seen other people have it far worse from her than me

I’ve had SO many problems with different doctors prescribing me the exact same dosage of my prescription but they’ve always messed it up. I’ve had one doctor randomly changed my one prescription and split my doses into two prescriptions so i had to pay for 2 charges instead of 1. She also didnt put forward my request of having several months so I had to make yet another call to book an appointment with another doctor. As a student, money is hard to come by and having to pay for two prescriptions was terrible… Another time, she told me off for getting off my medication as I ran out but I was never scheduled for another check up which is needed for my prescription. Another doctor rang me up for a check up and never put through my prescription to boots and then that was another three phone calls to fix the mistake. Honestly an incompetent service from the gps. The telephone operators are nice though but still not sure how they haven’t hired better staff after all these complaints that have been going on for years…

Had an utterly fantastic experience here today. GP was extremely thorough, kind and professional. He took his time time to listen and I didn't feel rushed.

I've lived quite the unhealthy life over the past 1-2 years, and had a slight physical niggle I was worried about. Decided given my age I should have someone check me over. Accidentally stumbled across the BUPA Be.Ahead assessment online, and managed to quickly book myself into it at Bristol. Didn't even know BUPA were there, despite living in the city 10 years.
The various assessments, blood tests, ECGs, etc. were conducted in an extremely professional and personable manner by JH. Nothing was too much trouble: JH is clearly someone who understands health and fitness and can explain things extremely well.
I then had a very long session with Dr DB, a combination of a review of the tests as well as a thorough physical examination, not only related to the specific problem which kicked off my medical paranoia.
I'm not (yet) so decrepit that I felt I needed Dr DB to refer me for any further investigation (the offers were there and discussed thoroughly), but felt fully confident that if I change my mind in the coming weeks or months, he will do that for me.
If you are able to afford to be assessed privately, if you have any health concerns, and don't particularly want to burden the NHS at this 'difficult' time, don't hesitate to book yourself in. I would recommend this assessment, at this particular venue (Bristol), to friends and family, without hesitation.

hi had an assessment yesterday I cant get my results online for some reason . also had a urine dipstick which they said was clear got home to find out otherwise when I did it myself? but the staff I thought were very helpful .

An absolutely wonderful service. See a Gp face to face within minutes rather than waiting 3 to 5 weeks for an appointment. Make an online booking or just turn up at our pharmacy and you can be seen within minutes by friendly professional Gps online face to face who are able to perform many clinical checks on you with the hardware station at the pharmacy...come and experience a great new private service. Appointments are not restricted to 10 minutes as at your Gp practice. Private confidential very fast and very efficient way of dealing with health issues that cannot wait

Bupa are used for my company’s occupational health services. I had a assessment with Dr Stephen Szweda and all I can say it that the entire session exceeded my expectations. Dr Szweda is clearly a very experienced doctor, who was very professional, empathetic and truly demonstrated a care for my needs and that of the organisation. I can wholeheartedly recommend Bupa Occupational Health services on the back of this session with Dr Szweda. Thank you for a pleasent experience Dr Szweda.
