The doctor I saw the conducted the tests was very rude. He had no bedside manner whatsoever. Hooked up the electrodes wrong during a nerve conduction study and shocked me multiple times telling me that it's in my head and that I shouldn't jerk and move like that from the test. Then he replaced and removed the wires and put new ones on and it ran fine. Then he proceeded to tell me that I have nothing wrong after being in a motor vehicle accident and losing the ability to use my hands and now having tingling in my fingers. I would say find a different place. I do not recommend

Unfortunately the reviews were true. I tried to come in with as much positivity as I could but Dr. Jamil is just as bad as everyone says. I was first assisted by Rose who did an exam on me, she was very pleasant and I feel bad that she has to work at a place like this. However when I saw the doctor, he did not let me speak to him and told me I can talk to my family doctor when I was trying to tell him my symptoms and my reason for coming in. I don’t have a family doctor which he knows. He said the results of the exam performed by the medical assistant were fine and there is nothing he can do for me and he turned out of the room and left. I don’t know what to do now or who can help me if the neurology clinic won’t look further into my issues.
Waited many mths for neurologist appt for trigeminal neuralgia (TN) referral. Saw Dr Jamil in Dec'23, he confirmed the diagnosis for TN but would not order a brain MRI which I was shocked to learn (9 months later!) is absolutely necessary and mandated by ALL neurology protocols for this condition. This is inexcusable and has delayed any possible treatments and surgery options for me by at least a year! AVOID!
I was referred to this clinic as I have a condition that needs surgery in the future, but I need to have follow up with a neurologist to monitor my condition before surgery. I found out they declined my referral because I wanted talk to a neurologist about what symptoms are connected to my condition before receiving medication. This clinic refuses to see me with my questions. I can only be accepted as a patient if I will just comply with meds without questions or answers. I seriously cannot believe it, but the receptionist confirmed this when I called. I have now been accepted to the Kaye clinic instead.
My relative saw Dr. Ahmed Emsalem and will never see him again. He would not let her talk. When she tried he held up his hand to stop her. Very very poor bed side manners. He did not help her at all. For a health care professional it was a horrible experience.

Dr Jamil was absolutely terrible. I can confirm through my own personal experience, that everything everyone has already said in other reviews is 100% true. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS CLINIC.
I had an appointment with Dr. Emsalem today. He is one of the nicest, thorough Dr.'s I've been to. I immediately felt comfortable upon meeting him. The lovely lady who did my test was Rose and she made me feel very comfortable. I did not experience any pain whatsoever. I highly recommend this Dr. They also do not keep you waiting past your appointment time. Everyone I encountered at theEdmonton Neurology clinic treated me kindly.
Doctor Jamil is rude, dismissive and unhelpful. He spent a total of three minutes in the room with me and did nothing. Despite me having carpal tunnel symptoms that cause numbness every day and make me unable to do my job, he told me "it's mild" and wouldn't listen to me when I asked for any treatment options. He literally walked out the door as I was talking to him. This was one of the worst medical experiences I've had and he is the rudest doctor I've ever met.
