Favourite restaurant in Southampton! We go here often and never leave disappointed. We love the food and the staff, they are always polite and chatty… never make us feel rushed. A great wine selection. We also took 16 of our staff here for a dinner party and they all loved it. Great aesthetic and lovely cosy vibe. The chef always comes out for a chat. Will be back soon!

Absolutely outstanding restaurant. When I saw the other reviews I expected it to be “good” but I truly had what may have been one of the best meals of my life. Fantastic service too.
Tables slightly cramped, but all part of the atmosphere I think.

Went here for Valentines, was absolutely amazing. Such a warm, friendly atmosphere. The best carbonara I’ve ever had in a restaurant. Gorgeous wine. Will definetly be back!

What a little gem this is! Even the bathroom feels like a five star hotel. Fantastic food made with quality ingredients and so tasty, staff bending over to assist and the chef even came out to check we enjoyed our meal. Thank you we will be back.highly recommend and book anytime you go to the mayflower theatre.

What a great place. We live in Winchester and have nothing as good as this, great food and our waitress Nina was amazing and we chatted to the chef George who is so passionate about his food. We will definitely come back

Amazing food, great service, and a lovely atmosphere. We visited on a very busy evening however this didn’t effect the service or quality. We had some specials from the menu as well as options from the menu and thoroughly enjoyed!

Went on Valentine’s Day, the atmosphere was very romantic and intimate, the food was incredible. 10/10 recommend the seafood linguine and tiramisu.

Food was very good and fresh. Service was very polite and friendly. Restaurant looks warm and cozy inside, but with elegant twist.I really enjoyed it.
The only thing is when You order main food decide on portion size, otherwise You'll get large.

Wow! This place is my new fave! We booked a table for a later dinner at 6.45 but arrived at 7 and we were still served with top class service from DEMIS. Our food was brilliant and the tiramisu is a MUST! Will defo come back here again the decor was also just well done!

Always an excellent choice for a celebration. The Burns night mini Gastro was first class. The service is excellent. I don’t have to ask for another glass of wine or water top up, they check without intruding. Always excellent at suggesting pairing drinks or celebratory cocktails. And suggesting decaffeinated espresso martini to end the meal was excellent idea, to go with my congratulation treats, which were absolutely delicious. My thanks to Hanele, Christina and Gustavo for making the evening, so special.

One suggestion. Some of the drinks deserve prettier glasses.

Came here as a treat with my mother. I’m a fan of Wagyu beef so was excited to try their A5 Wagyu. I have to say the steak was lovely no doubt but not the best A5 Wagyu I’ve had and the price was probably the most expensive. The ambiance of the restaurant was an eloquent, premium feel. The waiting staff were okay, had no issues as they did a standard job. The thing that drives this to a 3 star for me was the value for money, it’s very over priced. If you want a classy night out and don’t mind a very high premium price tag for low premium quality this the place for you.

Shared a Boxing Day meal with family and friends. The service was good. Gave 4 stars as it could have been a smidge quicker. The food was the real star - amazing!

Superb lunchtime meal for 2 today. Fresh, beautifully prepared food all of which was so very tasty. Plenty of choices for all courses both set menu and a la carte.
Several hours in a relaxed and picturesque waterside setting....what's not to admire! Thank you Hannah and Tanya.

I literally couldn't wait to get my phone back from repair to leave this review. The service was fantastic, we were welcomed and seated even though we were a few minutes and the kitchen was basically closing and felt so bad as we kept them in longer than they should have been there. Everything was incredible! But, I have to say my dessert was THE BEST dessert I had. It was a soufflé and I still have an after taste for it. Honestly amazing food and a fantastic venue/service. Highly recommend and will definitely be going back.

Brilliant food with great service. The location is nice with a relaxed feel. I would definitely recommend, especially if you like fish but great options if you don't too!

Fantastic. Had some amazing scallops (quite hot), the best seafood risotto and a lovely chocolate orange cheesecake. Staff were all very attentive and we even had a free showing of the flambé on the table next to us. Highly recommended.

Excellent meal. Had the one of the best ribeye steaks I've ever had here! For some reason it was better than the t-bone, filet and even the Wagyu steaks that my friends had. Highly recommend the chorizo rigatoni as well. Generally, I would say the wagyu wasn't quite worth the price but delicious nonetheless.

Had the tasting menu. 5 courses, well cooked, great flavour but some courses (soup and main) diminutive portion sizes. Some ingredients like mussels, potatoes and red mullet are cheap, so why be mean? Won't be going back - there are better places to spend your cash.

We went here for my husband’s birthday and we are both very happy with our experience. It is definitely high end prices and we were prepared for that as we’ve looked at the menu and read the reviews prior to booking. The room is cozy and elegant but not pretentious. The service was already great initially and it continued to just get better. The host/server showed us the available items off menu and went over the expectations for the meals, how some are cooked, etc. We decided to order the mixed steak selection with the additional Japanese Wagyu, a few sides, and a bottle of Malbec. It was me, my husband, and 4 year old son and the meal was definitely big enough for all for us to share, granted that my son ate pretty well that night.

When our order came out, I was disappointed that it was overcooked although we have ordered medium. I let our host and server know and they were very kind and apologetic about it. I appreciate that they advocated for us and made sure that we had a great dining experience. They took away the platter and replaced it with a better one that certainly met our expectations. Not only did they served us freshly grilled steak, but they also served us fresh sides too, which was beyond what we expected. The food quality was great, although my husband feels he should have ordered the wagyu to be medium rare rather than medium, but the rest of the steak however— everything was impeccable. The flavors were excellent and I didn’t find it too overpowering. Normally I find my jaws getting tired from chewing this amount of steak but their steak was not chewy at all. It was cooked perfectly this time around. The rocket salad with parmesan was my favorite side, I didn’t expect much as I’ve been served really bland ones across UK but this one certainly did not disappoint. We are delighted with the meal and the service that we will definitely be coming back. At the end of our meal, they brought out a lovely panacotta and sang happy birthday to my husband. Please note the photo I posted is the first platter that they took away.

Ocean Grill is definitely not somewhere you could just go to on a regular, given the price range, but if you decide to go on a special occasion, I would say it’s quite worth the price. There is something about their service that just adds a little more extra to what they already offer. Big thanks to our servers and chef that made my husband’s birthday very memorable for all 3 of us.

The Jetty has a lovely atmosphere and interior with superb views. The food was incredible, a diverse variety on the new menu and the plating was excellent. I was a big fan of the Cheeky pig and belly starter and the rhubarb sorbet on the deserts menu was fabulous!

We visited on a Saturday night and the service was very impressive, friendly and attentive staff - in particular Kristine. Definitely recommend if you're looking for a lovely meal out or if celebrating an occasion. We will definitely return! Thank you to the whole team!

The gazpacho is to die for. The best soup I've ever had in any restaurant! The paella is superb as well. Would highly recommend this place for special occasions. Thanks to the chef for accommodating our food allergies. He removed crab in the ingredients even though it's part of a set menu. Servers are friendly and attentive.

Atmosphere and food were lovely. The staff when we arrived were very informative and showed us all the different ranges of meat & fish that had been caught around the world. The food & presentation was spot on. It got a bit busy towards the end of the meal and perhaps not enough staff to accommodate all the customers, we ended up skipping dessert as it took so long. Either way quality was good and we'll be back.
