All I'm hearing is how great it is a place to volunteer or work, I want to know the quality of services provided to the needy?! We don't want to eat trash or be given out of date food or food that no one else would ever eat! Can I get some info or reviews from people you all supposedly "help"?
Helped me out years ago when my son was a baby and I only had temporary work & no child support yet. These contributions of food kept us alive thru the hard times. God bless Second Harvest Food Bank. 🙏
P.S. In later years I became a contributor to help others in their hard times 🙌
Went with my daughter's girl scout troop. She had an amazing time packing boxes.
I wish we had them in every city! Don’t forget to use their bins at the entrances of Kroger stores to donate food.
I recently contacted the health department in regards to the Samaritan House 1041 28th Ave N, Nashville, TN 37208 about rats. The Health Department came out inspected and sprayed. I will like to say thank you to them for this. This organization, Samaritan House feeds the homeless in the community. For I'm grateful for their services I find that they are not open daily. It will be nice to have some friendly faces and giving hearts to serve the homeless at the Samaritan House. Thanks! :)
We recently started volunteering at a food bank and offered to come down and go shopping. Everyone was great from the moment we walked in. Kerry was extremely helpful walking us through the process since it was our first time shopping. Thank you to all who work and volunteer here, you impact so many people.
Get more than you give. If you're looking for a way to remove stress from your life and find happiness, it's not found in an app or a therapist, it's found here. Three hours of service gives you a feeling of community and contributions. I know you go here think you're giving and helping others, but you're really helping yourself.

The place is so clean, the staff is well trained and time flies. I worked 3 hours with a large group of 40 plus people and we barely packed 1600 meals for children to take home on a weekend so they had something to eat. If you need motivation, there you have it. I'm not trying to figure out why we have starving people in our great country, I'm just trying to help someone not go hungry.

I'm working into my schedule time to help and give back through this service.
