Lovely staff. They all do their best.

I just went in to donate a bag of food. It wasn't much, but I figured something is better than nothing. I do it 2-3 times a year. I do not have much but it I like knowing that I can help others, who do not have anything.

They gave me this chip from the football here today and it smelled really bad with expired cheese. My little boy opened it and ate it and now he's a little sick. Why do you give out expired products when we need them? Unfortunately, the Canada I imagined is not like this.

The hours on Google maps for this location is for the warehouse and office operations of the Daily bread organization; Not for the foodbank for the public to collect food.
The foodbank at this same address is named New Toronto St. Foodbank and the hours of service to collect food are in the picture attached:

Trying to register for this place is an absolute nightmare. After waiting a month for registration because they told me they were closed in June, July came and I had 1 missed phonecall from them with no voicemail. I called and emailed to inquire and got no response.
Finally on the 3rd or 4th email trying to find out about my registration, they responded with 'We booked you an appointment and you missed it sorry'. This is a shameful and quite frankly, idiotic way to behave. Some people can't resist abusing their power, no matter how little it may be.

You would think since you people are only open ONCE a week you would take walk ins. Pathetic excuse for a food bank. Waste of bus fare and my time.🙄

Its literally so fake. We as an international student we thought we’ll be able to decrease our expenses and will be helpful but there everything was expired and they were saying its best before the use? Like whatt? And its only for onetime and we only get food when we give 5 star review to them! They are just using to us to get 5 star reviews. I dont recommend any international student to go there. If i could i will not even give them one star.

Thank you so much to this fabulous organization. I was in a bad situation and they helped me quickly and brought fresh fruits and vegetables and many useful products to get me through the rough few days. I appreciate it to no end. Thank you 🙌

It was a wonderful experience at Sai Dham Food Bank! They verified my Student ID and helped me with the food hamper in less than a minutes. They even accommodated me visiting over a weekend since my college schedule was not really great. ThankYou. Do visit them.

I visited Sai Dham food bank for the first time, and i can tell that i am completely satisfied with the hamper they provided me with. Also the staff members were very helpful and guided me to take items accordingly. It was a quick service as I didn't have to wait for a longer time which is also good. Would recommend it to other international students to pay a visit and help with basic grocery needs. Thank you Sai Dham Food bank

I came across this place online and decided to drop off some stuff for people. Went this morning, there’s a tiny warehouse door that’s open and is crowded by young boys hovering the door and their car parked right on the door with no representative or anyone to talk to. I took a bucket and kept the stuff in, out of almost ten people there, no one asked what’s your name or any accountability to give any receipt or anything. I called them to ask, but the lady who answered is saying why didn’t you ask for someone to take your name. I’m trying to understand the process and they’re not even willing to assist. They grabbed the stuff. This makes me feel even if it’s legit since now I’ve no written proof or anything from them. Also, legit organizations themselves provide the receipts of donation. Not going again there. Maybe they’re doing good work, however the system doesn’t make it seem like it. Rather go to Salvation Army

Saidham Foodbank is really appreciated for this move. They are giving all the international students with food hamper which is very helpful for us in this expensive place to live.

Sai sham is Really appreciable. They are helping international students as much as they can. No one can sleep hungry if you are linked with them. Thanks to the team.

A great charity that helps a LOT of people. Your support is used responsibly to help people without discrimination. They are very respectful of individuals who need help for any reason. Theres a great waiting area with activities to keep kids busy.

This is a review based on the improper treatment at the 682 WARDEN AVENUE FOOD BANK.
I arrived at the food bank at 11:30 am (one and a half hours before the food bank opens). Upon my arrival there were bags, garbage bins and bricks lined up with no people in attendance. I was told last year that the daily bread food bank had put a stop to people coming hours or days before to leave their personals there but to not be present. I proceeded to stand in front of the door with my bag because I was there as a person waiting for the bank to open. A very rude white woman decided to come at me spewing profanity in my ears telling me that I was cutting the line because I did not go behind bricks, empty bags, food tins and even garbage bins that were lined up., I stated to her that it is both unfair and unrealistic and also not daily breads food bank policy that you stand behind empty things just because people left their stuff there. It is unfair that someone can come hours before the bank opens and stand in line just to be pushed to the back by someone who had a brick laying at the door in line to come to the food bank at 1pm when it opens. At that moment she went inside and came back out with men one of whom took my bag from me and threw it across the pathway. I went to a Mr. Garth someone who works for the food bank and told him what happened and he had no concern or care. I then proceeded to call Daily Bread and left two voicemails to a Mr. Daniel in fear that the situation would become worse. I stated to Mr. Garth that I would call the police if my life begins to be threatened and he smirked and stated that no one has been jumped here before. I responded saying to him that nothing has been done before until something happens for the first time. Right after his words a man came in front of my face told me I would be a problem and kicked me. Daily Bread Food Bank witnessed this and did nothing. I pleaded to them that I felt unsafe and asked if I could simply just get some vegetables and leave because I was being threatened by saying I would call the police because there were drug abusers and dealers around. Mr Garth closed the door in front of my face and I realized then that I was on my own. I had no choice and in that moment as more people came toward me I left with nothing because I became in fear for my safety. I will not be going back to Daily Bread Food Bank because there is no care for the people , only for ones self.
I was once a volunteer at a daily bread food bank and to know that as a recipient now this is what it has come to...
I am disheartened.

Must visit for community work and volunteering !

This is a great place! Very helpful to the community.

Went with a friend to visit. I liked it.

Helpful and generous. Staff. Clients, not so much.

Good people running the place , the people getting the food though some are rowdy, and some are okay.

Great staff! Love them!
