An absolutely magnificent fountain right next to the cathedral. I recommend reading the plaque as it describes not just the big sculpture but also the little ones around the "Ring of Freedom."

I've been to this town multiple times , we do bible study. The Residents of this town are miserable and cold . The old folks are mean and ugly . This is the most unwelcoming place and people I've seen in my life .

Lights , lawn, babies circling the fountain, a beautiful sculpture of the Tree 🌳 of Life....lovely place to be

The cool breeze and mist you get from sitting on the benches next to this on a hot summer day are amazing! Always astonished me how clean the area is for the amount of people crammed into it.

I volunteer at The Cathedrals food pantry every sunday, didnt realize this was there. Its beautiful!

A very unique piece of art - great detail.

Beautiful place to read,seat, pic nic or just relax.

It was great! If you are not far from this place and you're working as a caregiver...if it's convenient for your patient you can take them there to walk around or talk for 1 hour or more, depending on your schedule. You can take your friend there for a little talk time or Just go by yourself! The choice is yours of course. I used to go there to just sit with my eyes close .

Recommended by a friend… don't know what I was expecting — not this. This is so much better. Worth the trip uptown. And don't miss out on the homey Hungarian pastry shop across the street.

Does not pay on time. Was offered $5000 contact just for them to disappear and not return calls or voicemails for months. The money was (for some reason) not placed on a 30 day turnaround until January (again, work was completed in November) . Even so, the 30 day turnaround should have meant money would transmit by February 6. This business claims to be supporting equity but paying on time is the most equitable thing you can do.

Nice park, love the fountains. You can ice scating here, best place for that in Manhatten. Good walks, nice christmas decorations, all over New york actually. Very festive, sparkly, loads of lights everywhere in city. So nice to walk in little green.

I wasn’t able to get close to the fountain as it closed off but I got enough of a view and it is just amazing.

Peace Fountain is also known as Garden of the Animals. It is located close to the Saint John the Devine. this magnificent has a bronze sculpture is very beautiful. The sculpture is the sign of Good over Devil. It is consists of nine giraffes (Good). And foursquare around the base, flames of freedom rise in witness to the future. Top is a giant crab which points out to the view that the life started in the sea and human struggled to survive.

The moon which faces to the west reflects peace. This is contrast with happy sun faces to the east. It can be concluded that moon is the sign of death or darkness and sun is the sign of life and lightness. I assume that there was a lion and lamb below the sun that can be a sign of peace as well.

Do not miss this place for visit.

Interesting sculpture right next to St. John the Divine Cathedral. There's plenty of seating area to relax and reflect.

Lovely, tranquil place in the city, plenty of kids, friendly dogs and greenery. Flowers are in bloom and they are celebrating their 75th anniversary so there's also some interesting artwork.
Also check out Mona's on Ave B off 14th St.

Always has a beautiful display . The fountain has additional art florets around it to add to it already beauty .

Nice park

It was closed but that sculpture is stunning from outside, will be back another day that when it’s open

A lovely and cozy area. Good for a stroll. Nicely decorated for the holidays. A small but cute ice skating area that is well used by the neighborhood. The playground area is ample and well taken care of. Along the path you will find decorations and a small but friendly coffee shop.

Want able to find tool by the yard. Had to buy big roll more than I needed.

This is a very nice place for relaxing it have an Ice skating rink for all ages just a few ft away. You have to be a resident of Stuytown or Peter Cooper before you can get access. It doesn't matter if you have full season pass,you need to get a ticket/wrist band to skate. The only problem you have to wait in an open air environment, exposed to the element 🥶 for 75 minutes. They have a few heating lantern that doesn't work. Dress warm if you intend to wait for your kids.

Perfect place for kids to cool down after walking around in the park. It’s open late and during this heat wave it was a nice spot.

Its not worth staying in line for hours to se the Statue of Liberty , better take the staten island ride for free and get by the statue without waiting in line for hours.

The fountain brings a little bit of life to this crowded park.

Don't miss this artsy quirky fountain when you go visit the cathedral. It is in the park right next door. Consisting of a central fountain, surrounded by children's sculptures, some are quite fascinating.
