Top Function room facilitys in Parkville, Australia

Was pretty excited to get to go to a Xmas party at the zoo, however food served buffet style was very average. Staff were a little confused as to what to do when glass was broken on the ground and there was no broom or dustpan around to clean up. Kids were running around and I ended up having to section the area off with chairs myself. Took another 15 minutes to get a dustpan in to clean it up.
Room was nice, though plain.

It is located inside of the zoo. After regular hours, 6pm, we entered the zoo and went to the restaurant without seeing any animals.

Just had our daughters' 21st party at the rainforest room in the zoo, and the whole experience can be summed up as "perfection". Big thanks to the gorgeous Tori, Hailey, Shannon and the team for our party! From communication, service, food, the function room are all first class! It exceeded our expectation.

We contacted RA - Venues at the Melbourne Zoo to hold a function for my husband’s 70th Birthday.
Victoria is the event Coordinator and we found her to be a warm and friendly person who was able to help us with making decisions on the menus and layout for our function in the Rainforest Room.
She is excellent maintaining the highest standard ensuring she returns your calls and organizing the service so it tailored to fit into our time frames and ideas of how you wish to event to run.
On the day Our Function Supervisor Alisa was fantastic.
She was warm and friendly, quietly spoken lady and nothing was too much trouble for her.
She and her staff did a great job everything ran like clockwork.
We Highly recommend RA Venues at the Melbourne Zoo to anyone who is planning an event and our deepest thanks to Victoria, Alisa and the staff for efforts on the day.

For the amount it costs to book this place I'd assume service would be A class and the bar a bit more experienced, perhaps i was there on an off day and not usually like this.

All went well staff were very helpful.

We didn't get to see the whole place, was disappointed to see more than one enclosure empty. Overall a good day.

Beautiful room near the cutest tree kangaroo for a function. Food could have been better though, not great catering for vegans and special dietary requirements unfortunately.

Beautiful food and great staff. Such a great looking venue with plenty of space! Also such a treat being able to walk through the zoo before/after function.

function catering was awful . Paid $8.50 4 a 1/4 glass of wine . food was mediocre. very disappointed

Nice facilities.

Great place to visit with plenty of things to do , but the highlights were the walking trails though the trees which made the zoo appear bigger than it is. Very well designed and thought out.

Keep $2 coin for car park as it only accept this otherwise if u good with technology use the app or call and wait for few hours which is waistage of your time...$2 car park for 5 hours is great....you spend almost 5 hours and make good memories with ur family....overall it was great experience..my lil ones loved it.
