(I couldn’t even wait to take a few bites before the picture… it was that good!)

I’ve eaten at a LOT of middle eastern restaurants in the city, this one tops the cake. The service is amazing, with a nice little area to sit down and enjoy your fresh and handmade meal. (And the location of the restaurant is super convenient! Right on grant and pembina). The chicken, whether it be for a shawarma, or a skewer/shish tawook, is so juicy and delicious. The donair meat is hands down the best I’ve ever had. The falafels will make you want to never stop eating!!! Perfection at its finest. Ashur is the place to go. 10/10 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ God bless

I am always looking for a great breakfast place & today I tried this restaurant. It is really very nice, the service was excellent, prices were good, the food was good but bland. I will be back to try a lunch menu which has Persian food!

One of the best kabab I have ever had!!!
Thank you so much to Maslah for the great service. Next time I will definitely dine in as one thing I noticed was the atmosphere and smile I got to witness.

I went to Ashur today after some time. It is under new management. I loved the food! It has the same flavor to it that I enjoyed from my last visit. The staff provided a service with a smile. They are super friendly and caring. We finished the meal with some delicious tea and baklava. I am pretty sure the tea isn't on the menu but they gave us some as it was near closing time. We will definitely be stopping by here in the near future!

Great food, great service and very aesthetically pleasing atmosphere. The wrap was really good and the fries were amazing. I loved the robot and the people were so kind! Great place to eat with a really unique style 🩷
I’m still reeling from the unforgettable feast I had at Ashur Restaurant! Their 1kg Mix Grill is a MUST-TRY - it’s a flavor explosion that will leave you craving more.
The generous portion arrived sizzling hot, loaded with tender, juicy cuts of lamb, beef, and chicken skewers all expertly marinated and grilled to perfection. The combination of textures and tastes was pure magic. It’s amazing for a family of 6 and there will still be leftovers and it’s amazing for parties my favourite dish at Ashur Restaurant. It’s just pure perfection.

Wonderful dining experience!
Drove by this spot for years and always wanted to try this place. Finally tried and so happy we did!
Maryam was warm, friendly and very attentive. 2 of us opted for the platter for 4 so that we could enjoy everything.
Perfect mix of spices and taste was exceptional. Our fave meat was the sour chicken, though the name doesn’t do it any favours! The picked garlic was a must-try add on. Grilled jalapeños were straight 🔥 and the grilled tomatoes were a nice touch. Not overly seasoned or greasy at all.
We were also intrigued with the robot who came around and delivered food occasionally to the other tables.
Overall a wonderful experience and excellent food. Will be back!!
Ashur Restaurant – A Middle Eastern Gem on Pembina Rd!

This place is an absolute gem! From the moment we walked in, we were struck by the warm, welcoming vibe and incredibly friendly staff. The food? Simply lip-smacking! The falafels are hands-down the best in the city, and the shawarma is grilled to perfection. The rice is of top-notch quality, and the grape leaves were so delicious that we couldn’t even think of giving them anything but a 10/10.

To top it all off, the freshly made Baklava is an absolute must-try – a perfect sweet ending to an unforgettable meal.

After tasting almost everything on their menu, we decided to hire Ashur for catering at a recent get-together. Our guests were blown away by both the food and the excellent service. Highly recommended for any occasion!

I really miss shawarma, and I'm looking for a place where it will be as similar as possible to what I know. I found this place based on reviews on maps and I didn't regret it. It's very clean, smells very good of delicious food. And finally, chicken shawarma is what I wanted. Thank you.

Yesterday, we visited Next Stop Cafe, a charming Persian spot, and were completely blown away! From the moment we walked in, the cozy, welcoming atmosphere set the tone for an unforgettable dining experience. The decor, warm lighting, and subtle Persian touches throughout the café really made it feel like a slice of Persian culture right here in Winnipeg.

We ordered the kebab platter, orange cream tea, roasted garlic, and their in-house mango pistachio ice cream—everything was absolutely delicious. In the six years I’ve been here, I haven’t had food this authentic and flavorful. It truly felt like we were savoring a home-cooked meal straight from the heart of Persia.

Our server, Mariam, was fantastic. She explained the dishes with such enthusiasm, making sure we knew what to expect and even recommending some hidden gems on the menu. Her genuine hospitality made us feel right at home.

The owner, Mona, added a lovely personal touch by coming over to check on us and see how we were enjoying the food. You could tell they care deeply about creating a memorable experience for every guest.

I’m officially in love with this café. Next time, I’m trying their breakfast and lamb shanks! If you’re looking for an authentic, locally-owned Persian café with incredible food and a warm, cultural vibe, Next Stop Cafe is a must-visit. Trust me, you’ll leave in love with it too!
I've visited this place a few times now, and I must say, it keeps getting better with each visit. Today, I tried the shawarma, and wow—the chicken was absolutely delicious! The flavors were spot on. I can't quite recall his name—Musla, I believe?—but he was incredibly friendly and provided excellent service. If you love exploring different chicken flavors, I highly recommend this spot. It's a solid 10 out of 10. The food and customer service are simply outstanding. Definitely give it a try!

Absolutely lovely Cafe with delightful staff and fun decor! This has quickly become our neighbourhood local.

The menu has a nice a nice range with classic North American options for the picky eaters and more some more interesting dishes you're unlike to find elsewhere.

The digital menus and call buttons are a great feature to streamline service and the delivery robot is of course very cute and fun for the youngsters.

Also they have their own delivery service so skip the middle markup and order directly from their website if you're not dining in.

We visited this place during our trip to Winnipeg and shared the Koobideh kebab and a sour chicken kebab (though I'm not sure of the exact name) with my husband. Both dishes were amazing, especially the sour one with walnuts. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend!
My husband and I often passed by this place, but never stopped by. Finally we decided to give it a try and we are happy we did so.
The place is cozy and has a great design that let us feel we are in another part of the world.
The staff is very friendly, especially Mariam who welcomed us cheerfully and made sure that everything was okay the whole time we stayed there.
We strongly recommend this fabulous place to take all of your stress away for a while and simply enjoy your time.
Very nice place. The food is very tasty, huge portions, everything is inexpensive. Especially liked the beef kebab.Waiters are very attentive and positive. The robot kitten is very funny. Nice atmosphere.
We had an amazing service provided by Rama and Haitham. It was our first time with Arabic food and they suggested the 2 can dine in option that included many different options. Food was excellent and we would definitely come back when in Winnipeg again. Thanks for your friendly service.

Absolutely best best best best middle eastern food in Winnipeg. Have went three times and gotten the chicken shawarma platter with hummus and tzatziki. Inside isn’t very cozy but great service and makes for a delish takeout option.

Donair was the worst I’ve had anywhere and was waaay overpriced (it was small and light so should have been around $6-$9 max but it was like $13… absolutely ridiculous.)

Cannot comment on any other food items as I didn’t try anything else… so to keep it neutral I’ll put 3 stars

Excellent place for kabab. This is my second time here and wasn't disappointed at all. Was very happy with the food and service. We ordered mixed platter for two. We specifically enjoyed the tawouk and donair kabab. Price is very budget friendly. Definitely our go to place when we're craving for kabab platter. Their fries are pretty amazing too. My only concern is the heating wasn't on and it was cold inside and I kept my jacket on. It's possibly because they cooked right there and it maybe too hot for them. Completely understandable. It's halal.

Amazing food and great value. Look at the size of plater and all that for less the $20. You can't even get anything under that price at a fast food chain these days and it's way fresher and actual food not processed garbage.. Was blown away.

Ramallah Cafe has been a longtime favorite of mine, and I've been a regular customer for years. Throughout the challenges of COVID, I was relieved to see them survive because their food is truly unbeatable. They have the platters and shawarma.
Reminder to self not to come back. Heard good things about this restaurant and came with high expectations to only leave disappointed. Had the platter with an assortment of meats. Meats had no flavour. Fries seemed like they were from Costco but seasoned. Salad was awful, rice was hard. Pita was bland and hard. The yogurt and hummus dips did nothing for the meal.

Save yourself a trip and head to Baraka on Main!

Amazing Shawarma, fresh and tasty salads, toum is really good, hummus is great and the Shrak bread is good too. Photos are a mix shawarma platter, no rice, extra Greek salad with a serving of Shrak and a Turkish coffee

This place has fantastic food. Personally this is the first middle Eastern restaurant I have gone to in winnipeg. The food quality was the best I've had in a very long time. Everything was well cooked and seasoned perfectly. The staff here were very encouraging and helpful as some of the dishes I had trouble pronouncing. The portions were well worth the cost too. I got a kafta platter dish for 16$ and was so full I had to take about 1/4 home with me. I will definitely be going here again.

We went there on a weekday night and ordered Mezeh appetizer and two of their wrap combo. The restaurant always reminds me of the old cafe' in the Middle East and finally, I went there. The Mezeh which is a combination of 4 of their popular appetizer where recommended and it was good. However, the wraps (beef Shoverma and Donaire) were not the best.
Overall, it was a fine old-fashioned restaurant.

One of the best Shawarmas in north America. Their Saj is always fresh and tasty and the meat is perfect. I always enjoy their Shawarma when I am in town. I highly recommend!

01/20/2023 We went to Ramallah about 3PM. We ordered 4 wraps one vegetarian, garlic sauce plate, extra bread, Strawberry banana smoothie and a canned ginger ale. Ordering was easy and all the prices were good. All four of us thought that the time to to prepare the food was slow. The appetizer came out at the same time as our wraps. The smoothie was not cold and the banana over powered the smoothie taste. All four wraps were very good and the portion size was large. As for flavour it was very good. The appetizer was oh my gosh exceptional! We were happy we ordered the extra bread.
All in all a good experience. Our time in the restaurant was just over an hour. We did have some wraps left over which was nice because we love leftovers.
The highlight was our garlic appetizer with extra bread.
We will go back again.

Love to try different cuisine especially Middle Eastern. I'm a big fan of their fries so crunchy and delicious, love it! Falafel also was good and full of flavor. On top of that their generous shawarma plate with rice, veggies, hummus, and garlic sauce was delicious too.

Overall, it was a great experience, fast service, clean, and amazing food.
