The place had a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere, the food menu catered to all tastes and eating capacities. The service was good and staff were warm and friendly.

Me and my husband were served by an amazing waiter named Rick. The experience was fantastic, he was bubbly, very accommodating and the food as absolutely fantastic !! We are leaving very full and very happy.

Food was great.. the staff on duty were less than friendly. Simple requests such as "could we get some cutlery with our main meal" seemed to much and we ended up getting it ourselves.. we left feeling like a burden on them for spending just under $90 on lunch and drinks... Based on that, (sorry Lingy) I would not go back.

We had an amazing meal here today!! My porterhouse steak was cooked to perfection, just as I had ordered it medium rare 🙏🏻 the only criticism we might have is that my partner's salmon dish where the only vegetable that he had was onions, so that was disappointing. I always order my meals without onions so I guess I would have had no vegetables if I ordered that dish 😏
Service was friendly and the wine was lovely, so hence we are not going to mark you down for the poor vegetable serving on the salmon, but please reconsider the vegetables you serve with this dish.

A lovely evening out. Service was very good….shout out to Chloe for her care and attention…sat in a great spot with a view of the bay. Drinks were quick…cocktails well made (bartender on the night was friendly and generous with his time…thanks). Food came out quickly and was tasty. Atmosphere was mellow and pleasant. A decent outing…with great views. Worth going for a night out.

We recently had a Corporate Team Function at the National Hotel, Liv was beyond helpful every step of the way with room set up, suggestions around catering etc

Toby & Liv completely looked after us on the night, everything was seamless. Everyone had the best time, room was the perfect size, great music in background, we were really happy how it all came together.

Fantasic dinner and bar! Service is excellent, everyone is very welcoming and attend to you to make sure your experience is as good as could be. Amazing atmosphere and nightlife, food was also amazing, and very well priced. Definitely will be back!

Previous to breakfast this morning we had only attended for various evening events. We were pleasantly surprised by the value and quality of our breakfast foods. We arrived early and had a choice of tables. Following our order we were asked to pay upfront at the table which I thought was a little unusual, though staff were friendly and accomodating throughout our visit.

Liz was so wonderful to deal with, and made the process of organizing my daughter's 21st birthday a breeze!
The staff on the night were both incredibly professional and extremely helpful.
The food was delicious, and the night was a huge success.

Made my birthday the best night I could have possibly had. Liz was absolutely incredible with the planning and perfecting my vision for the night. Wish there was more communication in regards to the bar tab running low as a few people had to pay for drinks unknowingly as we were promised communication. Overall, amazing night.

The National Hotel exceeded all expectations for hosting our lowkey baby shower. From start to finish, the process was incredibly smooth, thanks to Liz and the attentive staff we had on the day, who made sure every element was exactly what we wanted. The National Hotel offered a full serviceable bar, own bathrooms, lift access and plenty of space for our guests. The atmosphere was delightful, the roof top venue was top notch, and we received so many compliments of the catered food, making it a truly memorable experience for us.

The playlist made the parmi look like a plain bowl of rice it was that elite 🎵

We came in just on the dot of 9pm just before the kitchen was closing, the staff (Ella) was super attentive and had a can do attitude as opposed to saying she couldn’t help which one might expect near closing time. The food was very quick and very tasty, steak dish was a big portion tasty
and vegetarian options were good (compliments to the chefs). Dog friendly venue was a plus for us. Given the variety of places to eat and drink in the area. This is a safe bet. Thanks Ella!

$25 steak night can't go wrong. Fantastic staff, delicious food and a great atmosphere. Classic pub! Will return.

Just decided to have dinner here and I ended up getting the steak and my partner got the chicken and both cooked perfectly. The drinks were wonderful. The girl behind the bar was fantastic ,service all in all. It was a great evening I even got a candle on my desert because it was my birthday.

We had lunch at the newly renovated National, gone are the bad old days of grungy patrons. It's now lovely, where you can bring anybody and have a great time. We ordered from the lunch express menu, I had the steak sandwich, it was good. The service was also good, the rooftop terrace is worth a visit. I'd definitely recommend the National for meals and a drink.
