I was cared for so deeply by GBC from my first prenatal appointment, throughout the entire birth experience, and postpartum. I highly recommend this practice!

My first birth was traumatic from start to finish. I was ordered around by hospital staff, not allowed to labor in the positions I needed, and given medication without my knowledge--let alone my consent. I didn't know it could be different.
But then I found Gentle Birth Care.
During my prenatal appointments I was treated with the utmost respect. Corinne obtained consent before every exam and took her time to answer my questions and get to know me as a person rather than just a customer.
When baby day came, Corinne, Becky, and Tesha were just as excited as I was! They gave me tips to manage the pain and get the most out of every contraction. I got in the pool and waited for the contractions to get stronger. They got stronger, but never became unbearable like my first birth. I couldn't believe it when I felt like pushing! I thought I had hours to go!
My sweet baby girl came screaming into the world after an hour and a half in the pool. It was so magical and healing and I couldn't have done it without Gentle Birth Care.

I highly recommend GBC!!! In 2017, I delivered my first baby at home, in water, with GBC and couldn’t have asked for a better birth experience. After such a beautiful birth, I knew that “once you go home birth, you don’t go back!” :) And, “there’s no place like home birth!” Just this past August, I had my second baby at home with GBC, also in water. I didn’t think a birth could get any better and it did! The midwives with GBC are incredibly supportive, caring, empowering, knowledgeable, and competent! My family and I are so grateful for them and plan to have all our future babies with them, God willing! Here are some pics from my most recent birth!

Hands down the most beautiful, peaceful, and amazing birth I have had. I have three children and the first two were natural hospital births with different midwives. The respect and care that I was given with GBC during my third pregnancy and birth far outweighs what I previously experienced. I felt heard, respected, and in control the entire time. I am currently expecting my fourth baby and am so excited to have another beautiful home birth with GBC!
