HORRIBLE...I WOULD NEVER RETURN. AS I LEAVE THIS REVIEW, I'M CURRENTLY STILL IN THE ER AND HAVE BEEN HERE SINCE 2PM AND ITS NOW 12AM...THIS IS RIDICULOUS...TO AFRAID TO LEAVE BECAUSE OF THE CHEST PAINS AND INSURANCE REASONS, IF I WASNT I WOULD GO TO ANOTHER EMERGENCY ROOM....WILL NEVER RETURN....PLEASE BE AWARE.....DO NOT GO TO THIS ER.....ITS NOW 1AM...BEEN HERE FOR ALMOST 12HRS AN I LEFT WITHOUT BEING SEEN...PLEASE AVOID THIS HOSPITAL
Just echoing the experience of others. Wasted about 8 hours of waiting now. You'll have bettter luck finding something in a pharmacy than getting acceptable treatment here. Also, security thinks sanitization is simply spraying hand sanitizer on the walkway. Not to mention them being loud and unprofessional. What a display of incompetence.
Avoid this ER! I hesitated sharing my sensitive health information, but I feel the public should know. I was pregnant and bleeding profusely. I stopped bleeding while waiting and left after waiting over 5 hours with no update on how much longer the wait would last (I have a toddler and needed to go home). I have PTSD from this experience, as I also could not get ahold of my UPenn OBGYN during this time. I was billed over $5k (my deductible cost me ~$350). I contacted billing, and they won't correct my bill to reflect the lack of services I received. I would characterize my experience as a nightmare and the worst medical experience I've had in my life. The service and billing could/should be considered illegal, but patients do not have the power to sue such a wealthy hospital.
After approximately 6 hours waiting on a Sunday I realized how busy this hospital is. The security need some work. I heard the guards using inappropriate language and very loud and unprofessional. I was treated accordingly for my medical issue. What was needed and explaination of procedures were professional. Overall other than the wait the experience was ok.
I've had 10 surgeries. at this hospital and I've also used their emergency room services. The doctors and the service is top notch.
Horrible place for treatment. They are very rude and unprofessional. You can get better care at home from family members than this place. This place is a joke.
DO NOT COME HERE. Extremely rude. Took hours to get anyone to even talk to us. Nurses literally laughing at me and acusing me of drinking. Disgusting. DO NOT COME HERE EVER!!!!!!!!!!
Six months ago my daughter was experiencing some mental health issues and they was nice and took the lead to helping her. She transferred to another place but they made sure she went to a place we're she can get the help she needed. Thannks
Don’t come here!!!! I sprained my ankle and when I went inside the first thing staff told me that the er was a 8 hour wait!!!! And they were pretty much right!!! I got there at 12 am and didn’t leave until 6:45 a.m!!! For a sprained ankle!!! I thought this was completely ridiculous and I will never in my conscious life return here!!!!
Question. How does a tiny hospital like NGH manage to have a busy signal for hours at a time but the larger hospitals like Jackson etc have no problem with phone calls?? Are they sleeping? Drinking? What. Might as well go to the local veterinary for help!!
As soon as l arrived to emergency they took very very good care of me quickly.
Thank you so very so much!!
I just had surgery on my spine with Jefferson. Not only was the surgeon absolutely incredible, knowledgeable, conservative in his approach, but the entire staff from reception to cleaning was so friendly and compassionate. The nurses who took care of me post-op and while I spent the night there are the best I’ve encountered going above and beyond for me. Highly recommend for anyone who needs any type of neurosurgery done!
I came in for back pain so bad I had trouble moving. I was here for 5 hours and they gave me a lidocaine patch which was cold for about 2 minutes and then was just sticky and useless, a handful of Tylenol and some motrin. I was discharged and told I had muscle spasms and was told to go to my family doctor in a week and I left in still the same amount of pain. I wasn't trying to score some opioids or anything like that I'm just in so much pain and went there as a last resort and wasn't given any care that actually helped and no recommendations for anything like physical therapy or a chiropractor. The room was dirty I was staying in, the pictures attached are of the room the patch on the floor isn't from me and the brown mystery spill wasn't from the care they gave me and was right next to where they put my cup of water and during the initial evaluation the staff didn't sanitize the area or the vitals equipment between bringing people in the room. The only good thing was the staff was nice even though they didn't actually help my pain.
