A really cute bar in Schwabing with a nice atmosphere and great selection of drinks. The service was top notch. They have places outside and inside.
Small, cozy bar in the heart of Schwabing with convivial atmosphere yet quite sophisticated decor. From the wall’s colours to the drinks’ glasses everything looks fabulous. However I expected little bit more from the cocktails. The Monkey Shoulder with honey and ginger was just too sugary, the honey taste covering everything else. After that I asked for a cocktail they would recommend and surprisingly they served a blended scotch with ginger ale…I mean out of all the signatures cocktails they have why something I can get in any “pouring” bar, very strange. But I will give it a second try, this time ordering myself ;)
The food is very delicious and the atmosphere is comfortable. I'll definitely go here again

Yesterday we were there with our friends, not much to say.. it was perfect, the service was amazing, the atmosphere was elegant. The dishes were the best!!! I can only recommend. Thanks for everything!

Soup was not hot enough, Caesar salad not interesting. Apparently the pastrami sandwich is excellent as well as some meat dishes. Fun bar. Old world feel.

Location: it is one of the best locations in Schwabing. Few minutes walk from Münchner Freiheit, there is street parking and a parking garage nearby. (5)

Auf der Suche nach einer Kneipe zum Bier trinken, klönen und Musik hören abseits der bekannten Brauhäuser, wurden wir im Shakespeare fündig. Die Wahl erwies sich als Volltreffer. Ein emsiger Wirt, bunt gemischte Gäste aller Altersgruppen, von Touris bis Stammgäste war alles vertreten. Viele Gäste bestellten Cocktails, demnach scheinen die hier sehr gut zu sein. Es war ein schöner Abend gewesen mit frisch gezapftem Bier und toller Pop- und Rockmusik. Fazit: wenn ich wieder in München bin, geht’s wieder zum Shakespeare.
Strange experience. We came with my husband to have some cocktails. Then I saw it was a woman at the door to charge you 15 Euro per person. And not a hello, welcome. We re from San Diego and thought it was a strange way to be welcomed. A bit absurd to welcome new customers. So we left and never bought anything from this place .

Great cocktail bar with a great vibe and one of the best cocktails that I have ever had. Amazing flavour combinations when reading on the menu I wouldn’t think it works but it so does. I think about 80% of the people in the bar are ordering it, but there are also many others to try. Great bar with a great friendly crowd and very helpful bar staff.
Food and service is impeccable especially the starters and mains (desserts were not our favorite, they didn’t taste like much) - we really had a great time. However, it is really on the pricey side with rather small portions and no sides with the mains.
Eine der besten Bars/Clubs Münchens. Dazu Cocktails, gutes Essen, Einrichtung genau mein Geschmack und auch noch günstige Preise.

A great place to enjoy a great variety of cocktails. And the quality of the cocktails is fantastic. We had a large group and the staff was able to accommodate us.
They have also great food. We had several vegetarians with us and they were able to find good items from the menus.

Super schöne Location; im Retro Stil. Wir waren einige Male bei der 80er Party; wirklich toll. Schön, dass es so etwas in dieser Art noch gibt.
Schade ist nur, dass es nicht soviele Sitzplätze gibt. Aber in der Website sind alle Termine mit genügend Vorlaufzeit eingetragen, dann muss man halt rechtzeitig reservieren.

Spontaneous visit for drinks on a Saturday night. Extensive cocktail menu and a very harmoniously melded Singapore Sling, one can barely taste the difference with Raffles hotel variant! Small space with rather old-fashioned wooden design which gives its own charm and is filled with „regular patrons“ crowd.
One thing that kept me interested, is the distribution of snacks (olives/chips) order — we did not get any, while most surrounding tables did.
Overall a nice place for a couple of drinks.

I tried here a special cocktail- Daiquiri la Floridita and felt in love. It’s my fave cocktail for a while now.
They have a variety of choices for some good and also special cocktails. Atmosphere is just special as well.

Wie war sehr zufrieden und hatten uns eigentlich wohl gefühlt. Aber am Ende waren die Drinks sehr warm. Als wir lediglich nach mehr Eis gefragt haben, wurden wir schroff abgewiesen mit dem Hinweis, dass es nicht mehr Eis zur Verfügung gäbe, da nicht mehr Eis zur Verfügung steht.
Sehr schade bei den Preisen.

Super nice waiter and place overall, felt almost like home (Spain). Really nice chorizo and gambas al ajillo, also spanish beer. Tortilla could have been better but it was not bad for the first attemp of the chef (as the waiter told us). Also bread was burnt but other than that, best tapas I’ve had in Munich so far.
Ich kann mich den hier negativen Kommentaren in keiner Weise anschließen. Auf einer Bar-Hopping Tour würden wir auch an einem Samstag Abend sehr herzlich und willkommen aufgenommen. Die Bedienung war extrem nett und zuvorkommend, die Cocktails einer der besten die ich jemals getrunken habe. Ich würde und werde hier auf jeden Fall wieder kommen!
Ich war hier bereits wiederholt und hatte immer wirklich nette Abende. Die Atmosphäre ist sehr speziell, das Personal sehr aufmerksam und hilfsbereit bei der Auswahl der Drinks und die Drinks selbst sind ein Genuss. Kann hier vor allem den smoked Gentleman sehr empfehlen.

Such a hidden gem in central Munich! Did not try the food but boy, what a cocktail list! Pages on upon pages of exceptional, creative yet also classic cocktails. Every single one executed to perfection. Rustic atmosphere, “unique” staff, but does it ever deliver.
Great food and wine! Very friendly and welcoming. Good ambiance.

This girl is legit the best bartender/server I have probably ever met (and I have been around). She gave me great recommendations not just in terms of the menu but also about Munich culture. As a first-time visitor I was welcomed very warmly by her.
The co-server made an AWESOME mango margarita.

I was there for lunch on a Sunday. Tapas were great for lunch to share with friends. The service was good, no annoying personnel. I loved the dessert.

Would not recommend to eat because:
- Orders were forgotten twice even, if service were politely reminded (we gave up to a certain point)
- Food arrived before drinks were served (yes we waited for some time)
- Bill contained stuff not served

Irgendjemand hat hier am Freitagabend Geburtstag gefeiert und den ganzen Laden angemietet, bis auf 5 Barhocker. Das wurde nicht auf der Website ausgeschrieben, sodass wir 2h mit dem Zug hingefahren sind, nur um den ganzen Laden besetzt vorzufinden. Bitte sowas auf der Website vermerken, das ist sonst echt extrem ärgerlich!
Es ist eine Bar mit guter Auswahl an Getränken: Weine, Whisky, Coctails etc. Beim letzten Besuch habe mir ein paar Roggen-Whiskys genommen - sehr lecker.

Vom Ambiente her ein traumhaft schöner Rock Roll Club. Hab allerdings keine Veranstaltung besucht sondern nur eine Besichtigung vorgenommen. Deshalb keine Bewertung für Essen und Service.

Ich war an einem Freitag Abend da. Ich habe nicht gegessen, daher keine Bewertung dazu.
Die Bar war gut besucht. Das Publikum recht gemischt. Die Cocktails, die ich hatte waren sehr gut und wurden zügig serviert. Ich kann mich den negativen Rezensionen hier definitiv nicht anschließen: Das Personal war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam ☺️

Die Beleuchtung wirkte etwas steril. Die Einrichtung eher minimalistisch. Und es war wirklich kalt. Die Biere werden nicht auf 0,5 eingeschenkt und sind preislich aber im Mittelfeld zu verorten. Allerdings war die barkeeperin (pächterin?) Sehr nett. Deswegen gibt's nen Stern mehr

Urige Tiki-Bar mit guten Burgern. Sehr gute Musik. Die Cocktails waren lecker, hätten aber stärker sein dürfen. Sehr faire Preise - für München ungewöhnlich günstig.
Great place with super tasty tapas! The bartender Sergio is really open minded and have a great human being, who can speaks english, German and Spanish. Johnny, the young cutie host server is reliable, who can advice you the best dishes to have. English and German speaker. To sum up, if you want a place to chill with a lover, friends or after a long day of work, i would recommend you this place. Its like ehat we have in Japan, a little place but really lively and where you can have relaxed time. 5 stars for the atmosphere and the price for Munich standards. Arigato Sergio and Johnny! Stilvolle kleine Bar im 20er Jahre Stil. Wir hatten Glück am Donnerstag Abend ohne Reservierung einen Platz zu bekommen. Cocktails mit viel Liebe und Fachwissen. Barkeeper sehr nett und freundlich mit viel Liebe zum Detail. Wir kommen wieder!
As a foreigner in Munich looking for a place for good cocktails this was a hit. Bartenders were excellent and I had a chance to meet one of the head chefs. Would come here again without question.
This place is very small, even in summer we tried two weekends to finally got lucky to have a seat. Very nice , nostalgic atmosphere. The cocktails were prepared and served like in a bar in a five stars hotel. They kindly warned us that the cocktail is strong and we shall take at least a half an hour to sip it and they’re happy to correct the taste of the cocktails if it too sweet or to sour.
I’m very impressed and will surely go there again… hopefully I will be lucky enough to get a seat. 😉

This is a first for me as a tourist to leave a review of this nature, especially at one of my favorite cities in Europe. To start off, first impressions of the place was amazing. Love the nostalgia, the vintage feels, and the coziness.
Shortly after deciding what we were going to have, we placed our order. I asked the bartender if i could hold onto one menu so i may choose another drink and he refused to allow that. That is a first for me, as it is customary virtually everywhere to at least offer the customer a menu to review and make a different order or to at least allow the customer to hold onto the menu in general.
Moreso, he snatched the menu from my hand which caught both of us by surprise. Additionally, we noticed he spoke italian so i decided to speak to him in Italian to at least break the german language barrier that i am not so good in. He did not even acknowledge us even after being able to communicate with him better. In the end, the bartender ignored us for the remainder of our time there and decided to entertain other guests in a more welcoming manner. This left a distasteful impression on us. Not sure if it has to do with us being tourist but for any tourist visiting this location please be wary of this interaction.
In the end, we each had one drink and left. The drinks were good at best.

Das Essen ist sehr lecker und die Leute ist super freundlich. Man kann auf Deutsch, oder Spanisch kommunizieren. "Ceviche" in El Mirador ist einfach mein Lieblingsessen.
Zu aller erst ist zu sagen dass man die Toilette dort nur nutzen kann, wenn man hier auch etwas bestellt, diese ist aber sehr sauber.

I don't usually appreciate the atmosphere in restaurants, but this one surely has a unique feel to it due the darkness. After initial couple min when eyes adjust it's quite soothing.
With the darkness the time can pass without noticing.
The food is delicious and has great presentation. Price-wise it definitely falls into upper middle price range. A dish seemed to rough go for 20ish EUR on average.(2023, broad strokes estimate)

Had a great time here on a stag do, wanted some cocktails to cure a sore head during the day - the owner was very accommodating and good fun - she's the reason we decided to come back again that night!

However the entire experience was multiplied by zero after the rude service. The service person for my table not only ignored the order taking and even after taking the order didn’t care less to serve nicely.
I normally dont give such review’s but if I’m visiting a fine dine restaurant where I’m willing to pay more for food I also look forward to a nice service. Really not happy with how the order was taken after atleast 15 mins of wait (not to forget the table next to my table was served before me)

This place is incredible. Staff is super friendly, the food is excellent, and their cocktails are really exceptional. If you’re missing Spain or just want a night spot for a date or to connect with a friend, this is it! Also love that they serve food late. Not to be missed in Munich.
A nice experience of Peruvian food. We had Gambas al Ajillo, which was a very small dish but tasty. The Alioli con Pan had a really good Alioli. As Tapas we chose Croquetas (basic) and Papa a la Huancaina (very nice with that yellow sauce). The main dish we ordered was Jalea mixta, but we got the basic Jalea, which was the best dish of the evening. All the other customers were talking in Spanish and it was a lively atmosphere. We liked it a lot. Next time we'll try the lamb. The prices were ok. Two people, 5 different dishes, with drinks around 55 Euro in total. For Munich that's good.

Great place to have a romantic or even a family dinner. The food was so delicious and their signature dishes were out of this world.
The only negative point was that the table for 2 is a bit small and someone who loves to eat and try different dishes might not be able to order 4-5 dishes in one go. Also you can hear without any interruption what the person next to you is talking about.

The only negative point was that the table for 2 is a bit small and someone who loves to eat and try different dishes might not be able to order 4-5 dishes in one go. Also you can hear without any interruption what the person next to you is talking about.

A nice bar with delicious tapas. We tried 6 small tapas and the grilled octopus leg, pimentos and chorizos were our favorite. Cocktails, wine and even sangria were great. Nice staffs. A table reservation is mandatory. I still think food is slightly overpriced.
Very nice bar. Friendly service. The ramen are fresh and tasty (a bit pricy). The Negroni is fantastic, ask for it with Mescal!
My experience here was overall good. I ordered 3 tapas and the traditional heart dish. I shared the tapas with my date and the flavour was good, they are not that big so if you eat a lot maybe 3 entries to share would not be enough. Each entry was less than 5 euros. If you go on Tuesday (which is what I did) they’re a bit cheaper than normal. I would recommend 3 entries to share between 2 + a main dish each person to be fully satisfied.
My heart meat dish was good but not impressive. I would say it is overpriced. Keep in mind this is rather expensive place with most of the main dishes above 20 euros.
I don’t think I would come back, as I think I could have the same quality of food for much less in many other places.

Small and cosy cocktail bar with a great selection of drinks. They have all the classics and they were all well made. The bar tender completes the drinks in front if you and the curation was well made. If you’re interested in a cocktail this is a good choice. The atmosphere and the whole experience was like a speak easy.

The place atmosphere is ideal for a special occasion where you want to intimate. Such as anniversary or fancy dates. I was a bit scared about the price/quality because of the comments and yes, the price is elevated but in my experience the food was amazing and fulfilling. We had the early bird menu for 40 euros and had plenty food in different dishes (we even had to ask for the rest of the food to go). The staff was also really kind to us. Would recommend.
The Hutong Club is our place to go for a special occasion and it delivers every time. This was our fifth time and it was very good, better than the last two times.
We chose a mix of vegetarian appetizers, two variations of potstickers and a main dish to divide for the whole evening and it was fantastic. You can’t go wrong with the potstickers, but I strongly suggest to stick to the veggie dishes than the meat dishes, since they are so well prepared and spiced, so that you won’t miss the meat, believe me.
Obviously not cheap or for every day but we’ll worth the visit. We’ll be back.

It was my first time in this Peruvian restaurant, I have eaten Peruvian food in other restaurants and this one has some good dishes. My favorite was anticuchos (cow's heart pieces grilled and served with potatoes) the seasoning was excellent, super tasty and the meat was juicy and tender, it was nicely served in a decorated plate (it was really a picture perfect dish) the skewers were placed in a boiled potato and served with salad, I wish it had some spicy sauce to go with it, otherwise the taste was super yummy. I also ordered jalea mixta, which is basically deep fried pieces of fish and seafood, nothing wow, it was crunchy but I wish it was served too with something better than mayo. The other dish was papa a la Huancaina, this one I liked very much, the sauce had a nice flavor. The sangria did not have much flavor, I didn't enjoy it so much, the mango schorle was nice. In general I would go back for my favorite dish and I would like to try also different dishes from the menu

The food it’s good, the only inconvenient it’s that it feels a little bit pricey, I don’t think the price should be as high as here…but reality is that the food quality it’s good. So maybe for special occasions (?)
If you like Peruvian food, this is your place to go in Munich! Authentic Peruvian food and also some Spanish dishes on the menu. The owners are exceptionally friendly. We always have a good time! 100% recommended!
Leckere Gerichte und auch nette Bedienung. Leider war mein Wunschgericht schon aus und wir wollten eigentlich noch eine Nachspeise bestellen, nur leider kam die Bedienung nicht mehr zu uns und war auch außer Sichtweite. Das Essen war zwar lecker und preiswert, aber nichts besonderes.
Coole Location mit cooler und resoluter Gastgeberin! Da gehen wir gerne wieder hin! Sehr zu empfehlen, auch zu einem Absacker nachdem man im nahegelegenen Augustiner Biergarten vorgefeiert hat.

Die Speisen waren wirklich sehr gut. Fleisch und Fisch waren auf den Punkt gebraten und geschmacklich überaus lecker. Ich muss aber leider zwei Sterne abziehen. Wir haben fast 1 1/2 Stunden auf das Essen gewartet und für ein Bier wartet man auch gut und gerne mal 15 Minuten. Die Bedienung war anscheinend ein bisschen zerstreut. Nichtsdestotrotz war es ein Besuch wert und ich kann das Restaurant weiterempfehlen.

I took my friends from Netherlands and Uk to try Peruvian food in Munich and because of everything I talked expectations were high… I can tell you el mirador didn’t let me down and they fell in love with Peruvian cuisine (it was their first time trying it).

Kind of a speakeasy cocktail bar that it is a great place if you’d like to socialise. Cocktails are delicious that I highly recommend Bourbon Highballs. Staff was very friendly. Enjoy your time here!

A very cute and tiny Tapas Bar. I had a very nice evening with my daughter. The Tapas were very tasty. The Service was attentive, friendly and gave us the feeling of being welcome. The choice of beer, wine and Cocktails is uncenventional and very good. Not at least I liked the music very much. I cannot remember when I was listening to Blues in a bar the last time. (Don't worry they were playing two Blues titles for the evening.)

Wie super, diese Bar!! Das Ambiente fast wie zu Hause im Wohnzimmer. Ich habe mich sehr wohl gefühlt. Nette Stimmung, überwiegend tolle Musik von den 60 - 2000ern. Man kann Automatenzocken, Darten, Tanzen oder einfach nur mit Freunden quatschen und Getränke schlürfen. Die Inhaberin ist voll nett und lässt sich auch gern auf ein Gespräch mit den Gästen ein.
