Ordered a quarter chicken on the 25th of May 2024 . It was raw n blood oozing out when I cut into it then sent it back to kitchen only to be served another half cooked chicken. Very disappointed with service and quality of food

What amazing restaurant. The service is great. The food is very delicious. We ordered seafood platter and king fish ( grilled ). All sauces are perfect. I want to complement Mr. Q ; the waiter , he is cooperative.

Tried the Prawn Pani Puri (which was not on the menu, but apparently is a special request item. Sorry if this gets anyone in trouble! ). Was a really interesting take on the traditional dish. Appreciated the experimentation. Service can sometimes be abit sluggish and it can become challenging when waiters are not in sight - really difficult to flag down help. Was directed to bathrooms up a flight of stairs within the premises.

My first visit to the establishment. Ordered a full chicken meal and a prawn meal. The sauce on both dishes was lovely. Some of the rice was hard. Didn't enjoy the chicken that much. One waiter was quite friendly and the other was rude. Disappointed. Probably won't return.

Loved their food,very fresh,tasty,clean.I had a certain perception about Mozambik but going in really blew my mind, will def be returning.Presentation with the cute dishes was too cute.
Also found the welcome gift in the form of nuts so quirky and interesting,forgot to ask the waiter why nuts?☺️

This has to be one the best Ocean Basket branches that we have eaten at. Fresh food that was delicious. They were very busy but still managed to serve the food without much delay. The waiter Sizwe is excellent at his job. Thank you.

Awesome experience, fantastic service by DJ our waiter ,really was impressed by his customer care service, his friendly personality and professionalism. His willingness to go the extra mile to make me feel comfortable while having lunch by putting up a screen so I could remove my nikab and enjoy ocean basket. Very impressed will be coming back because of DJ keep it up he's a gem

i went there with high expectations and left very disappointed. We ordered the Tbone steak , pieces of the steak were rare and other pieces were well done as if it was cooked from frozen and drenched in BBQ sauce . The Ribs were hard to the bone . Only good thing was the chicken wings as starters , chips and the veggies ,besides that very unsatisfied.

Today I had a decent dining experience at Ocean Basket Gateway. The restaurant was bustling with activity on Mother's Day, resulting in a queue to enter. Despite the crowd, the lighting was adequate, and the seating arrangements comfortably accommodated my large family.

The staff members were friendly and provided satisfactory customer service. Our waitress stood out with her exceptional patience, even though there was a slight mix-up with our order due to the high volume of orders. Notably, the food took a while to be prepared and be served, approximately an hour.

The menu offered a wide variety of delicious options, and after careful consideration, my family opted for the Family Platter for 4. This platter contained a generous portion of fish, calamari, chips, and rice, and it was both flavorful and satisfying. To quench my thirst, I enjoyed the Apple and Mint Cooler, which was a refreshing choice.

This restaurant recently went HALAL. It is very convenient if you working or living around Gateway. The finishes are interesting. It is wheelchair accessible. there is indoor and outdoor seating. We somehow managed to keep the cost under R200 per person which is incredible (I didn't count the kids and included drinks). The portions were large that we took home and had another round. The flavours were simple but good. There are rest rooms. There is also a prayer facility. Place was clean. there was very Good service from very kind waiters and greeters on the way in. I feel I will be going again.

I've always heard good things about Mozambique for years... And I finally got to try it..Had a delicious after birthday lunch here forgot to review... Had one of the platters... And it was one of thee most delicious dishes I have tasted in awhile. Free peanuts were also given at the table , which I believe is salted and packaged in house. Reasonably priced for couples or even families of three.. and comes with so much food... The fish was was cooked like perfection.. and honestly my favourite part of the meal. It also came with prawns, calamari, mussels chips and rice... And fried squid heads, which where crispy and delicious (we ended up mixing it in the lemon butter sauce that came with the mussels)(you're welcome)Great spot to hit if you want delicious food and you're hungry... 10/10 would definitely be going here again

It was a weekend to visit some OB in Durban. Gateway great 👍 store, clean friendly staff. Meal was great. Manager in store was great looking after his customers 😀.

Had the half Chicken and Prawn combo. Peri Peri. Was great. Loved the flavors. The sauce. The moisture of the chicken was great. It wasn't too hot. Had some heat but managed it well. Craving hit the spot on all levels.

I enjoyed the chicken and prawns combo, which was recommended by the server, it was really tasty. The bar-one milkshake was very rich and a must have for the person with a sweet tooth. The steak my companions had wasn't too grand but understandable. Overall good service, friendly staff.

The food was exceptional and our waiter, Nelson, was vibrant and provided an outstanding service to us. He even went the extra mile and opened the kiddies area for my sister. Keep up the wonderful service!

Had the worst customer experience ever. Will never ever visit this restaurant. Unfriendly staff, manager to busy to attend to patrons. Walked in hungry and thirsty. Only to have the staff tell me that we have to order from the menu to sit down. What's happen to Customer service in Gateway. This is not what I drove 40km to come experience. The manager even explained how that last group of people that came to watch the soccer took their guns out to argue about soccer, like who wants to know about this before walking into a restaurant. I've attached a photo of our experience across the road from galaxy grill, News Cafe.we were welcome with open arms. No complaints no stress and food and drinks in minutes. That all we really wanted, was that so hard galaxy grill.

The food and service was amazing. They prices isn't too bad at all. It's really affordable. The breakfast was delicious and so was the hot chocolate. Would really go back there with the family.

Always happy staff to serve you amazing food which is why we're regulars.

I nearly gave this lovely establishment a 5 star but there was one thing that dropped it off from it's perfect rating, it's onion rings. There were cooked well... but the seasoning was bland, it tasted like nothing.

The burgers were amazing. Delicious.
The veggies on the side were tasty and cooked to perfection.

The cocktails, slightly pricy, by just a bit, were delicious. I am sad they buffed their prices up a bit, I was raving to people at how well priced they were only to come back to be like, as darn. But still better than most places.

I would definitely go back for more.

Oh my I love this Galaxy Grill, every time we go here they make delicious Spinach and Butternut, their burgers are delicious and they make great cocktails! I’ll definitely be going back there again soon and try their T-Bone steaks.
