Cannot recommend Trina enough. We started working with her as a newly married couple and still use the tools she taught us years later. It really helped my husband and I feel like a team instead of opponents, in big ways like identifying patterns we needed to change, and small ways like pointing out how my husband instinctively touched my arm in comfort when I was talking. She had a really straightforward way of walking us through challenges and was available for “tune-ups” several months down the road. If we ever need marriage guidance again she’ll be our first call!

They are not working to ensure that clients are not being gaslighted I had to call for the supervisor she Said she word text so I write a complaint against them they stall when you call them out

shes refusing to take new clients dont even bother she could at least offer virtual sessions sheesh!

I really wanted to like and give this place a chance, but My first therapy session was not so good. I am in a low period of my life, and for my appointment to only consist of me talking for 12 mins , and the rest of our time focusing on payment made me feel like I was paying her for nothing. It made me feel more exhausted and not person centered. Shelly referred me to a doctor office in the building and didnt even bother to show me where it was and just made it seem very rushed. I went to 3 different floors after the appointment just because she gave me the wrong floors. I feel like she got paid to basically tell me she cant do therapy with me because she only can do it weekly. No personal coping methods, no advice no tools to work with, nothing. Now I have to go through the process of finding a new psychologist all over again.

I accepted therapy services from this business for a year. I saw a psychologist once a week and a psychiatrist once a month. In my initial visit I stated that I wanted diagnosis services and talk therapy. I was told that I would have to see the psychiatrist for diagnosis so I did. The psychiatrist told me that she diagnosed based on responsiveness to medications and brain imaging. I was not willing to take pill experiments for a diagnosis. In our conversations the psychiatrist revealed that she had some ideas on what was going on with me. She did not submit clinical notes on any of them. All in all nothing was accomplished. I ended up treating my depression and anxiety myself through natural otc substances. I requested a copy of my records from here and it was a lot of empty forms and inaccurate notes. I recommend avoiding this company for mental health services needs.

Ghetto clinic with rude front desk staff that answers the phone not a good clinic for teenage5

Caring workers and great environment!

Thanks professionalism of the staff just over the phone to inquire was just so blatantly disrespectful, I don't see how anyone could receive services here

The Doctors at The Therapy Group of DC are exceptional! If you are looking for an office of therapists who are understanding, knowledgeable, and have a wide range of expertise, I strongly recommend giving them a call. They genuinely care about their patients and work with individuals at any stage in one's life. They are warm, inviting, and really make you feel comfortable.

they are not a marriage counseling place.

Dr. Brad Brenner, the founder of Therapy Group of DC, and I have been colleagues for nearly 20 years. I’ve often consulted Dr. Brenner for career direction and advice, and his sincere, pragmatic and empathetic approach shines through both his own work, and the practice he established. Therapy Group of DC has a diverse group of therapists who work with a wide-variety of individuals, making therapy both accessible and impactful.

The therapists here truly create change for their patients and do so through a fantastic experience. It is clear the practice is concerned about their patients, but beyond that their staff and local students studying/preparing for their PhD as well. If you are ready to solve the issues in your life, give the Therapy Group a chance.

I would highly recommend the psychologists and counselor/therapists at District Psychotherapy Associates. They are highly skilled in individual therapy, couples counseling, marriage counseling, career counseling and specifically work with the gay/lesbian/LGBT community. Very competent clinicians with a high level of integrity!

Experienced PhD level therapists ensure you are matched with the right person to help you achieve your goals. I have known and worked with Dr. Keith Clemson for a number of years. I am impressed with his skill and compassion in working with all clients, and special expertise with couples and LGBT matters.

I strongly support and recommend Therapy Group of DC for individuals seeking warm and compassionate therapists with experience in relationships, depression, anxiety, plus many, many other arenas. Their therapists are adept at working with individuals from all races and social creeds, the GLBT community, and throughout one's lifespan.

If you're looking for relief from anxiety or depression or just want less conflict and more peace in your relationships--you'll find just what you're looking for at District Psychotherapy Associates.
I've known Brad Brenner, the founder of this psychotherapy group, for years as a hightly respected colleague. I've been consistently impressed with Brad's innovatoin and dedication to developing the best environment to serve the people who turn to his practice for help. He's assembled a solid group of therapists with a primary focus on helping you feel better and create more fulfilling relationships. They provide couples counseling (including premarital counseling), individual therapy, career counseling and group therapy.

I highly respect the work of the Relationship Counseling Center. As a fellow therapist, my dialogues with Sevin Phillips have been in incredibly educational and supportive.
