Finally! Wasabi. ACTUAL, friggin wasabi. You must request it as they do not waste it on the uninitiated.
Their menu reflects the populist palate of "Asian fusion" that rules the day as a gateway to purist epicureanism, they excel with the more traditional Japanese options.
They even offer, to the relief of the cognoscente, the elusive, and quite healthy, SPANISH mackerel!

Did I mention the actual wasabi?

The photo was last year, when I visited and took a shot. But wanted to give a review because I still remember how delish the food was! Wish I can be their photographer.

So, I am on a mission to find great and affordable brunch spots in NYC. Verde in Smith has become part of my favorite brunch spots. The menu is on point. Well put together and I love the combinations! I had eggs, pancakes, home fries and chicken. My friend had steak and egg with home fries. Food was absolutely delicious. Coffee has refill. They have some cool brunch offers that you should definitely check out such as bottomless or a pitcher check them out on their page.

If you could give more than five stars, this is the restaurant to do so. The food is finger licking delicious. I was thinking of marrying the chef. They really hooked us up! Ramzi and the team was the best and The food speaks for itself.

I stopped in randomly on my way to the city about 2 weeks ago for some shumai and shrimp rolls and I really enjoyed my experience. The restaurant is very clean and the staff are very inviting and attentive. I sat at the bar area which was pretty cool. Ordering was very easy( I asked for a small substitute on my roll of which they happily accommodated). They have a lot of menu options that range from rolls, the bento, to soups , the full out entrees. There is ample variety to satisfy most palates. I ordered a drink called the Blushing Tiger and it was really good, not too strong. My food was very fresh too, as I had the steamed shumai and the shrimp roll . Their pick up/takeout section is right at the bar so there is constant traffic in the bar area , however, there is ample seating if you want a quieter dining experience. I have ordered takeout twice since my visit and it’s been exquisite. Definitely 10/10 for sushi

Greenpoint roll and tempura veggie roll, both great vegetarian options. Prefer the sushi over the noodle dishes here. Been here several times, always good, efficient service. Only improvement suggestion is more non alcoholic beverages- only have sodas, Snapple and water.

I came here for a last minute brunch to celebrate my moms birthday. My mom is big into food so her ratings are always biased I feel lol. Needless to say she rated it 11/10. We had 3 entrees and an appetizer along with the bottomless brunch. Our waiter Hector was SO ATTENTIVE despite having so many tables. And overall the staff?!!! Amazing from waiters to buss boys and what seemed like management everyone helped, checked in, refilled our drinks etc. Definitely going to become a regular and I am beyond glad that we chose to come here. THE FOOD WAS BOMB! THE RASBERRY BELINIS ARE IT! I took more videos than pictures but the fettuccine with steak was also very delicious! My mom and I really enjoyed ourselves!
I just did an Uber order it’s extremely salty and the yuca was very very hard ,
We had the whole roast chicken meal with side of yuca request red onions which never came …

Excellent little sushi spot. Great atmosphere, portions are generous and food tastes amazing. Nice little get together spot I went with some friends. We were all pleased with our meals. Fantastic service. Would definitely go to again next time I'm in the area. Totally see this palace as a great date night or group gathering spot.
Food was really good. The price is decent. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Came here yesterday 03/24/2024 with my boyfriend for lunch and we really enjoyed our food! We didn’t partake in the brunch special but everyone around us did and we noticed that they were on point with the service for those who had bottomless. We ordered an espresso and cappuccino and it was great, but it did take a while to come. My only complaint was that there was a large party seated next to us and they were obnoxiously loud and all screaming over each other. We could not hear the music the restaurant was playing let alone hear each other sitting across from each other. I wish the workers would have told them something. I know they were enjoying themselves and that’s great but at the expense of other people who are also trying to have a good time and can’t even hear themselves think. We were dying to just eat and leave because it was too much. Such a nice place and the food was reallyyy tasty. Would come back again.

My favorite item on the menu is the burrata appetizer
Absolutely amazing & fresh every time !

I think 🤔 this may be my new sushi spot in Williamsburg…. The food was fresh, the service was great and the atmosphere was relaxing. When you in the mood for some sushi 🍣 I say give them a try you won’t regret it.
Friendly service, great food, good prices. The place gives a homely vibe.

So happy we were able to try out Wild! I have been wanting to come and when we were in Guatemala it was a sign even more so to come to the one in NY! We came here as a group of 4 for brunch. There wasn’t a wait when we got there on a Saturday afternoon. We ordered the white truffle pizza with poached eggs as an appetizer to share. The poached eggs were cooked perfectly!! I got the BLT, my fiancé got the chorizo omelette and my cousin got the Caesar arugula salad. I was happy that everyone was happy with their meals even with it being gluten free! My cousins got the “bottomless” mimosas and definitely got their moneys worth! Overall the vibes were nice and the people were nice as well! I hope to go back to try their dinner choices!!

This 100% gluten-free Italian restaurant is a hidden gem with an unbeatable happy hour and a vibe that's hard to beat. Plus, they've got indoor, bar, and outdoor seating - talk about options!

Kicked things off with some killer mocktails - I went for the Lychee Breeze and hubby tried the Palomita. Shoutout to Nicholas for mixing up some serious magic behind the bar!

For starters, we dove into the Ciotola di Cozze (mussels in fra diavolo) served with the most delicious gluten-free bread, and the Wild Salad, a fresh and flavorful winner in my book.

Next up, we dug into the Primavera Pizza (gluten and dairy-free, score!) and the Rigatoni al Ragu featuring a mouthwatering short rib ragu.

And let's talk dessert - the Cinnamon Buns were the perfect sweet treat to wrap up our meal. Gluten-free and absolutely divine!

Oh, and a hot tip from our server: the Mac and Cheese is a must-try for brunch.

Bottom line: Wild Park Slope is a gluten-free paradise where you can indulge without any tummy troubles!

Such a gem! It feels like someplace to go with family after work for a hearty meal. The Penne A La Vodka was good but could’ve used a little more flavor. The calamari (not pictured b/c I ate it so quickly) was delicious! So tender & not over fried. Service was lovely, they knew when to step in to offer something or take something away. All in all, lovely experience.

One day walked pass and said hey let me try the food here and I like it here. The staff is patient, kind and very helpful when it comes down to food suggestion. So if you want something to eat try the food in there. I would recommend it. My server Tommy was very helpful and did a amazing job. Wanted something new and he suggested the hibachi steak and shrimp.
The dining area is clean and open. The staff is welcoming and friendly if you speak Spanish, even better. The food is ready early.

Portion sizes, especially for the steak, is immensely valuable. Was definitely impressed. And the quality of the food is impeccable and delicious tasting. Would definitely be back just on those two factors alone. But service was also great. Will definitely be back.
Great food. Decent prices. Cannot say the staff really make you feel welcome. But the food is worth it.

A very wonderful and magical dining experience! A surprising and delightful taste that I never thought could be paired with food in such a way. The shrimp meat is fresh, with a slight sweetness and the fragrance of yuzu garnished well balanced. The cucumber in the octopus removes the flesh in the middle, making the taste more delicate.
My experience was the best. I always order online but i came in store tonight and I must say I’m very happy I did. Amarie is the best! Keep her ! Her customer service is A1. Also Shevaun was very helpful in helping us choose our food. You have a great team. Thank you and keep up the good work. Can’t wait to come back.
This seafood place is real good!! Everything is super tasty and well seasoned! Amarie is the best! Always offering the best service, fast and efficient!! Props to the chef Johnny! Food always delicious!

🍽️ Eggplant Involtini
🍽️ butternut squash ravioli
🍽️ truffle parmesan fries

The sauce for the ravioli was buttery and for the involtini it was flavorful mixed with spinach. This spot is 100% gluten free but I couldn’t even tell!
Amazing seafood spot. It’s my weekly go to place. The food is Tasty, well seasoned and fresh. Chef Johnny, is a force to be reckoned with. Amarie and the whole entire staff are amazing, friendly and welcoming. Good Food, Good Service and Good people, a combination no one can beat.
Amarie was so amazing (as always), and got my order placed immediately on walk in! I always know where to come for the freshest seafood and the most tasty steamed meals 😋😋😋

Wish I had come here earlier is all I have to say about this restaurant. From the wonderfully modern and upscale decor to the most professional and friendly service from the staff, and, who can forget the amazing and delicious food here? This place is a TERRIFIC option for lunch, dinner, and also a perfect venue to throw a party for any special occasion. The Chilean sea bass was terrific. Soft. Perfectly cooked and seasoned. You can taste the freshness in every bite. I know this place has been around for a while and I hope it lasts many more years. Easily on of the best restaurants in the area and one that I would recommend for anyone to try. They have lunch specials or you can order from the regular menu as well. Plenty of options for all kinds of foods including meats, salads, fish, and desserts. Everything is a must-try here!
Amarie Very pleasant polite good customer service keep her she's a good asset to your business! I came in early and she ask if I wanted to try soup and I did. It was amazing. So I ordered some. The food is amazing and seasoned well

Cute, cozy place that is a short walk from the 7th Ave train station. As someone with a gluten intolerance, it was incredibly freeing to know I could choose anything on the menu. The bruschetta and pizzas we ordered were delicious. My fiancé is not gluten free and thought the food was yummy. We’re definitely adding this to our list of places to come back to.
Very friendly place, the food is great an I love the cashier Amarie … thumbs up 👍🏽

Incredibly disappointed with my dining experience at Mizu. I opted for a lunch special to go and returned to my workplace to enjoy my meal. The excitement quickly turned into horror as, mid-bite, I noticed movement in the plate of sushi before me. To my dismay, a small grey crawling bug in my sushi!!!

Taking immediate action, I contacted Mizu to inform them of the unsettling discovery and decided to return to the restaurant. Upon arrival, I showed the bug to the lady at the front, who not only confirmed its presence but also casually touched and flicked it off her hand right there in the establishment. This level of disregard for hygiene and customer satisfaction is absolutely revolting.

Given this experience, I strongly advise against dining at Mizu. There are undoubtedly better sushi places that prioritize cleanliness and customer well-being over negligence.

Superb and excellent restaurant! Wonderful service and a tremendous menu with exciting meals. All fresh tasting and incredible offers. The owner, Francesco, really knows how to please his customers! I got takeout and ordered the salmon and avocado and the Godzilla roll. I picked the Godzilla roll over the spicy tuna but wouldn’t recommend it. It honestly didn’t taste crunchy even after 5 minutes getting back to my house. The orders come with 6 pieces each.
I loved the assorti of the wonderful dishes on the birthday of my mother yesterday - December 19th -- this is five-stars, but if the name is French, then servants must be too French people, rather than my native Russian folk, however I understand, that it's America . One woman-servant asked which khutab I wanted with cheese or meat, I responded both, and then eventually she walked away somewhere, maybe she got offended at me... I don't know what's to say, service is four stars personally for that one, the rest of them were working normally.

Four-starred for the strange name of this organization and its service, and five-starred for the excellent food.

This evening, we relished a delightful dinner at Da Francesco Italian Restaurant. The bread was served with an enticing side of broccoli spread. The sweet and sour calamari, despite its unexpected spiciness not mentioned on the menu, tantalized our taste buds with bold flavors. The standout of our meal was the Cartoccio De Branzino, expertly cooked in the oven with a vegetable wrap enclosed in paper, surpassing our expectations with its exquisite taste.

We were graciously treated to dessert, which proved to be exceptional. The waitresses stood out for their remarkable helpfulness, accommodation, and kindness throughout our dining experience. Despite the restaurant's interior leaning toward a classic Italian ambiance rather than a modern design, the exceptional food quality solidifies its status as a highly recommended dining destination.

The food is decent. However, they made a mistake about the delivery address on their end which resulted in their delivery driver verbally assaulting my partner and doorman. The driver was extremely aggressive and cursed at us because he was dispatched to the wrong address by whoever hands out orders at the restaurant. This lead to him being kicked out of my building by the front desk; food was damaged in transit to add insult to injury.
By Far best seafood place I’ve ever eaten from. Spices are always on point, customer service is excellent. Amarie, & the crew are very professional and go beyond to satisfy the customer to make sure they enjoy each and every bite of their delicious food. I highly recommend Sea-kings located on 519 Utica Ave. Trust me you will not be disappointed!!! Thankyou sea-kings!! I am going to enjoy this Shrimp and salmon combo with sides.

Great place to host an adult celebration (we were there for a 60th birthday). Food was great and the service was impeccable
Extremely slow service. Waited at least 1.5 hours between courses. 4.5 hours into the party and we were not even served the meat entrees. Great if you aim to dance but I’ve never seen such slow service anywhere else.

Be very careful with the bill here! A bill that should have came out to like $60 came out to almost $100, why? They add the "tax" individually to every meal, so if the meal says $13, it comes out to $13.65 (example) but that's not the issue, the issue is they add this "tax", but at the end of the bill they add tax to the total of the whole bill, so tax on tax. They also include the tip in the bill (party of 3, I know the automatic tip inclusion is for 6ppl plus) and then finally they charge a fee for using a card. When it's all said and done you're paying like $30-$40 extra on b.s. charges. And when you question the bill they have the nerve to be annoyed with you! Smh. This is not ok. It's very sneaky. This is how places lose business. I wouldn't recommend, unless you like giving money away.

Terrific food and engaging, friendly service. Inventive dishes with incredibly fresh ingredients. We loved everything we ate and felt the portion sizes were perfect for sampling a lot of the menu while striking the appropriate balance of feeling satisfied, not wasting food, and still enjoying each dish to its fullest.

Only caveat would be outdoor dining - if you're going to be in their covered shed, avoid rush hour.

What a great b day dinner! Was originally headed to Tribeca. What a perfect detour closer to home. While this is tapas and portions are tapas, the flavor explosion is well worth it! Just amazing. Everything was perfect and the impromptu flight of whites is certainly what makes this a fun place. One standout that had us licking our spoon was the corn, clam, lobster stew. Thank you 🙏🏻

My first time going there with my wife and let just say the place is a vibe. Excellent customer service from Amarie. Maya had assistance us and showed us the different type of seafood and sides they have in store. First you pick your seafoond (they have everything) pay, wash and bring it to the chef to cook it to your liking. I love this place and my food. The parking lot was a vibe as well just playing music and vibing. I will most definitely be back soon. 🫶🏽🫶🏽🫶🏽

Wow! I noticed some of the reviews criticizing this place, but I didn’t experience any of the flaws. The fish was tender and delicious (especially the tuna,) and the waiters were very attentive to what I asked for. I was also offered free mochi after my meal. I really liked the sushi. It’s definitely one of the best I’ve ever tasted, and I’ll definitely be back soon.
Food was fab, service was fab, wine and drinks were fab. Flavors and style had contemporary flare while still being comfortingly delicious. Sat outside and our server (from NOLA!) took the best care of us. It’s refreshing to dine somewhere that feels worth the price. Nyc is already so expensive but this place is definitely worth my hard earned cash. Can’t wait to return!

Food was amazing and fresh! Service was great, waiter smelled amazing. We ordered soo much amazing food and got a 25% discount. I highly recommend the muscle fettuccine pasta (forgot the actual name). Their steak was cooked to perfection and very tasty, they even had some horseradish. The oysters were fresh and sweet. The lobster cooked in the risotto was great. They had this potato mushroom tower thing that you shouldn’t miss out on, another highlight of the dishes! They have a great bowl of French onion soup, the cheese is very funky and adds a great flavor to the soup! DONT forget about desert!!! The Apple strudel was to kill for! Highly recommend this place.

Wow. Just wow. Came on a Sunday night (2 couples) and all were thoroughly impressed. Sat by the window at the entrance, which was very nice, though us ladies had to pull the table closer to eat comfortably. Some of us started with drinks and one was made a yummy mocktail by the bartender who was more than happy to oblige. We had a fantastic waiter who shared the specials and offered some advice when asked. We started with the Cantabrian Anchovies, whipped mackerel, and head on shrimp. All were amazing, and came with bread. The beet butter was a standout paired with the anchovies, and the shrimp were to die for (we contemplated getting another order). We shared dinner as well and got the asparagus, Octopus, and Hamachi collar. Again, all were incredible. The hamachi collar was a standout, truly unique and we all kept picking at it. We rounded out the night with flan and never felt rushed, even in the great spot we had. Will absolutely return again. Impressive meal in an adorable spot.

A more contemporary, wine-bar feel sister restaurant to La Vara next door. The food and wine menus are well curated, featuring tapas-style seafood dishes perfect for share. Highly recommend the mackerel mousse, fried olives, wild shrimp, and the fish pot pie. Note that everything is on the saltier side (for me) and the portions are small (we got 6-7 dishes for two). Overall great experience and very helpful and friendly service!

A little Italian gem tucked away in a quite neighborhood of Williamsburg. A cosy place that's authentically decorated. The service and the staff was incredible and everyone was so attentive.
The food overall was delicious with very generous portions. We ordered a bottle of Chianti red wine which we thoroughly enjoyed and can definitely recommend.
We had the Burrata for the appetizer which was absolutely superb. For entrees/main course we had one pizza Burrata Prosciutto and one Paccheri pasta which were both unbelievable and I highly recommend them.
Overall a phenomenal experience which we highly recommend. Will definitely be back!

***Beware*** 50% off Thursday requests $15 entrance fee per person.

To be fair, the waiter did mention and explained about the fee before leading us to the table.

I would have given them 5 stars. However, on the day of my visit, the steamed mussels weren't fresh. After completing about them, the waiter took out the order and didn't charge us for the mussels

On the other, the cowboy steak and seafood kebab were delicious.

I have been to Da Francesco Italian Restaurant on Graham Ave in Williamsburg Brooklyn NY several times. The reason I keep going back, is due to my favorite item on the Menu, Braised Short Ribs with Mashed Potatoes. I had read past reviews on that particular meal, and everything I read about it is 100 % True...The Braised Short Ribs is so tender, that the meat slides off the bone. You don't even need a knife to cut it...The meat is so moist and tender and so flavorful...I actually went out on this cold dreary rainy evening, specifically for the Braised Short Ribs and I was not disappointed. I decided to also order two other items, for dinner tomorrow, that I have never had there before. I ordered the Lentil Soup as it was one of the Specials today. When I got home, I took a spoonful of it, to sample it, and it was actually delicious. I am a Veteran of the US Army, and a cooking school grad.....retired from the Port Authority of NY and NJ, worked at the cafeteria in 4 different work sites. I specialized in soups, and food preps, plus working as short order cook on the grill. I know my soups and that lentil soup gets a 10 in my book. I also ordered Chicken Parm with Linguine on the side , and must say that it looks really good. Whenever in Williamsburg , Brooklyn NY, on Graham Ave you should make it a point to check them out. They are open until 10 PM on weekdays and until 11 PM on weekends....By the way the staff is super here, the servers Roberto, Jorge and Javier are so courteous, so polite, attentive to detail, and always focused on their customers and always do a professional job. I met Mr Francesco, the owner of the restaurant and must say he is a down to earth person,so humble and a gentleman.

Quaint…. It was a Sunday so I assumed it would be a relaxed environment. I read many reviews, mostly good. This was a Groupon gift. So I had my reservations….
The staff was extremely pleasant and welcoming. They were attentive and patient. The establishment was clean and organized and when we ordered our food it came out quick and hot and fresh.
Everyone has their tweeks but overall I can’t complain about much. Expect the ice water needed more ice….
They were courteous and attentive!
We had the short ribs and they were so tender and falling off the bone.
I also have to mention the bartender that made our drinks deserves a 5 star ⭐️ rating alone!
Never once have I ever not been able to finish my drink! I had the Manhattan and it was superb!
The serving portions were enough to fill us and the prices were actually not to bad, we were full and spirited even after we got home!!

Nice service, food always on point. Fresh sushi, not limp and oily. Habachi is always fun and just as great tasting. We always ask for a little extra butter and garlic. Just because we love a little extra not that it needs it. The Japanese burger was tasty, and bento box had a little different taste of teriyaki today but still enjoyable.

The food was Delicious 😋 but the Owners are Beautiful People 😍
The place smelled wonderful walking in. I ordered the Pollo Guisado. Everything was delicious. Everybody makes it there own way. I love the way it's prepared here. Flavor, tender chicken, rice and beans were right on. The plaintain, sweet.

The service was great although the food was hit or miss on some dishes. Calamari was great but the flounder was not very flavorful. The chicken was very good, the penne vodka was nothing special but still good. The tomato gnocchi was well liked. Tiramisu was also nothing special with the crème bulee being not very good!

Update: went back on another Saturday night but much earlier, we sat outside this time and had a much better experience. Food was incredible and the servers were always there when you needed them. Last time we got there are 8/8:30, this time about 5:30. Lesson learned: definitely go early.

——————————

Went on a Saturday night, there was a great dj/band. People were dancing and there was an all around fun vibe.

Food was amazing, service was not unfortunately. We had only ordered our appetizers and no one visited our table again for the time we were there. We had to walk up to the bar to pay or bill. Ended up having to go somewhere else for our main course. Maybe we’ll try to go back again when it’s less busy and servers have more time for their tables.

They don’t have a drink menu but it is also not a full bar? The server asked what I would like and I said a gin & tonic and she said maybe...

Wish we could’ve stayed for our main course!

I thought I was in a different neighborhood. It looked like a bulletproof wall separating customers and workers. I was surprised they were open after 10. I got shrimp fried rice and some sushi. It came with soup and salad. Really good fried rice, it hit the late night hungry spot.

Came through and had their lunch special - sushi and sashimi for $15 and came with soup and salad. The place had plenty of seats and was perfect for a solo lunch. Myself and four other solo diners munched away on our Japanese food.

They also have bento box and noodles but this hit summer day asked for fresh raw fish. The food was good, the service was prompt and overall it was a solid experience. Come and enjoy!

Good food but service is sub-par. The staff is not very knowledgeable, and they don’t really make cocktails. I was told that recently they were left without a bartender. You basically have to come up with your own drink and hope that they can make it. Or bring your own alcohol. Live music was also not that good- obscure songs tailored to older audience. I would probably come back here just for the food and on a day when there is no live music.

If you like trying different ethnic foods, this is the place for you to convenient. Russian- European though as that is the primary Russian language of the facility. Great place and the food is amazing. The staff is courteous and very focused on their job . A well done . Out of the 3 different dishes ,delicious. Spacious . Parked in front .

Quite an amazing place! Better brush up on your Russian though as that is the primary language of the facility. As a matter of fact the old man in the coat check room didn't speak anything but. Still a great place and the food is nothing short of amazing. The wait staff is courteous and very focused on their job at hand. A well-oiled machine. Out of the 20 different dishes I tried last night, there wasn't one that wasn't delicious. If you like trying different ethnic foods, this is the place for you.
Hands down the best Espresso Martini and Sea Bass that I have ever had! The food and drinks here were amazing, this restaurant is in my top 5 of all time and I spend more money on food than rent.

The Espresso Martini was the best I've had so far and the French Martini was something different and special, better than any other restaurant or bar. We had the Grilled Octopus which so tasty and perfectly cooked, the Oyster Shooter was awesome, The Foie Gras was different from every other restaurant but definitely a favorite, The Sea Bass was the best fish I've had and the Lamb Chops were delicious and cooked to perfection.

The restaurant is nice and the staff is super helpful, polite, fun and their suggestions were spot on. I highly recommend this restaurant, they give you a different and probably better version of your favorite dishes, a little pricey but worth it, you have to experience this for yourself.
Great food!! But the atmosphere is a bit too much for a casual dinner , went on a Sunday at 6pm and it was practically a bar inside.. a lot of men drinking . A whole bunch of girls working but they were just standing around ? And upstairs there were a few men playing pool. We were all woman so it was a bit awkward with all the men staring as if they never seen woman in there . Food took about 40 minutes to come out .and the waitress was a bit rude. Like we were a burden ? Not to mention the extremely loud music the DJ was playing! Like it was a Friday night at a lounge.
I would go back just for the food but with a man .and earlier time .maybe there wont be as many man and music too loud to talk.
