Got 4 plates as we were driving home. It’s pretty standard halal cart for $9. Not sure if that’s $ but it was good while we were hungry and wanted a cheap place to eat.
Fairly priced good and Quick Service fast food cook with passion

I now realize I have been paying more for less quality when eating elsewhere. Delicious rice, great spice and friendly price. First place #1

Exceptional halal food cart with savory dishes and ample portions. The kebabs are tender and juicy, and the rice is fragrant. Quick turnaround and courteous staff make it a favorite stop.

The halal food cart offers mouth-watering meals at excellent prices. The beef shawarma is a highlight, and the hot sauce adds the perfect
kick. Efficient service and kind staff enhance the experience.

Fantastic halal food cart with tasty and well-seasoned dishes. The lamb gyro is a standout, and the falafel is perfectly crispy. Friendly service and speedy preparation make it a go-to spot

Delicious halal food with generous portions and great prices. The chicken over rice is flavorful, and the white sauce is a must-try. Quick service and friendly staff make it a top choice.
Has a sign that says "bacon, egg, & chese w/ large coffee - $5", but then charged an extra $2 for the coffee. Change the sign if your prices have changed! On top of that, bacon wasn't real bacon, it was turkey bacon (2 measly slices) and he didn't mention it at all. Super irritated I came back to my office and don't want to eat this or the watered down coffee. My go to is usually Mario's cart on the corner of 67th and 1st, learned my lesson the hard way!

I loveee falafels! They gyro was made perfect will come again when i am near :) and if you walk 5 mins down central park should be there and you can enjoy the scenery when eat!
Stay far away! No prices on the truck. scammed me outside the museum of natural history for $32 for chicken over rice and chicken wings plus a fake 13% sales tax (NYC is 8%).

Super small portions, total ripoff just because this scumbag thinks he can.

I didn’t get the food but I’m here to say that the person working there was very rude. I decided to ask him what he recommends, and Instead of answering me, he acts frustrated and says I’m wasting his time. Okay, but it takes 3 seconds to answer that, you could’ve used that time to answer my question rather than saying that, and there is only one other person in the line. I then told him I’ll decide and to take the next customer, he tells that person I’m a joke. If it’s really that personal why do you even have this job, you can lose money if you’re going to be this rude to others. At that point I didn’t want his food so I decided to leave and again he does some sort of grunt. Don’t expect me to come back, please go on and continue driving other people away with this attitude. 1 star is too nice for the service, he deserves 0 stars.

Sorry to say this, but this place needs changes ASAP. The food was good. I used to love it and like it, but definitely something is going on
Chicken burn or with a weir taste
The fries sometimes are undercooked or burn
The atencion of the guys is really bad
I understand that sometimes they are busy o people has problems but if you are working in a place like this you should be kind and polite
I ask the guy if he has a Philly cheese, and he says no!! I asked if he had a cheese burger, and he said no ok. Then I asked for wings, and he completely ignored me just because I'm in a wheelchair I understand that many homeless or some people on a street condition abuse, but come on.
Just to see if how bad was the atention I told my brother to go and ask if he have the same items I try to order and just the Philly wanst on the menu I feel disappointed and sad how people change in this times.

Had food there 3 times in the last 2 weeks. The white sauce didn't do anything for me but the red sauce was very good. The portions were a little bigger than the usual food truck fare. Food is pretty good but had better from food trucks. The best part of it is that they are there 24/7. Had food there 3 in the morning on a Sunday night and during peak lunch and dinner times. Food is very consistent.

You’re paying $9 for the fancy truck to get ripped off with mediocre food, barely any chicken and a ton of raw onions after on top to create an illusion. The guy also shouting talking on phone preparing your food spit flying out his mouth. So many better other options near. Never again

Small portions compared to the halal cart right around the street from it. I don’t understand how this place gets business when the quantity and quality is so much better at the cart literally next to it

Food was not what I expected I asked for a mix player and I got left smal chunks for chicken and lab. And the portions are very small compared to other trucks. Also got some of the fried food, it was straight out of the freezer and tasted bad
Could use a lot of improvement. Definitely not worth the time to go there.

Best food truck in New York. Clean and Delicious, the prices are very affordable too! I can eat there everywhere!
I thoroughly enjoyed the delicious lamb over rice. The flavors were exquisite, and the freshness of the ingredients stood out. The tender lamb, paired with aromatic rice, created a perfect combination. The portion size was generous, making it a satisfying and flavorful meal. Highly recommended! NYC🩵
Flavorful lamb over rice - exactly what it should taste like and a nice side of refreshing salad to go with it. Big portion for how much it cost (under $10) Owner was super nice and accommodating. Would definitely order again!
Great lamb over rice. I’ve tried half a dozen in Lenox hill and they do it so well. Open 24 hours too!

Forgot to add lamb to my chicken and lamb over rice order. And the chicken was burnt and old. I got the food in the middle of the day.

The area of the truck is also not safe. Filled with drugged out people and dealers, asking you questions.

The service is not good and the communication is poor. Took 10 minutes for him to find my order that I made online.

Check your food before you leave, asked for a hamburger with just pickles and they gave me a cheeseburger with onions and pickles, couldn't even eat it.
I usually only comment on places if anything is nice but tonight I just got Food from here and I have to warn you. They literally gave me something old by warming it up. I ordered the food and they gave it to me in a sec. I ate chicken over rice from many places and i know how long it takes for one to get ready. Even after having this many doubt after i got the food i thought nothings going to happen since they are an open business they should be giving out fresh foods but once i entered my home and tasted the food. I couldn’t eat much longer. You could taste the oldness of the food. I really like the chicken over rice but this one has disappointed me very much.

Ridiculous, I bought a chicken over rice around 9pm and the skinny dude charged me $9 when it should be $8. (The chubby dude was nice, but not this skinny dude). I thought they raised the price so I didn't ask, until I saw another person commenting that this dude will scam your money.
Don't buy from them unless you want your money to be scammed.
Friendly service, food was perfect. Some heat, great flavor, everything you want from an NYC food cart.
Over charging people dont ever go here. He his purely a theif.

This is my go to for halal food! The chicken gyros are $5 and the chicken over rice is $8 and they don’t skimp on the chicken! There is a young guy (about 25) with a full beard, whose customer service is impeccable! Check it out it’s located right in front of the Schomburg Center in Harlem.

My man’s red sauce is out of this world. So so so good. Love the ($10) lamb/chicken combo — what more can you ask for! And such great vibes.

They take card as well. I’m coming back every week.
I don’t usually rate but this was kinda just terrible. The meat was burnt and the usual fries weren’t included. The rice was also bland. I had this a couple times and it was decent but never this bad. Meat was literally burnt.
Takes so long to give food. This is a cart, not restaurant. You can go to any other cart and get same or better quality food for quicker time. And the people treat customers like they don’t even want to be working & serving. I probably won’t visit again
I had the lamb over rice and asked for extra hot sauce because I like it really spicy. The heat was definitely there, but what I loved the most was how tender the lamb was! Really good food, great value, nice guy!
Cheap and delicious food, would highly recommend if you’re in the area!
Guy was very friendly and food was good. The issue came when he tried to charge me more for the food than what was stated on the menu by the window. Said those prices were wrong and he would have to charge me the new prices. I told him those were the advertised prices and couldn't just change them at a whim. If he wants to change advertised prices then he had better get rid of that old menu and put one with the updated ones ASAP otherwise he could keep his food. He honored those prices but it just soured the experience. Would recommend you get the prices he's charging before placing orders.

Friendly brothers. Food is good and halal 😋
Very easy to spot. Will return for sure.
Awful food and honestly they were so rude too. There are better halal carts out there. Would not recommend eating from here. 🤮

If you want dry halal and dry customer service, then this cart is your go to.
I don't know what goes on at this restaurant but sending out good food or even what is ordered is not it. I only do delivery and really could not believe my eyes on several occasions when I opened the container and it got worse by tasting it. Yes. Got my refunds but who has time for that when you're hungry. Never, ever again. Wow!
worth the wait. quality food and proportions
Finally, a place to get my chicken/lamb/combo over rice on Sundays!

The salad part of it is slightly different, but otherwise it is very similar to the Halal carts. In particular, the salad includes a few pickles and pimento stuffed olives. If you don’t like them, you you can easily pick them out.

This is free market economics at work. This truck gets my money on Sundays, and not the others.
Excellent food truck. Delicious taste, great price and friendly staff!
I got the chicken over rice ($8). Waited about 5 -7 minutes. They accept card but not Apple Pay. Small portions though!

Great example of a true NYC street food experience and an affordable place for lunch. I usually take my food to go and eat it at the open seating area near Saint Peter’s Church. The combo or the lamb gyro are awesome. Guy is nice and there pretty much all day.

Great food the combo plates are very filling and $9 with a can soda or 500ml water. The gyros are also great to eat on the walk. Very nice guy too, always pay a visit to him when I’m in the area.
Chicken, rice and vegetables over white sauce and hot sauce 😝😝😝
I got a falafel over rice plus fries on the side and boyyyy was it a great quantity cause it actually got me through dinner AND breakfast the next day so they’re great
Great food at good prices especially in the city. My family in came for vacation and absolutely loved the lamb and chicken over rice. Definitely recommend others to try it.
Habibi is really good. Breakfast-wise, I had the most tasty while the cheapest egg and cheese on a croissant here.
Really I’m not sure if he is serving hallal food I feel it’s not halal
charged $8 for a lamb gyro one day and then charged $6 another time. No prices posted. Scam artist.
Chicken = 3/5 too dry and lacks flavor
Lamb = 3/5 flavor is fine but too dry
Rice = too dry
Sauces 4/5
Tried falafel gyro yesterday, it was great portion, rich with falafel, salad, french fries and white sauce. Definitely a great experience and great value for what’s being served. The cart is clean and offers a good deal of options. So glad we have this cart nearby. Can’t wait to try the chicken kebab over rice !

If anyone is ever Hungry, come to 71 NY Halal Food. For under 10 dollars you will get the most flavorful combo over rice. They have the option to grill onion pepper and they don't skimp on the portions. On a cold today nothing warms me up as quick as the combo over rice. Stop by for delicious and leave with a smile on your face from the amazing customer service. If this isn't enough to convince you, they accept credit and debit card. Not many carts do.
Went to the cart after seeing great reviews and got combo over rice. Unfortunately they barely gave any meat and the chicken barely had any flavor. Besides that, the food was ok not great.

This is one of my go to chicken and rice food carts. I think the quality is a bit higher and portions are a bit smaller than the truck to the north of the block. I think they're pretty comparable to the truck on 70 and 1st. Regardless, they're fast and consistent. Depending on who's working that day you may get different options for veggies
So freaking yummy! Close to my hotel and I’m super picky with food, but this food truck serves some awesome food. The guy that works there is so nice. Highly recommend trying them out.
Good 24 hour halal option in Harlem, proximity to the hospital keeps the food turnover good and fresh. Lamb/Chicken and Rice with chopped pita over are my to go options here.
Lamb and rice...too good and $6. Filling and tasty. Great pick me up.

This is the best halal cart on the UES. Always give a lot more high quality chicken and salad than others around. Owner Reda is super nice!
