Great food, great location, welcoming staff!!! Food was served quickly!!! I had the local steamers, a cup of seafood chowder, and a local IPA (all great). My husband had the crab cakes (great as well)!!!

I got a bowl of seafood chowder. The bowl was.. small imo. It definitely tasted fresh and well seasoned, but my “bowl” only had a few small bites of lobster and I didn’t notice much other seafood in the chowder. Far too potato heavy for me, which just isn’t what I wanted in a fresh seafood chowder. Tasted great! Just didn’t meet my hopes for $11. Great area to sit and eat.

Stopped in for a quick bite to eat. Seafood chowder is off the hook!!! Great little place right on the water. Order inside and they deliver the food to the table outside.
Would eat here again for sure!!
Everything was delicious. From the strip clams, to clam cakes. lobster roll was good, fresh, and clam chowder was delicious. Atmosphere was amazing, loved the summer coastal vibes and the view 10/10. Will be back with family and friends.
I have to say one of my worst dining experiences ever. 15 + minutes before we got someone's attention to order a drink. 30+ minutes to get our first drink. Table next to us had eaten their full meal before getting their drinks. 45 minutes to get a vodka/soda. Couldn't find a bottle of wine we ordered. When we got the bottle of wine, we had to open it because the waitress didn't know how. Finally got appetizer at about an hour. Waitress was polite but kept saying they were short staffed which was obviously true. Ordered gumbo, $36 for some rice, 1 shrimp, 1 small piece of lobster claw and one other small piece of something. Worst rip off for dinner I've ever received. I feel bad leaving this review but if you're going to charge these prices, you need to be so much better. Be ashamed of yourselves for this type of experience.

We had to wait about 30 min, lunchtime at The Boathouse. Our server, Andrew was excellent. He was very attentive and friendly. Our food was excellent, and it was a beautiful sunny day out on the deck! The coconut cheesecake was awesome!
We went there last Saturday(08/12/2023) the food wasn’t good but the service was great.(20% tipped)
I ordered cocktail Island Time($15) the cocktail was so light of alcohol. I believed the cocktail I ordered less than 2 ounces of tequila. It wasn’t good at all.
We will not go back again!
One of our favorite restaurants and a wonderful location. Luke, our waiter was superb. Very knowledgeable. He made our evening more pleasant. thank you
Have been to the restaurant several times and always had a fantastic meal and cocktails. We had reservations for 6 at 6:00. When we sat at our table we were told that they only had 2 seafood specials, 1pork loin left. The restaurant was not that busy to be out of the specials by 6:00. Also had to wait for cocktails as the bar ran out of Tito's vodka, Jack Daniels, and no milk. Was told they could not make a chocolate martini. Waitress was fantastic, bartender was somewhat rude,. Had raved about the restaurant with our 4 other friends but will probably not return.
Good place for seafood. Prices can get expensive but service is good with a good view. Show up earlier for dinner due too minimum parking lot space around 6 and 7 pm. Great beach glass spot on rocks near water.
This is a perfect bar to grab a rink and sit in the Adirondack chairs and watch the sunset. The meal itself was lacking. Service was slow. We had issues with our food and found the accompaniments for our dishes to be lacking
Let me begin by saying that the bar’s Bloody Mary is the best I’ve ever had! They make their own mix. For our meal, We sat on the patio. Ordered oysters from the raw bar. Outstanding. Ordered mussels. Best I’ve ever had. Ordered a lobster roll. Outstanding. Enjoyed a bottle of champagne. Perfect. Service was great. Valet parking.
My family went here for dinner while on vacation. I will say this is a fancier restaurant and a majority of the people there were dressed up which is great. The staff was kind and delivered food in a timely manner. However,
some of the food proportions were crazy small such as the lobster tacos, which didn’t even come with any garnish or sides. Besides from that this was a great restaurant! The view is STUNNING.
Stopped in for lunch. Parking is available but often full ...so you may need to park down the street a ways. You order inside at the counter and then they bring your food to you when it's ready. Prices are very reasonable for the Kennebunkport area. We enjoyed the senior portion Fish and Chips plate and split a Coke. Fries are delicious and fish is mild and fresh. Condiments are provided. Restrooms are available. They have a wide range of seafood to choose from and staff are pleasant.I felt like I got lucky to stumble into this local place. Dog friendly.
Fantastic dinner for 9. Apps were wonderful and included delicious fresh oysters! Sevice was excellent and can't wait to return. Green lawn and private beach as well!
So out of the happy hour drink at 4pm.. didn't offer anything else in lieu of.. and why are they mowing right in the middle of the happy hour.. They don't open till 3.. You mean they couldn't more the lawn at 230. Or even right at 3.. why I gave atmosphere a 2 other wise decent view nice chairs.. would be much nicer without a lawn mower going right behind my head.. must have been a new bartender too..

A very cool place to eat incredible seafood in a laid back setting. Outside is peaceful and calming with boats gently bobbing in the water.
I got the chowder with the intention of returning in 40 minutes for something more substantial. It was incredibly slow and rainy so they closed a little early which I totally support. I would call though to ensure they are open before heading out.
The people who work here are really nice and the food looks amazing but the only thing I actually tried was the haddock chowder. Very good
The restaraunt is a marina style eatery. We did not have reservations and 13 in our group and they didn't have seating except at the bar but we made it work. Our waitress Taylor was awesome and got our orders correct as well as bills separated easily. The crowd was mixed with uppers and casual. Beach house style attire. Food was decent for Maine.
Great inconspicuous-feeling spot in Cape Porpoise to grab some simple, quick but fresh seafood meals, snacks, and shareable plates. Yummy and filling chowder by the cup or bowl for small prices. I asked for their most popular or best recommendation, which was their fish and chips plate, where I added a chowder, all to share with my partner. It was nice and filling, not too salty and just perfectly fried for crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Came with tartar. Drinks are self-serve. Best spot eat semi-outdoors (there was a tent over the picnic tables) with a view on the cove, possibility to walk on the lobster fishing docks and see the lighthouse on Goat Island in the distance.
Great restaurant and bar on the water downtown Kennebunkport. Views, great cocktail selection and relaxed vibe. Fun on a weekend afternoon for appetizers and a social bar scene. The bartender Christian maintained impeccable services, while keeping the mood lively & fun. Valet parking, multiple bars and waterfront seating. We will be back.
We had a great meal here last Sunday. It was fairly crowded for an overcast April afternoon but we managed to get a hightop in the bar area. Our server recommended this seared shrimp and scallop dish and it was delicious. Great place, we’ll be back.
This upscale waterfront restaurant is a lovely choice for dinner or lunch.

There is valet parking which in summer would be clutch. Reservations might also be a good idea.

We came in the off season so neither were needed.

The staff are amazing and plentiful. Our host sat us quickly and our server was at our table with water within moments.

There are always oysters to be had and several great seafood options including a lobster roll, fish and chips as well as a poke bowl.

Many beers on tap and the Bloody Mary’s are lovely.

I can highly recommend the Brussels Sprouts they are spectacular.

All in all, great location, great service, lovely food. What else could you ask for? Outdoor seating you say, yep that have that. It’s seasonal so, call ahead.
Honestly, the best place to watch the sunset! It was absolutely beautiful and we could sit outside in their lounge chairs and relax. We got oysters that were also fresh and super tasty to match with the wine.
The Atmosphere was great. Eating outside in the igloos was a nice touch. A little cold but they had Clean blankets for us to keep warm. The Burger was extraordinary and the Cheesecake was amazing. Definitely recommend the Pretzel. I would recommend giving this place a try when in Kennebunkport, Maine
