Jared is a fantastic person of contact, thoughtful, generous and caring. The staff are professional, the premises relaxing and high end. The community solid and helpfull. Great location. A 10 rating in all all aspects !!
I researched many retirement homes in Toronto, and Briton House stood out for many reasons. Family owned and operated, an excellent reputation, positive referrals and reasonable pricing put Briton House on the short list. It was quick and easy to book a tour and we were impressed with the comfortable hotel-like atmosphere, relaxing atrium and amenities. Once my loved one moved in, the caring and competent staff provided an environment where she was able to enjoy regular meals, be supported with personal care and flourish, becoming the happy, social person she was before being diagnosed with dementia. You can trust that residents are well cared for, safe and living their best life.

My mom has been here 3 plus years and I can tell you with confidence that Belmont House is the best Retirement and long term care home available in Toronto. The waiting list is 6 years for a reason and that time frame keeps growing. The staff is wonderful and many activities are offered daily. It's almost like an all inclusive 5 star hotel for the elderly. The people you find here have all done great things for Canada in their youth. I am proud to belong to this community. ❤️

It’s a well known secret that Belmont House is the best of the best in Ontario. The facility has elite accreditations with a highly skilled and compassionate management team.
The satisfaction rate of Belmont families sits comfortably at 99%! They are currently rolling out the Butterfly program for dementia care, one of the first of its kind in Canada.

With years of experience with family members at Belmont, I have no hesitations whatsoever to recommend.

These people are absolutely the worst kind of individuals hottest day of the year I looked it the driveway I saw an ice cream truck went to buy my boss and I a well earned ice cream only to have a staff member say no I couldn't...... unbelievably why no comparison r sure don't send your loved one to this place. They are very discriminate of others there was no one in line it wouldn't have inconvenienced anyone in the slightest. Absolutely one of the most brutal experiences of my life I m in total shock

My Dad has been living at Briton House since October of 2019. Prior to the pandemic, Dad loved the daily exercise classes, music concerts and socialising over meals in the dining room. Briton House acted quickly and proactively getting PPE early on, to protect staff and residents. Their frequent and regular updates for family of residents, have been helpful, comforting and appreciated. Briton House is one of the first, if not the first, long term care facility to have all staff and residents vaccinnated! An amazing accomplishment! Although we have missed, in person visits, I know staff are working hard to return to, some normalcy for their residents. I have every confidence, their knowledge and skill, attention to detail and care will make this happen.
Perfect retirement home and nursing home well maintained
I had the pleasure of holding a Studio Recital for my private violin and vocal students at the Briton House Recital Hall. The Recital Hall is a hidden gem! It has wonderful acoustics, a baby grand piano, concert lighting, an in-house sound system, and wonderful theater style seating.

The Briton House Staff were very attentive in helping to make sure that all my logistical needs were met; and the residents were a lovely and receptive audience.

My students are still talking about how much fun they had performing at the Briton House!

The Briton house is an excellent retirement home. The food is very good, lots of variety and made fresh every day. A wonderful dining experience. The staff are helpful and always smiling. Rooms are clean. Residents who need help to get up and dressed are given excellent care. There is always something to do. The programs are a variety of monthly outings, and in-house events such as movie nights, pet visits, card games, birthday social and music recitals. Programs are also tailored to the needs of the residents. Mother's day and Father's day brunches were unique in presentation, variety of foods and abundance. There is an indoor salt water pool, great for water walking programs. There is an exercise room with a lot of equipment. They have a beautiful Atrium decorated with an assortment of plants and trees. It is very relaxing to sit with your loved ones and socialize. They have a Briton House news letter which keeps you informed of events and thought for the day. You also get to read about the residents who are new to the home. Many thanks for a wonderful experience. Kudos to the Briton House family and staff.

As a local Toronto Realtor who often works with seniors, I have experienced many retirement/senior care facilities across the GTA. The Briton House has been an almost weekly destination for me over the past 25 years and I have personally experienced all the facility has to offer.

This is a first class organization with the unique benefit of being owned and operated by a caring family personally dedicated to the well being of all who reside there. The administration, staff, medical care, building amenities and maintenance are second to none.

Without hesitation, the Briton House has always been, and remains, my first choice of recommendation to anyone looking for the best in retirement/senior care living in downtown Toronto.

My mother lived there and I volunteered there. Not only is it the "seniors home of choice", it has received the ultimate official confirmation of being the best possible by official inspections resulting in it being accredited "in exemplary standing". Anyone who retires there or who is a long-term patient there or who works or volunteers or visits there should consider themselves truly blessed.

My sister and I are forever grateful that we found Briton House. When our mom developed dementia, we tried her in a couple of places with disastrous results because they didn't have the expertise or sensitivity to deal with her disease. From the moment she moved into Briton House, we could breathe again because everyone involved in her care knew exactly how to make her feel safe and loved and content. The daily activities were creatively geared for the diminishing mind, and there was always lots of laughter. When we wanted to give Mom a change of scenery, we had options to go to in the building: a lovely leafy atrium, where we could have tea, a "beach" room, with the soothing sound of the ocean, and an outdoor patio, with gardens, trees and sky. Finally, Mom loved her room: it was just big enough for us to make it comfy and cosy, but not so big that she felt lost. It was such a relief to know she was comfortable, surrounded by people who genuinely cared for her and looked after her so well. So it went for five years, until Mom died a few months ago in just the way we wished for her -- at peace in her home sweet home. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts to all our friends at Briton House.
