Overall 9.5/10

Lowers Lounge consistently delivers one of the best cocktail experience in Hawaii, bar none.

Location: 9/10
Located in the heart of Waikiki, Hale Kulani is easily accessible with friendly valet service. It's also a short walk from the entrance.

Ambiance: 10/10
It doesn't get better than this. A quiet, elegant live Jazz bar gorgeous decor and perfect lighting. The smoky vocals are only matched in smoothness by the smoke rings cocktail.

Seating: 8.5/10
With bar, table, booth and chair seating, Lewers Lounge offers a nice, comfortable environment. Unfortunately not all seats give a view of the live jazz, but a majority do. Make sure to either show up early if you want good seats. The music starts at 830pm, but doors open at 7.

Drinks: 9/10
$24 for a premium, artisan crafted cocktail in Waikiki is a steal! In a town where bottle beer costs between $8 and $16, these drinks are an amazing value. The Smoke Rings drink is a solid entry if you enjoy an old fashioned. It wasn't the best smoke infused cocktail I've had, but it was very good. My wife's The Very Thought of You is their take on an espresso martini. She didn't like the squeeze of lemon they finish it off with, while I love it. Other than that, it was another strong effort. We've never had a bad drink here.

Food: N/A
Since they only offer light food options, we usually go to dinner after our drinks. The free mixed nuts they offer, however, are warm and slightly toasted. They are fantastic!
This place was a huge disappointment. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. The bartender was horrible! There were out of control drunks and she chose to monitor my husband’s conversation. She took back our food and drinks and kicked us out. She said no talking politics.

This was my first time here. Definitely an old-school piano bar atmosphere. However, the service was a bit slow for my tastes. The server didn't check in with us enough -on more than one occasion I had to flag someone down -the pupas were just regular for me. For the same price, there are better food options around the city. My concern is the inconsistency. There was a lovely production with the pouring and presenting the first glass of wine. However, when you order a subsequent glass, you don't see them pour it from the bottle. And I noticed right away that after the first sips that it was a different wine from the first wine I had, despite being told that it indeed came from the same bottle. That might work with people whose palate is not as sensitive as mine but I know that was a different wine. That first glass was lovely though! Typically my friend and I like to order a bottle of wine however, this didn't appear to be an option at this establishment. Only glasses were offered. And the price was $2 different on my recipe per glass than on the menu. Best things for me were the musicians and the ambience.

When I lived in Hawaii from 11-15, Manifest was my favorite spot in Hawaii. Came back in January and went to Manifest, and it was largely the same. Used to think they made the best old fashioned on the island too but they told me when I went this time that they don't make them at night anymore. Was really bummed. Still a good spot and my buddy I brought had a good time but kind of put a damper on the night for me.

Couldn’t comment on the food because we didn’t order any, but the Hennessy was the cheapest on that street. Great atmosphere and great music. Bathroom was surprisingly clean for a bar.

Swanky Intimate Jazz bar. Service is fine, if a bit stiff. The 2 piece band ( piano and horns), were excellent. The first gentleman with the guitar was also very good. Beautiful hotel. Right on the Ocean. Expensive. Very adult.
Definitely try their signature drinks! The Nero Aroma is blackberry coco mocha, which was delicious - who knew you could mix blackberry and coffee? We also tried the raspberry white coco mocha, but found the flavor was a lot more muted. So if you want something more low-key, the Aroma Amore might be a better option! The Coco Choco is coconut chocolate mocha was also delicious iced
Was a really nice place to eat for breakfast, only drawback was the Açai bowl was a bit too frozen, coffee was also a bit too dark for my partners taste. Otherwise everything was fantastic!

Go here on second Friday. I wouldn’t say the cocktails or service are standout but the vibe and atmosphere of this place feels like a muted, dark, soulful and renaissance mashup of a dive and a lounge. This musician’s voice was so unexpected and sultry that I had to follow up and do a deep dive into who he was. Instant lifelong fan, 11/10 highly recommend if for nothing but the music scene alone! Also they serve coffee during daytime business hours.
This place is great to watch all the games!!! Drinks at great prices too. Friendly staff.

Worst service I’ve encountered in my life. I was ordering a drink with my gf at the bar while sitting on bar stools and the bartender had the audacity to take my gf‘s seat away while we were ordering. Do you understand customer service? Trashy, rude, and not even worth it if you’re a wasted 20 year old. I used to love going to Bar 35 back in the day and I can confidently say I will never step foot in this bar ever again. Watch some YouTube videos on service
Nice atmosphere. They have various flavors of coffee. Raspberry one is good. Also tried the acai berry bowl. Good fresh fruits served on again freeze. Highly recommend.
Ps. One may miss the shop as it is on level 2. It is there. :)

Best Sports Bar in Central Waikiki, Great Bartender. Some people were there for Hockey, others for College Football and if you ask politely they will change channels for you. Highly recommend any of the slices of pizza or the wings. Great vibe for anyone who doesn't mind the 5-6 hour time difference from the East Coast.
Nice place hidden away in a corner. Either walk up the colorful stairs or take escalators to the hotel and restaurant is in front of reception.

waffles are really good. We tried guava and green tea flavors and, weren't disappointed at all. However, coffee was not up to the mark. Tried cappuccino with almond milk and felt that coffee was not strong; may be I should have asked for more espresso shots.

Staff was friendly and cheerful.

Wish they had a few savory options.

Highly recommended.

For Halloween they were supposed to do wristbands to get into any bar for $15 and when I went they charged me $20 to get into the bar and wouldn’t give me a wristband to get into another bar so I wasn’t able to do the bar crawl. Waste of money. Manefist is better

Vibe is chill and cool music - bar offers variety; friends mentioned the food is good. Like the people and DJ - a great place to listen to music, chill with friends. Plus, local talent from spoken word and musicians perform here first Monday of the month and a wonder pool room open nightly for those who love to play. Great talents like Poetic Voice of the Street and Fyah Empress Stone and more greats… must visit Manifest!!
I’m always down for a nightcap! We were staying at Halekulani and popped in before heading back to our room.

ATMOSPHERE:
The cozy lounge is the hotel’s lobby bar but is located in a separate building just off of the pool deck. Live jazz music is featured Tuesday through Saturday evenings. Decor is very warm with dark woods and ambient lighting. It’s a bit squishy inside as it isn’t a large space. Choose from bar and low top seating.

EXPERIENCE:
We had a short five minute wait on this particular Saturday night around 10pm as they were fairly busy.

I’ve always been drawn to jazz bars and Lewers Lounge did not disappoint. Ambiance, check. Drinks, check. Soothing, live singer, check.

The spouse and I enjoyed a glass of bubbly before calling it a night. Prices weren’t too eye popping.

The disappointment of the night? Me. I was so full and tired from our dinner prior to coming here, I was falling asleep! Ugh, still so mad about that.

Host & wait service were good.

OVERALL:
One of the few jazz lounges in the 808.

The grilled cheese was horrible. I don’t even think a drunk person would like it. The wings were pretty good. It’s typical bar food. I didn’t try the alcoholic drinks and only had a soda that was a bit flat. The multiple screens are great but they only had two screens on with the game I wanted to see. The bartender was acting as a waiter as well so a couple walked out after they waited too long for service. Seems like a spot for football loving Americans to hang out. There’s a key for the bathroom to prevent the homeless from using it. Found my team playing 5,000 miles away so it was a win for me.
clean and nice little cafe, not busy but tons of good reviews on google map. ordered acai bowl, not bad but over priced for sure. the place is cute and insta worthy, mostly tourists. staff is friendly and attentive, enjoyed my time there.

It's been a while since I visited Bar 35. Sat at the bar with friends and had a wonderful time. It has a live entertainer (a singer) tonight and he was awesome! Had the pork belly and Brussels sprouts--both were delish! Will definitely go back more often!

Way more beer selections than you see anywhere else. And quality beer (Duvel, Chimey, Founder's) and all the local beer (maui, kona, lanai, Aloha, waikiki), and organized by all the varieties (lagers, ipa, sours, stouts, anvers...). My new go-to local chinatown/downtown bar.
The food is also awesome! Great selection of flatbreads and pupus! The live music is also a huge plus! And they have private rooms for larger parties!
Had an excellent time, great service, and wonderful food. The smoking pig is a must. Great selection of whiskey.

AYCE Prime rib night was a great time to go and was absolutely worth the price!

Can’t wait to visit again, hope they get a location closer to home!
The coffee shop was hidden but very cute. You walk up colorful stairs to a very well decorated coffee shop. We got an iced vanilla latte and a regular coffee. The Iced vanilla latte was tasty, strong and not too sweet. The regular coffee was more warm then hot. They also served breakfast and açaí bowls of which we did not partake. I would go again for the vanilla latte
My friend and I went late afternoon on a Sunday for brunch. No wait to sit, but they ran out of eggs. Even with what we could order it was delicious! I’ll have to come back earlier in the day because I still want to try to omelet or Benedict! Staff was so accommodating and friendly. They apologized about running out of eggs and mentioned the shipment was coming later in the day…so I guess just bad timing. Still giving 5 stars.
Loved the decor and the ambience of this place. I also really wanted to give their acai bowl 5 stars but it was somewhere between a 3.5 and 4. It just didn't have the right texture, but the bowl overall was still good and the rest of their food was great. I would go again ✨️

Visited this place about a year ago! Clientele from 20 up to 60. Great vibes , amazing service ! I loved to sit on the patio with all the girls .
We’ve been twice and they don’t disappoint. Drinks are AMAZING, service is always good and the food is good as well. Amazing place to have brunch. Highly recommend!
My absolute favorite coffee spot in Waikiki! I found this place last year when I visited and made it point to go back this time as well. The Nutella Latte is amazing! The atmosphere is like no other coffee shop! You will not be disappointed.
Great acai bowls. French toast was excellent. Good place to grab a breakfast or light lunch. Coffee wasn't so great if you're particular about a good espresso
Best breakfast, coffee and juices I've had in all of the US. Awesome vibe and venue. Consistently good, we have been coming every morning. The coco head drink is the best drink I've had! Tastes like coconut granita from Italy! Jonathan and his staff have been amazing too!

The Manifest was our first stop Saturday night. The staff from the bouncer to bartender were great. Music was fresh. DJ good. Drinks were cold. It would have been nice if the cocktail menu was a available.
Waffles were very chewy, soft, and not tasty. Scrambled eggs were more like they were scrambled before cooking and then cooked like frying an egg. Service was not all that friendly. Not my favorite place. The view was beautiful, though.

A solid place for cocktails at night or coffee drinks in the day hours. I came here with friends looking for a last round before the night ended and Manifest delivered on point drinks in a wonderful industrial/brick environment. Just know they do card you at the door and no happy hour.
The best coffee in Waikiki!
We had breakfast here almost daily! Food nice and fresh, really tasty!
The atmosphere really cozy. Place is clean and stuff extremely friendly.
They always have enough room to eat inside.
We had a 7:30 reservation. We didn't get our table until after 8. It took what seemed forever to order our food. We were given an order of truffle fries for the wait. The food was good, a little on the price side, but I'd try it again.
Athletically appealing cafe in a prime location in waikiki. We ordered coffee and açai bowls, popular spot and fast service. The one critique would be the açai bowls were very frozen almost like they were pre bowled, frozen then topped to order, had to wait a little bit to ea. Other than that, great experience.
This is my favorite spot whenever I am in Waikiki, ai would stop by here for breakfast after watching the sunrise. The shop is right inside of Beachcomber Hotel, a really cute shop. I love the handwriting menu, the friendly staff, and the vibe here. Always feel happy when I am here.
STREET TACOS $20.00
Crispy beer battered fresh fish, slaw pickled red onions, kono's award-winning kalua pork, raw onion, crispy beer battered shrimp, slaw, pico de gallo and citrus aioli, all topped with sour cream and fresh cilantro, TRUFFLE FRIES $13.50
Truffle oil, shaved parmesan, chicharron and fresh herb mix, and Macadamia Nut Bread Pudding for the win!

The staff graciously took out the Kalua Pork from my street tacos and gave me two fish & one shrimp taco. The Kono sauces were all very tasty but not necessary, the fish & shrimp had plenty of flavor alone. Everyone run the host to the bartenders were awesome and friendly! Definitely worth a visit and I’ll be back for brunch!
For our Friday Happy Hour we went to the Surfing Pig in Kaimuki and ordered the LA and an Old Fashion that were both good. I later ordered the Waialae Walk, which was very good! We enjoyed the Truffle Fries for $10, but the Papadelle Pork Bolognese Bianco was not worth the $36. The noodles came under cooked and the sauce lacked taste.

Great place my new wife and I frequented. Did not realize it was so fancy, as I was asked to take my hat off. No problem. Gets busy on the weekends, but mid-week it's perfect. My wife and I were the only ones there on Monday and Tuesday and the piano man and horn guy accommodated our song requests. Surprised not much other people were there. I definitely put on slacks and Hawaiian shirt the next day and felt dressed for the occasion. Nice first romantic finish to the evening, as my wife and I were the only ones dancing. The act the following day was not as good.
Gorgeous place and the ambiance is relaxing. Generous serving on their summer salad. The ham and cheese croissant, bacon bagel and Turkey pesto panini taste great. The associate is friendly. Their half papaya with fruits is perfect to end the meal with this sweet and fresh fruits.
Very good food with great service. Staff are really nice. Highly recommend the iced nutella latte and eggs benedict. Plating of dishes is stunning. Its right on the bottom of the hotel lobby as well so good if you're staying there. They are also next to the pool if you want a quick dip.
The chicken and waffles i had at brunch were good! I ate every last bite of it. My friend enjoyed her street tacos. The waitress was nice and attentive. I would def come back to try more food. The parking lot nearby was pretty cheap, only $1.50 for the hr we were there.

Perception of this place really depends on personal preference. There were many great aspects of this place and others that left me disappointed.

1. The atmosphere - very cool classic cocktail piano lounge. I'd rate the atmosphere in the top 5% of piano lounges I've been to.

2. The cocktails - simple and classic. If you order an old fashioned, negroni, sazarac, etc that's exactly what you'll get. I personal enjoy more creative reimagined variations of classics so I was somewhat disappointed. The drinks were good, don't get me wrong, but not unique or special.

3. The price - $18 for a cocktail in Hawaii is a very good price. Other lounges are much more expensive so I found the price point to be a positive.

4. The music - the night I went was a gentleman playing solo piano. It was pleasant but lacked the energy of a jazz lounge. I've been to other lounges where the musician is playing solo to a backing track and it does make for a better entertainment experience.

5. The food - overpriced and not good. Just don't bother getting food here.

6. The service - friendly but slow and not attentive. It'd be difficult getting a buzz with the pace of the service.
Aloha my people; so I been wanting to try this place for some time now and finally had a chance with visiting friends from out of town. The place is a bit smaller than I thought with only seating up stairs for about 25 people , and down stairs only seating is at the bar table and more bar stool type seating across from the bar. The place is very modern and upscale. The food is quiet different in flavor and you need to have an open taste buds and mind. We did .any small plates and pupus... and it was damn good. For the most part the wait staff was great , I will say I like a wait person that knows the bar as well as the food and that didn't happen. Needs refinement training for the wait staff but they were super helpful and gracious. You can find enty of parking in the parking lots around the block.

We love the lounge for many reasons, but mostly for listening to Maggie and/or Rocky when they are performing. The haupia cake and cocktails are great, but apparently you can’t get the cake after ten. The dress code is much more relaxed except that you still can’t wear nice sandals. This seems strange in that several patrons were in jeans and sneakers, which seems far worse than wearing designer sandals with a buttoned shirt and slacks.

Manifest is conveniently located in the Arts District/Chinatown Honolulu and is the best of its kind. During the evening, it is a cocktail bar & night club, and during the day it's a cafe with delicious coffee & breakfast menu and lots of working space. I love the atmosphere of both, and recommend to try this gem out if you haven't already!
Haven't had everything on the menu as this is my first time being here (let's go raptors!). The service here is very solid, the staff are friendly, quick and very attentive. I ended up ordering nachos with my group and they were very solid, only thing I would probably compare it to is BP but Rivals is way tastier.

They also have daily deals from 12p to 7p Monday through Friday, which are very solid. Check the photo for the deals. I'm sure they have other solid meals here but once again, I haven't tried a wide variety of things so that is what's holding me from giving this place five stars.

The atmosphere is very chill and they usually require nice clothing.

First time here and very surprised how spacious it was, mind you it was around 8pm on a Friday night. They have open layout with bar seating and high tables to hang around, no seats in the front area. Walk to the back to find a private room and tucked all the way in the back is another bar in an outdoor patio setting. Seating was comfy with bamboo trees and the open night sky. BF and I had the nachos and edamame which was more than enough for two. Drinks were awesome, not sure on prices or happy hour but all in all wouldnt mind going there again. Heard the pizzas are good but after the pupus couldnt order anything more. Pictured is the Kalua Nachos

When this bar first opened, it must've had the most expansive beer selection in the state. I still think it boasts a pretty large selection of beers to try. What's more, they have a nice selection of pizzas to snack on while imbibing the various bottles of beer available.

The location of the bar is convenient for downtown office workers to grab an after work drink. But, it's a great hangout for those coming into Chinatown as well. The area has improved a bit in the last decade due to the recent gentrification that's been taking place.

13 different homemade dipping sauces for your hot seasoned fries...enough said! The Kimchee Mayo frightens me but you cannot go wrong with Fresh Garlic Aioli or Miso Mayo.
Live bands play every Thursday and there's an all day/night happy hour on Monday with decent happy hour times for the rest of the week (T-F: 4-9 pm & Sat: 6-10pm). DJs on the weekends.
Cool hip vibe inside. I mean, who doesn't luv life-sized hipster cats gracing their walls.
