The staff were really nice we had some snacks when we ordered drinks, cocktails were creative and delicious. It was a really nice place to chill and have a couple of drinks.

Cute place. Food was good but food service is very slow. Our drinks came out quickly and then the server avoided us while he got others drinks. It took an hour to get our food for a group of 8. We wondered why the other large group that was finishing as we arrived was so quick to eat and vacate…they must have waited forever too 😔

This bar is a treasure. Yes, spritz and wine are great to enjoy in Venice but it's just as worthwhile to enjoy exquisitely crafted and innovative cocktails here.

First, the menu. Currently, their theme is the seven deadly sins. Who doesn't love a great theme? The drinks' names are as innovative as their ingredients. I went for a gin (?) based drink, infused with, among other things, caper brine, tzaziki, dill and mastika. They served a cracker with feta, cucumber and olives on the side, and yes, this drink was all these things and more in liquid form. Just brilliant, one of the drinks I'll remember for a long time and just very enjoyable for lovers of savoury things.

Then, they encourage guests to order off the menu and be surprised. I got a classic, delicious mezcal old fashioned, my partner got a hot, spicey whiskey drink with just a hint of sweetness. Delicious!
Service took some time when the bar was crowded. We didn't mind because 1) it was worth the wait, 2) of course it takes time to prepare drinks which are ordered off the menu (and casually smoke or flambée them) and 3) it is very nice to savour the drinks for a bit and enjoy complimentary water and grapes without being rushed to consume alcohol quickly or leave. The bar is quite small, we were lucky to snatch up the one very comfy sofa in the room.

Last but not least, great value for money, we payed abou 80 euros for 6 cocktails. I guess you could spend much more money in Venice for mediocre, not at all interesting drinks.

Innovative, unique and delicious cocktails. The clumsy dancer drink was great! Staff is approachable, responsive and extremely nice! This was our first time to Venice and if we are ever able to come back, we will certainly stop here again.

It has a very “speakeasy” vibe with exceptional customer service. The cocktails are all hand crafted with ingredients you might have never heard of - but they are tasty.

The snack bar Castello has great Food. Reasonable prices and great service.

The food seemed like it was heated up from a frozen package.

We got the gluten free pasta and it had a funny lime green colour to it and seemed like it was made from a powdered pre made package.

One of the staff left every time someone ordered, seeming to pick up the food from elsewhere and bring it back to be heated up.

The wait staff were trying to keep tables full and would delay clearing plates and bringing the bill, even when asked repeatedly.

I wouldn’t recommend eating here.

Sarah's service really enhanced our experience and impression of the place. She was so genuine, pleasant, and knowledgeable about the drinks. We really liked her. After we tried a couple of drinks from the menu, she made us a really yummy Bramble.

Truly cozy cocktail bar in Venice. Their menu is inspired by the saga of Back to the Future. The staff is truly truly nice and their cocktails are quite tasty, as well as their so-called 'cicchetti'. Highly recommended! Note: they also have after dinner hot cocktails.

Struggling with finding awesome craft cocktail bar here in Venice but lo and behold we shucked the oyster and found this divine pearl. The ambiance and decor are fully backed up with solid creative drinks using ingredients I’ve never come across, but somehow come together to make a delightful experience in the palette. We tried the Bocolo, Monsteroni, and the Ciaci E Bepi, all very solid drinks. The cherry on top was the friendly and helpful staff, love this place all around!

The prices are super fair, and the vibe is really comfortable for a group or soloing it.

In a place where most restaurants and bars look at you funny if you ask for their ‘non-alcoholic’ options, this place really knocks it out of the ball park and the prices are very reasonable for Venice. For €10 I had a delicious non-alcoholic drink with mushrooms and curry in the ingredients and it was absolutely delicious! A real hidden gem! Also the alcoholic cocktails were excellent I was told by my family. Definitely worth a visit!

So we only had two drinks. It was €12 Euro a beer and €20-odd for a cocktail.

Nice view, and worth visiting for the sight if you're staying in the hotel, but otherwise I can't say I'd recommend it.

An absolute MUST place to visit in Venice!! We met Daniele who is a master mixologist - his cocktails are world class and watching him make them is watching an artist at work. Truly the best cocktails anywhere - especially Daniele’s Espresso Martini - incredible!!. The food served was matched to the cocktails and was superb. We had a great night and made special memories. This place is a fabulous find in Venice.

Great cocktail bar. A bit pricey would cost you >=25 euro if you have 2 drinks. But the cocktails were amazing, the presentation as well.

I would highly recommend this place. The food is exceptional. We had the pasta pomodoro and gin and tonic. It was delicious, and there were no hidden charges or fees. They also have free WiFi.
We were served by Mokbal Hossain, who was an exceptional host with phenomenal customer service.

For sure the best cocktail bar in Venice. I come here when I can with my friends or for a special occasion or simply if I want to drink a very good cocktail. The atmosphere is incredibly nice, it’s seems to be inside another historical period. Drinks are elaborate and sofisticate, good for every palate. It’s expensive compare to one year ago but it’s the consequence about living in a place like Venice! Totally recommended if you are around and if you like good drinks!

All cocktails are interesting and delicious. The waiters tell me in detail how to drink each cocktail. I was upset that there is no such institution in the city in which I live. The pickle was bitten by me and the cocktail was drunk before the photo was taken.

Came for one, stayed for five. Server took us on a lovely cocktail journey fitting our palate perfectly. Well crafted with good liquor. Kept us hydrated too. No hangover the next day. All servers and bartenders were friendly.

Amazing drinks and service. Honestly some of the best cocktails I’ve ever had in my life. The “Nikki old fashioned” is quite possibly the best old fashioned I’ve ever had. The other version of the old fashioned is called the “pulled pork” which is served with a coated pickle which you’re to bite/sip/bite with.

We came here 2 nights in a row, and plan to come tomorrow before we leave for the airport. It’s that good! They deserve all the stars - I would give a 10 if I could.

The best cocktail bar I’ve been to. The service was amazing and the cocktails were truly works of art. They were a great balance and so unique. The servers explained them well to make sure we would like the intense drinks we were ordering. The interior of the venue was stunning as well, so cozy with great paintings on the walls.

Really lovely rooftop bar. We booked tickets when there was a DJ and the music was groovy and wonderful. Great views over Venice and a great sunset. Lovely and chill vibe by the pool and not too crowded. A bit of a faff to get to though just for the bar. To go one stop on the water taxi cost €9 per person for 75 minutes, so it cost us almost €40 just to get there, have a couple drinks and go home. Had I known that, I wouldn’t have gone. I would recommend getting a day pass for the water taxi for €25 and make a day of it travelling around. That cost otherwise is simply too high just to get to this bar in my opinion, if you’re staying in the heart of Venice and not that island.

After reading reviews and having high hopes for this cocktail bar, it completely lived up to expectations, and probably exceeded them. We were welcomed by friendly, cool staff who suggested we sat upstairs. We lounged in the perfectly staged room, listened to slow classics that set the mood for the incredible range of drinks, unlike any other we’ve experienced. Anywhere. If you’re in Venice and you don’t stop in at Il Mercante for a drink, you are doing yourself a disservice.

You can spend a nice evening at this rooftop bar. The view to the west is beautiful at sunset, on the other side you can discover Venice and his iconic palazzo’s and cathedrals.
The cocktails are great, served with walnuts and tasty olives. Very nice and professional services from bar’s staff.

The aperol spritz has Too much aperol not enough spritz. Gross.

Traveling from USA my visit to Venice and the skyline rooftop was amazing! I didn’t have reservations however they allowed indoor seating and I was able to have a seat. I got to splurge the sunset was amazing the food was excellent and the chef even had a minute to come and explain what the platter had and where the exquisite food came from. The service was excellent. Tip for future travelers please follow healthy guidelines and make reservations if you can!

We stumbled on this spot from a list of top cocktail bars in Venice and were really impressed by the experience that we had. While the Experimental Cocktail Club itself is closed, the second hotel bar is providing service, seating patrons on the esplanade or in the garden. We chose to sit in the garden to be out of the sun. The cocktail menu is a smart, eight drink list with some reinterpretations of classic styles/recipes. We tried the entire menu and really enjoyed every drink -- there is something for everyone. In addition to the drinks, we ordered some snacks and really enjoyed them as well -- much better than your average Italian "cicheti". The staff was extremely attentive and the gentleman behind the bar took the time to come over and make recommendations about other drinks (and even drink spots) that we might enjoy. If you're looking for a lovely place to sit and have a special cocktail, make this a part of your Venetian trip.

Microwaved food that's cold in the middle and Aperol spritz that are more expensive than nearby bars. Definitely keep on walking

Terrible food and incredibly lazy staff who kept forgetting what had be ordered. Microwave meal tier food would have had better food from a Tesco ready meal. To add insult to injury we were overcharged. Avoid at all costs.

This is a good spot if you are wanting a spritz (€5) on the beautiful canal front with friendly service and no cover charge. However, I didn’t personally eat here when passing to the bathroom I noticed a room with a few microwaves and empty frozen pasta microwave meal boxes - so if the pasta is affordable this is why.

Not worth it! The Price of each cicchetto was 1/1.50€, but we payed 2€ for each one! Also, they do not accept credit/debit card and that’s a shame! They tried to be sneaky but people can see it!!!
