I mean…. It’s just a statue… would recommend reading the short story it was inspired from before going I guess…. “Description of a Struggle” by Franz Kafka

Number one thing, Kafka would have hated it since he did not want any attention, nevermind publicity. But, since you're here, stop by, take a look at the statue, take your obligatory picture, look around sheepishly, take another picture, and walk away. That is about right for 90% of tourists who come by and you may find it true for you, too. Statue is based on the content of one of Kafka's short stories but most of the tourists here never read a word of Kafka, they just heard the name somewhere and are following the crowd.

A beautiful statue right next to the River and Rudolfinum surrounded by benches to sit and enjoy the peace and quiet. Lovely place. Downside is there's nothing more about this than a statue. Would be nice to have some further info or a plaque that gives a bit more about him.

This Statue of Franz Kafka is in Dušní Street and on the shoulders sits Franz Kafka himself. The memorial is inspired by Kafka’s short story Description of a Struggle.

A great statue of a legendary man. The thought behind the statue is unique. It stands next to the Spanish Synagogue in the Jewish Quater of the city.

Prague seems to be a Kafka and Charles IV city and their marks are everywhere. this statue is near where Kafka family used to live.

In the Jewish area

The city of Prague is a bit obsessed with Franz Kafka. A great writer that never wanted to actually be one. When he died he wanted his work to be burned, but instead his friend published it. This statue of him is especially interesting because it actually moves and produces interesting light effects. It is entirely made of mirrors and it's head rotates from time to time.

Its not just a weird statue - finding out what it symbolizes will increase your enjoyment of it. But also, yeah...

Statue of Franz Kafka in Dušní Street (by Jaroslav Róna) – a two-figure sculpture consisting of two bodies – the lower massive figure is a hollow suit (jacket and trousers), and on its shoulders sits Franz Kafka himself. The memorial is inspired by Kafka’s short story Description of a Struggle.

Its absolutely worth a visit. Its right in the old town and if you take one of the walking tours in the city, its definitely one of the sights. The symbolism behind this statue is amazing and to some extent I felt it fits with Kafka's life story. So yes Don't miss it.

Great location for take a rest and lots of great viewpoint.

Nice area with great views

Just outside of the Rudolfinum is a park or riverbank, with a beautiful view of Prague Castle from the Vltava. The park is located at the foot of the Mánesův most, or Mánes Bridge. It’s actually quite nice to grab a sandwich and sit by the bench and enjoy the view of the river from here. From the riverbank, the Castle District looks imposing and project such stature. Prague Castle stands tall in the distance, literally stretching across my shot.
Not as famous nor crowded as Charles Bridge, the Mánes Bridge is a bridge over the Vltava in Prague, north of Charles Bridge. If you take the tram, this will be on of the bridge it crosses over and it offers the view of Charles Bridge from up the river. The bridge is named after Josef Mánes, the celebrated Czech painter who painted the face of the Astronomical Clock in Old Town.
