I toured this community in March for my grandma and found it to be beautiful, vibrant, and active. Leslie led an excellent tour of the comfortable amenities, peaceful courtyard, and clean apartment homes. It is apparent that the staff care deeply for their residents and the residents are inclusive and community-driven. It feels like a close-knit community of friends. I have recommended Merrill Gardens at the University to friends and will continue to do so.

My parents moved up from Oregon into Merrill about a year and a half ago. From the moment we met Leslie, who is amazing, to meeting and getting to know all of the staff; Michael, Naomi, Bianca and so many more, we feel like family! Merrill Gardens at The University is a vibrant community. It is bright, offers so many activities (yoga, movies, wine tasting, book studies, themed parties, etc), it is clean and updated and the courtyard feels like a lovely resort. My parents are truly cared for and known in this community. We are beyond grateful for the incredible staff and community. Thanks for welcoming us all into a new home!

Merrill Gardens at the University is a wonderful place in all of its dimensions - the public spaces are light, open and airy; the apartments are thoughtfully laid out and well maintained; the residents are engaging; and its sun-filled courtyard is a place of respite in nature. The best part, however, is the staff who are, from managers to maintenance folks, thoughtful, caring and thoroughly professional - exemplified by Naomi whose welcoming smile hides a remarkable understanding of everything that goes on in the place. Thank you for all that you do for our parents!

Our family member loves living at Merrill Gardens University. He has been there for nearly three years. He easily made friends and enjoys all of the activities. He looks forward to meals with friends and we join him frequently, We have also gotten to know his friends and even my grandson loves to join us.
The staff is extremely caring, responsible and professional. We highly recommend this home to your family.

Merrill Gardens is wonderful because of the staff and residents! The staff go out of their way to love and care for my parents in numerous ways. Naomi, for example, always knows where my parents are and anticipates their needs ahead of time, including their favorite coffee drinks! She is like family. Charlyn enjoys weekly chats with my parents. The list goes on. The facility is well maintained, updated and cheery. Many activities are offered for the residents and the staff listens to the requests of the residents (thank you Bianca). The wait staff is very attentive and kind to all residents.

The entire Merrill Gardens (University) team went to great lengths to get my parents moved in under challenging circumstances and a tight timeline. Things have gone well since moving in, which gives me peace of mind knowing they are happy and being taken care of. And being so close to the University Village is a nice bonus.

Great building but management sucks. Especially the RN supervisor Sennan. She’s phony and cruel to the staff. The DON favors a few and is intimidating to the rest. She gave me attitude and looked for a reason to belittle me. I am fortunate to move on with a safer environment. 🤢

I got scheduled for an interview. I drove there . Next thing , I was told that the position I applied for was no longer available. I guess , no one thought about checking or canceling the interview. That’s rude

Merrill Gardens at Ballard is the best. Thee food is delicious and all the people are super friendly. My studio apt is cheery and pleasant. Couldn't recommend it more.

The warmth and professionalism from the incredible staff at MG have made what could have been a stressful transition into a delightful experience. They have made my mother-in-law feel welcomed and cared for. The efforts made in creating a wonderful atmosphere with delicious food, enjoyable activities and a friendly vibe have truly made her transition not just comfortable, but fun as well. She is thrilled to be at Merrill Gardens!

My sister and I helped our dad move to Merrill Gardens at the University a few months ago and it has been a very positive experience. From our first interactions with Leslie, who helped show us apartments and answered our many questions, to Naomi and the rest of the staff we have had a very warm reception and positive environment for our dad. Thank you!

The Merrill Gardens system has been so good to our family. My Mom had an interim stay at Merrill Gardens, Burien. It was terrific, and really helped calm her (and us all!) about how to settle in to life in the independent-living and assisted-living realm.
Mom moved back home for a bit, and then it became clear to us that the best place for her was back in the Merrill Gardens community. As a half-century Ballardite, Merrill Gardens Ballard was the place for Mom. With Mom now being in an assisted-living phase, the team has just been terrific. Welcoming, caring, safe and fun!
Across the board, the Merrill Gardens system (and now MG-Ballard in particular!), has been a critical part of our plan going forward. The team is terrific, and this is the place to be. Cannot say enough good things about it, and we're grateful for this community.

It is all about community at The Hearthstone and not just the Green Lake neighborhood community. While we love living in such a vibrant neighborhood, it is the true sense of community with other residents and staff members that makes The Hearthstone so special.

My folks loved this place. Memory care staff care about their residents. Facility is clean. Rest of staff are personable and attentive. Nurses are professional.

Over 40 minutes for valet. Good foundations but isn't hiring enough support staff.

Just stopped by this location to drop off an order and front desk staff were very rude. White girl with glasses was incredibly unprofessional. I would think twice before putting my loved one in here.

Our decision to move to Cove West at the Hearthstone took several years. We were specifically looking for a non-profit CCRC in order to meet any future healthcare needs. The Hearthstone’s well-established reputation stood out as did the Green Lake location, which in our opinion is unmatched in the Seattle area. All of the community's amenities and the newly-built (at the time) Cove West sealed the deal. Last but not least, we have found true community with our neighbors.

We love calling the Hearthstone our home, as does our dog Dosey, who is SO happy living just one block from Green Lake park. Exercise classes and the well-equipped gym keep us physically active. Music trivia and local excursions are fun. The staff supports our daily living with maintenance, cleaning, rides, trips, humor and kindness. We feel lucky to live here.

I’m a resident at Bridge Park. My note to staff yesterday.
Re. Thanksgiving Dinner 2023
🥇🏆🎊 to all your hard work for the most delicious holiday dinner, which was best served with friendly smile and super efficiency.
To Go Supper was also prepared with thoughtful touch, thank you😋.
Definitely the best and happy holiday dinner to remember in my eight years at Bridge Park 😊!

Queen Anne Manor is an absolutely gorgeous community that is ran by people who genuinely care about taking care of senior in this chapter of their lives. Shawn is a wealth of knowledge and is great to work with. You and your family are in good hands when you are a resident at the Queen Anne Manor. I work in the senior living industry this community is one of the great ones.

While I believe my uncle received adequate care at this facility, when he passed away I was not notified. I found out by a fluke when our second cousin was going to visit him and was informed he had passed 9 days earlier. I left multiple voicemails with the Nursing Manager and have yet to be called back. I don’t understand how this could have happened. I’m floored.

Very, very happy here!

Very pleasant living space. Parking is adequate but could use a few L2 rechargers. Main issue is the food, but consider living here if you microwave your own.

My parents moved into Merrill Gardens at Ballard eight months ago but after just five months my mother passed unexpectedly. They both really enjoyed it as a couple, and I am so glad my father was able to be in a place with so much support after my mother's passing. The staff was and are still so incredibly supportive, caring, and the members in the community always invite him to an empty space at their table. My father is very active, my mother was a home body, they both found many activities to keep them engaged, not to mention the amazing people at Merrill Gardens they have met, the careers, the stories, and sharing everyone's life experiences. My dad has made many new friends at Merrill Gardens, and he will be able to share his almost 90th birthday with them this October.

This place is not worth what they charge to live there. Their food most the time is awful. People complain but nobody listens or does anything about. Do not have 'chef' prepared food as advertised. During the renovation the people living & paying so much to live there were neglected, everything was blamed on the renovation. Always have been short staffed. Hopefully they don't raise rent to pay for renovation, owners should be discounting a few months rent for all since they didn't have any amenities, get things they pay for.
Don't get me started on this lack of urgency on the last COVID cases they have going on,ugh
Would not recommend this place to anyone.

I couldn't say enough good things about Merrill Gardens in Ballard. My mom has been living in the community for about a month. She had been living on her own for decades, but cognitive issues made that situation challenging. I was worried her independent personality would make it difficult for her to feel at home in an assisted living community, but I think it's safe to say she's thriving. She knew it felt right the moment she walked in. This is a good place with good people -- both the staff and the residents. I'm grateful my mom is in their care and company.

Our parents have been living at Merrill Gardens for four years now and we are so grateful! I would highly recommend a visit and tour of the facility when in need of assisted living. The location and facility itself is incredible but what makes Merrill Gardens so special is the staff who take such great care of the residents. Lisa is a tremendous leader and her team truly cares about the residents and their well being. I cannot say enough about how lucky we are to have found Merrill Gardens for our parents and they just love it.

Great new remodel. Everything inside is clean and modern looking. No more red carpet. Even the furniture is being replaced.

Extremely friendly and welcoming staff. A friend of my family lives here and he is super happy. The place is clean, they have a wide range of amenities and facilities, and the views are stunning. I also tried their lunch and it was of good quality. They also have regular events and social activities.

Too much staff turnover which results in poor assisted living care. Facility cleanliness is inconsistent. No managers on duty on the weekends & services & appearance are evidence of this. Quality of food is marginal

We have had several clients go to Mirabella for rehab. The staff did a great job. I would highly recommend them. I own an in home care company called Senior Helpers and have not seen this level of attention at other places. nice work!

This can be a wonderful place for many of the residents. Tons of activities, and a sense of community. I would however avoid letting valets touch your vehicle if possible.

Love working here the people are so nice the place is gorgeous the view is amazing

A cautionary note based on my mother's experience. She was living at the Hearthstone and developed dementia. Eventually she became combative and had to be hospitalized. The Hearthstone declined to take her back, at any level of care, even after her combativeness was controlled by medication. I had to move her to a different care facility, where she died a month later.
One further tip: if you buy into a CCRC, make sure you understand what happens to your buy-in fee in the event the facility declines to care for you. It came as a shock to me, and added stress to an already stressful time.
By posting this I mean no disrespect to the many dedicated caregivers and congenial residents at the Hearthstone. This was a management decision. Unfortunately, my mom’s choice of the Hearthstone did not turn out well for her.

My mother lives at Bridge Park. Here is her review.
The Bridge Park facility is clean, safe and well maintained. The staff is friendly to the residents and the ability for residents to create relationships with other residents is a plus. However, Bridge Park is frequently understaffed and this will impact the services you receive, such as housekeeping. It has been about 8 weeks since my last housekeeping service.
There are significant issues with the dining experience. They are often short staffed and meal delivery to the tables can be very slow. At times it can take 90 minutes to finish lunch or dinner. Most importantly, the quality of the food varies significantly. The food is regularly unappetizing and very often served cold or room temperature at best. This applies to the main meal, the soup and even the coffee. In addition, frequently the meal is not healthy. For example, dinner could consist of a corn dog and chips. The food can be extremely salty to the point of not being able to be eaten. At times the meals can be good, however, this cannot be counted on. Lastly, they will often run out of a particular meal option that is being advertised on the menu.
If you decide to make Bridge Park your home, I would advise you to be ready to supplement the onsite dining with meals of your own and be willing to clean your own apartment.

I was lucky to find Merrill Gardens at Ballard while searching for a place for my Mother. My Dad had just passed and she had to move all the way from Georgia. Needless to say she was very scared. Everyone at Merrill Gardens made her feel so welcome! They arranged it so that she never had to worry about eating alone, that she would get out of her apartment to join in some of the wonderful events they have planned, and that all her needs were met. The facility is immaculate, the apartments comfortable, and the administrative staff couldn't be more professional, warm, and friendly. All of the staff is incredible and from all over the world making it fun to meet each and everyone of them. My Mother wouldn't be as happy any place else.

Assisted living at Brookdale has been WONDERFUL for my sister in law who had formerly been isolated and depressed. Living among people who care for her like family and socialization with other residents has made all the difference in returning her joy in life.

Henry and I have toured the property and came by on Thursday (5/26/2022) to have lunch. I wanted to let you know how much we love working with Marlene. She is always able to answer our questions and has a friendly+confident attitude that continues to put my uncle at ease. At our lunch, Mamadu took such great care of us. He is truly an excellent representative of Queen Anne Manor. He was knowledgeable about the menu, and was attentive but not "hovering". He made our experience enjoyable and, again, put my uncle at ease in regards to how life at Queen Anne Manor might be. You have a spectacular team!! Thank you, thank YOU!

Since working here at Queen Anne Manor I have absolutely loved it. The management and staff have been so welcoming and kind when introducing me to my new work place. Everyone is genuinely happy to be here, to serve, connect and spend time. This is the place to be or work. It’s amazing here!

Merrill Gardens in Ballard did a super job in welcoming my mom into their community. Particular attention was placed in implementing technology access to her room. Staff helped determine problems and solution to getting her home phone number ready to use, acquiring access to an internet connection, and gaining access to Pac-12 television via Fubo. In addition staff helped program her hand-held tv remote to acquire both cable tv and a Fubo app. It was a technology myriad that my mom would never have been even able to begin interacting with. Kudos, MG staff.

My friends just moved in and it seems very nice and the staff seem to be considerate and kind not just professional. I love their ground floor unit with the patio and common area outside.

As a former employee I don’t recommend this place for living or working. Families are better off taking their loved ones to emerald city (our other community) or just keeping them as they are. This is especially true for memory care because the staff there never pay attention to residents and just watch tv, play games on their phone, or sleep. Kristine knows this too she just thinks she can’t find better employees. They are so careless up there that one time a resident managed to find his way out a door left open by an caregiver, this could have been so bad but thankfully an employee driving in saw the resident outside. Things are so bad up there in memory care that the front desk usually calls us when families are on the way up so we can have to make it look like we’re actually engaging and taking care of their relative. I saw a review praising us by the sister of a developmentally delayed resident.but little does she know that her sister is actually one of the least tolerated residents. All staff for except for a select few are actually extremely rude to her and see her as a problem resident. They often ignore her calls, roll their eyes at her, ignore her, make fun of her behind her back and then act very caring And thoughtful when families come to visit. The main culprits of this are Kristine, Deontae and latisha they may seem very caring and thoughtful but if a resident gets on their bad side they won’t have an issue making it perpetually known. At Queen Anne Manor most resident are seen as money bags rather than actual people (main reason why memory care is private pay).
Also I highly doubt it but -Integral Senior Living corporate management if you see this and actually want to look In to this rather than sweeping it under the rug you can contact me via email and I’ll be more than happy to let you in on what really goes on at your community before y’all have to close.

Unfortunately we chose Bridge Park as the home for our mother in June of 2021. We were met by cheerful optimistic salespeople who made promises about rent control and amenities, like food service delivered to apartments during the pandemic. Here's what has happened at Bridge Park sine June 2021:
1. Food delivery eliminated within a month of residency. Additional charges applied if food service required
2. Complete turn over of staff
3. Despite paying a $2500 move in fee they have raised the rent by $158 after only 5 months of being a resident
4. The food is the equivalent of frozen pizza night treat and 1950s bologna sandwich and chips for lunch
5. They are short staffed and are unable to make basic repairs
6. We now pay $3153 per month for a small apartment with limited support and amenities.
This corporation does not care about your parent. This is a for profit business that operates on high margins. Although this is an industry fraught with exploitation, you can do better than Bridge Park.

They have been doing a phenomenal job during COVID-19. Has stayed open all days except for one day (not for COVID, but for air condition problem). Impressed how they managed to have so many risks under control and delivered much needed service through the challenging times.

Queen Anne Manor has exceeded our family's expectations for assisted living. The facility is beautiful, the programs for seniors are enriching and meaningful and the care is second to none! Queen Anne Manor is an extended family. Everyone working there is amazing – a truly dedicated support staff. Our family couldn't be happier to have a loved one cared for at Queen Anne Manor.

My great grandmother, grandmother and great aunt all spent many years here. Lovely place. The residents and very nice as well as the staff.

Review of Cogir Queen Anne
Assisted Living Community
Greetings! I almost never write reviews but I had to for Queen Anne Cogir. I can't say enough good things about this place. My Mom was in the assisted living building and I was constantly amazed at the level of care she received. Everyone was extra helpful and went out of their way to make sure she felt special. The "care team" members including house keeping established friendships with her and treated her as if she were their own mother. I can't remember all their names but I do remember Natasha and her sister (who was Natasha's supervisor) and Amena.
Marnie Walker the Sales Manager was the one who helped us make the decision to choose Cogir Queen Anne and we never had cause to regret it.
I'm not sure how the management has been able to assemble such a caring and positive staff. Everyone we dealt with (and I mean literally everyone from the front desk to the kitchen workers) was upbeat, happy and seemed to genuinely like their job. I compliment Ken Klotz Executive Director for cultivating such an inviting climate.
Maria Crespo the Business Office Manager was always ready with a cheerful and caring attitude to help with not just financial issues but with anything else needed.
Ernie Vigil the Health and Wellness Director manages always to make time for an informal chat and was a real blessing in answering any questions we might have and taking a personal interest in Mom's well being.
Mom loved the food and the warm, cheerful atmosphere in the lobby. You can see why I give Cogir Queen Anne five stars and "two thumbs up"

My experience at Mirabella has been wonderful. I have been in this facility now for four months recovering from a bad fracture of my leg. Both in the skilled nursing and on to the assistant care. Everyone from administration to all of the nurses and staff are exceptional. Their professionalism and care is the best. The facility is beautiful and the food is very good, healthy and good choices. They are also very safe with this pandemic we are in, a main reason I chose this facility. I would recommend Mirabella to anyone who is looking for a place for recovery and or a beautiful place for retirement.

My wife and I were there for over a year. This review will include some of my observations of how Cogir operates a retirement facility.
1. My unit had not been cleaned but did have the carpet removed and replaced with flooring. The cabinets had not been cleaned and personal items had been left from the previous renters.
2. The thermostat never worked properly. I complained about it an even provided a better thermostat. We went through several replacements. Other residents had the same complaints.
3. There was a foul smell coming up from the kitchen sink. One of the maintenance staff did clear the drains, but the smell came back.
4. When we moved in to Cogir, we asked our tour guide about the stability of staff. She said Cogir had just purchased the property and some changes in staff were expected. Made sense to me and we accepted the explanation. The the musical chair game began. The tour guide is gone. There have been five (Ithink) new executive directors. Two didn't even make it to be introduced to the residents. Then there was a person who was sent out by the head office. She promised everything. She said she would change the food to be more appealing and would be visible in the dining room often. I never saw her once! They are on their second or third head nurse. Same with the activity director. The assistant director in charge of finance quit overnight. She was followed by two more.
5. The high point at Cogir is the dining room staff. They are mostly young ladies. They are wonderful but understaffed.

Very wonderful place

I work in another nursing community in Seattle and we have had some of our residents go to Bayview for skilled nursing/rehab. Their team is so thorough and work very hard to ensure they maintain continuity of care. Our residents come back to us better than they left with nothing but positive things to say about their stay at Bayview. Thank you to the team there!

I worked there briefly. Wasn't the right job for me but I had the opportunity to see the in's and out's of life there. I constantly heard the residents compliment the staff. Seriously! The residents seemed to be really happy with most everything. Staff knew everyone by name and there was constant happy conversations going on. The only complaint I heard was about the food. Other than that it felt like one big family there. Residents definitely felt home ownership there even though they are apartments. Markita the assistant GM was very likable and professional, really all the staff was likable and good at their jobs. Very caring staff. Also super careful and responsible as far as covid safety. Decor is dated. I would definitely recommend.

I wouldn’t recommend this place at all. Sadly the nurses aren’t professional at all. I just found out they are both a couple which is not good because they get to cover each other for the mistakes they both make. When i called couple weeks ago to ask questions about my mother the nurse gave me such a bad attitude and quick responses. The next day i called since my questions weren’t answered and she raised her voice at me with quick responses agin. After one week went by i decided to call agin to see how my mother was doing, this time it was the other nurse, i talked to him about the situation that happen with the other nurse and he tried covering for her and apologized for her because of course they are a married couple which i didn’t know until one of my good friends told me about it because she has her parents there too. Another thing that bothers me a lot is the staff in evening shift they seem not to do they’re job well enough they need more training or need new employees. My other concern is I DO NOT like the DNS Patty, I talked to her once to let her know about the nurses and she was also covering both and told me that i call them a lot when they are pretty busy through out the day. I’m to the point where I’m going to have to move my mom out.

I was able to move my young developmentally disabled sister into Queen Anne Manor in March, moments before the “shelter in place” was ordered. I feel extremely fortunate and thankful that she is there. There have been NO cases of the virus at this facility. My sister is very social and independent . The amazing staff have helped her adjust to being quarantined. She is being well cared for and kept safe. I am grateful for the kind staff and their patience. I look forward to being able to visit Queen Anne Manor again and to have the virus behind us.

Sadly, the management here continues to go downhill and the care the residents receive is following. With staff changing as fast as the weather, it's hard to keep up with who can make the changes needed to care for the vulnerable residents that rely on them. And pay their wages! It's been years since an activity director actually effectively kept the residents doing the activities. The bar just keeps getting lowered, and is sadly still not met. There's lots of staff, every time I've been there, they just behave like Home Depot employees and are either standing around, or actively avoiding assisting residents. It's a pretty pathetic place.

Lovely community and the views from top floor public gathering areas (inside and out) are to die for. I love that there is a preschool on site too; lucky kids to have so many grandparents and lucky residents to have little kids to interact with. Great meals, just a very nice place.

My father lived here for 1 1/2 years, and regularly told me how lucky he felt to be living in this community. The staff and management are caring, warm, and knowledgeable and many of them have worked here for decades. We ❤️ Norse Home!

Literally never work here. This place treats their staff awfully and has taken over a month to send my final chec . HR is made up of a bunch of people who have no idea what they're doing and has refused to get back to me even though I have called just about every day for the money that I have worked for. They are unorganized and should not be considered a reputable business.

Brookdale West Seattle's new management is terrific. They proactively respond to residents with kindness and respect. The dining room is airy and beautiful and the rooftop deck is a big plus. The nursing staff is responsive to emergencies and everyday issues and don't nickel and dime residents for bandaids. We looked at all the assisted living facilities in West Seattle and this was the best for my mom. It's an easy location for commuters dropping by to see their parents after work. Neighborhood walking can be a challenge but they have plenty of excursions.

First, My mother is a resident at QA retirement. I am not. My career (45+ years) was in the hospitality industry. I am posting this review without the knowledge or consent of my mother. The ownership changed at the first of 2019. The new owners (COGIR Brossard, QC Canada) promised the residents "nothing will change". Unfortunately this has turned out to be false. A number of "cost saving" ideas have been implemented. Before COGIR management arrived there was a stable long serving staff and management. No more. The most important person at the facility; the senior administrator has left. Hours are being reduced for some remaining staff. A wholesale turnover is in process. The kitchen and serving staff are working shorthanded. It's common knowledge in the hospitality industry this order of events will send many of the best employees looking elsewhere. Only emergency intervention by senior management (perhaps Mathieu Duguay ?) will stop this chain of events.
Unknown to the new owners (I suspect) a senior care facility in Seattle closed in the fall of 2014. A good number of these displaced seniors eventually moved to this (QA) facility. My mother was one. This group has made many new friends here. This shared move has turned out to be emotionally binding. My mother is talking about moving..... along with many of her friends. Nobody WANTS to move. If the situation continues to deteriorate... this group of successful seniors will feel unwanted. Until this facility stabilizes any new residents will be moving into a distracted mess. Buyer beware. (As of 10-28-2019 no real change). My mother died in July 2021. No fault of the operator. However even at my mothers advanced age she was considering a move.

The management at this place sucks so bad!!

Wonderful place for my aunt. Very caring staff, nursing staff is excellent. Anyone would love this place.

Lovely retirement community

Had my elderly mother here for medical rehab after a hospital stay, for nearly a month. Nursing staff didn’t seem to care, and was unresponsive when not absent entirely. Terrible. However OT and PT were great. A new nursing manager seemed promising but not sure how it’s gone since then (Feb 2018). I’d never send her there again.

As a home care provider and having partnered with a lot of Assisted Living facilities in the Puget Sound area, I have to say Carissa is a very hands-on management executive. She definitely has her finger on the pulse and expects her residents to be taken care of. I'm really impressed by the fact that she is willing to roll up her sleeves and wear many hats to get things done. Managing an Assisted Living facility is a tough job since it's a 24-hour role but the positive attitude that Carissa carries herself every day and the fact that she is very accessible if you have any questions/concerns is truly commendable.
If I were a resident's family evaluating which facility to move my loved ones to, I definitely would like to know how the facility is being run. Having worked with Carissa, I do know that she expects her staff to perform their job well because she cares about the well-being of her residents. As a home care partner, we are honored to work with Carissa and her team at Queen Anne Manor.

The amenities are lovely the people are very nice here. Make no mistake if you are looking for strictly independent living, this is a first class FIVE STAR Facility. However, Do not choose this facility for your last residence (as the majority may) without a thorough look and tour of the second floor. For short-term rehabilitation purposes it seems to be above board. However, if you’re at the end of your twilight years from a terminal illness or other, you could be disappointed by the care you would expect. Waiting days to see a doctor with multiple reschedules, not delivering medication on time, if at all. Seems under staffed or just lazy? The “nurses” on many instances run like the staff at Home Depot if you have a question or concern. Just our experience with two loved ones. An opinion, nothing more. You will also need to get used to dealing with a very large Somali, most are nice some are very unhelpful, but that is expected to some extent of all people that may be fulfilling such job functions? You must judge as I will not. Many were kinder than the patients other could not have cared less. Take a tour of the second floor is my point in leaving.

My Mom loves living at Merrill Gardens. She's never lived in an apartment but adapted quickly. She enjoys interacting with other residents, eating when she wants, having a daily ice cream, exercise classes, activities, and her room. I've found the management and staff to be professional, responsive and caring. Any questions, concerns or problems we've had have been promptly and courteously addressed. Michael and Marivic have been joy to work with since MG opened in 2016.

A very nice place to work and live

They provide free valet parking for guests of residents but there is a decent amount of paid street parking M-S from 8-8 and free on Sunday and Holidays. Be aware the Town car is for residents only and destinations located within a mile of the facility. The dinners I have eaten there with my parents were very good and offered a variety.

I was in the rehab unit. Took 3 hours to get a key to unlock the top drawer of my bedside stand. I had a purse I needed to secure. It took 30 min to an hour to get my call light answered. If i asked about something I was told I will check and they never returned. One night my call light was left on a chair across the room from my bed. My bed had many lumps and bumps. I complained for 4 days. I was told all the mattreesses were the same. All the while my back was hurting more and more. Finally after a general meeting with staff I got a bed in 15 minutes. No activities are provided. The meals were good. Socializing with others patients at meal time was great. This is rated as the best in Seattle. I would hate to see the worst rehab unit.

Phenomenal place to bring family to live. Very nice decor. Very friendly and helpful staff. I love the fire place they have in main lobby; its amazing!!! The rehab part in the basement could use a little more work being done to it. But overall great job here.

I have taken a few people here and so far the experience has been nice. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and is very clean. Location is not horrible, but I personally Love any place that is near the water. I feel they do a good job when it comes to older folks, taking care of them, and making sure they're comfortable. The food smells pretty good there, and there always seems to be some type of activity to do. From what I can tell, it is a very nice place and I would definitely recommend for a rehab.

Excellent independent living options, great music, political, and cultural programs. Caring staff. Good restaurant. Vibrant residents. Overall well managed. Supported living and clinic available.

I worked at the Hearthstone in 1968,1969, waiting on tables. I loved the people who lived there, the people I worked with & Bill Cody, my boss. At that time the people who were there owned their own apt. & they came to the dinning room for their meals. All of the people were nice & caring. I can see by the picture it's grown a lot so I really don't know anything about it in these days. Yeah for the good ole' days!

I recently visited Hearthstone and had a most wonderful experience. The staff is outstanding, the activities for the elders were perfectly suited for them and the location is incredible, right across the street from Green Lake. I just don't think you could have a better environment for your elder to stay.

I've just returned home from five days at the Hearthstone Health Care Center for recuperation of knee replacement surgery. What a wonder! The kind and caring staff offered all I could want during those first few days out of the hospital. The food was great. My Physical Therapist most helpful.
This stay at the Health Care Center was a great experience! I want others to know.

My father has a condo here. Nice staff. Every helper of any kind is helpful. The dining room is great. Also, a bar with full size tables to have dinner and watch games on TV. People who live here seem to be pleased with the Mirabella. Valet parking, larger rooms for special get togethers serving food. Lounges for bridge, puzzles, socializing., beautiful pool, fully equipped workout room, social events, classes. Assisted living floor is great. Takes care of People who are injured, Sick, recovering from strokes, heart attacks, etc. I'm very happy he is here. Also there is a memory care wing.

The Hearthstone is right in the heart of Green Lake, next to the park, with shopping, restaurants, coffee shops and outdoor activities within a short walk. What a perfect place to retire! Plus, it is a Life Plan Community which means that as you age, you will have assisted living and skilled nursing services available. This community has been in Seattle for 50 years, and remains strong in both mission and finances. I have worked for several retirement communities as a consultant and know personally many happy residents that live at the Hearthstone where the staff is engaged and caring. The Hearthstone should be at the top of your retirement options list when you start to visit places..

While I am old enough to stay in a retirement community, I choose to have my own home. Having just sold my home and not having purchased a new home, I was in a dilemma about finding an interim residence that was safe and in an area where I eventually wanted to reside. Kathy spent a lot of time helping me decide if the Norse Home was the place for me and helping me complete all the details of my living arrangement. I will be moving in about a week and feel certain that I will be happy there until I find my home.

My father lives at the Norse home and he regularly tells me, "you couldn't have brought me to a more beautiful place." He also asks me, "how can I ever repay you?" I told him, "dad, as long as you are happy, that is payment enough." The atmosphere is friendly, the staff always go above and beyond to meet the residents needs. We are so grateful to have the opportunity to experience a warm environment with caring staff. Although the building is large it amazing how cozy feeling it is on each floor. The Norse Home is well run from the Administrator on down to the helpful, friendly staff!

My Mom and Dad lived at Queen Anne Manor in their memory care community Anna's Garden. The community is very nice but has a comfortable homey feel to it that fit my parents. The nursing staff was very caring to both my parents and to my husband and I. The management there was always responsive to us and they took the time to pay attention to our requests when we had concerns. I would recommend QAM to other people considering an assisted living community as we had a great experience there.
