Dog poo and discarded plastic dog poo bags littered the walk. Not recommended.
A nice, flat, quiet area of forest with an easy two mile walk around. We went to do the geocache trail, which is excellent. Lots of dog walkers with well behaved dogs but also a LOT of dog poo around (both on the ground and bagged up and hung in trees). The site is bin free and could really use some dog waste bins to deal with the problem.
Love this area for walking. There is a yellow arrow sign posted trail which is 2.5 miles long, but you can easily add on extra loops to increase the distance. Lots of tracks to explore and wildlife to enjoy, like wild foxgloves, the sound of birds, and the smell of pinecones. Didn't see many people here and it was nice to be alone to enjoy nature in peace. I have seen the odd dog or two on a lead.
As others have mentioned, the 100m or so dirt road to the free car park is awful. There are so many potholes (and big ones at that!) which mean you have to drive incredibly slowly and carefully. However, the car park is spacious and the walks are rewarding.

Too much dog poo left by lazy dog walkers. Here with a toddler but won't be returning as it's not a safe area for children.
Lovely place to walk, we took the dog for a long walk and he very much enjoyed the place. Lots to sniff and felt very safe to let him run free off lead.

Awesome trail through the woodlands with lots of open areas for catching the sun. The forest is green all year round, and the trails are well maintained as they are used. The walk is around 4 kilometres with no hills or roads to cross. The start and finish of the trail is at the main car park which is free and easy to access. The walk is less crowded than most of the Thetford Forestry Commission walks.
Good place for a walk… a bit close to A11
Great walk, facts along the way and nice trees…people friendly as they walk by too. Highly recommended

Fantasy trail to walk, there is more then one to get yourself out on with all different time frames.
Beautiful scenery I can’t wait to get back out there with the dogs. I absolutely loved it. It was very peaceful and unbelievably beautiful. I highly recommend the walkers and dog walkers and anyone who enjoys seeing nature.
I wish I lived close to something like this, as it is a wonderful place for a bit of fresh air and a break from reality .
Beautiful place. Visited in October so it was quite autumnal. Clear paths, easy to walks. Very quiet and peaceful on a week day

Very nice walk of 2.5mi, long enough for adults, just about right for those with kids. The only issue for us was the amount of dog poo left by careless owners at the entrance. Keep an eye on your kids or bring wellies and bags to keep them in on the way home!

Located just outside of Mildenhall, this scenic walk has a small carpark and easy paths to follow on a circular walk that takes in some history and great views.
Parking is free.
Paths are quite firm underfoot however can be muddy/boggy in places.

A pleasant flat forest walk just over an hour's drive from East London. The paths are suitable for buggies. The walk is signposted and if you want to shorten it you can cut through in various places, although this would be off path. There was a mixture of trees in this managed forest and some interesting wildlife. We saw a number of deer so you might need to look out for ticks. The area is popular with dog walkers not all of whom clean up but it's exaggerated that you have to watch every step you take. It's not a place for those who like a sit down on a bench. Relatively quiet considering how busy the nearby roads are. Pleasant and nice get away from the city.
I love the walk around here. Not sure I would visit in the evening though. Suspect characters seem to visit and deposit all sorts of rubbish and waste. Near to recycle centre and people are lazy.
Great little walk mostly on paths with forest on both sides.
Spotted one bench along the 2 mile (3.15km) circular walk.
Free car park for about 8 cars.
About 1/2 mile down the track (counter clockwise) is the restored Warren Lodge.

There had been a rabbit warren at the site since the 1300s, one of over twenty in medieval Breckland where rabbits were farmed in designated areas for their meat and their fur. This warren lodge is one of only two surviving medieval warren lodge buildings in Breckland, the other being Thetford Warren Lodge.

I did not see one rabbit or hare, so I'm guessing they've been eliminated.

If I have one criticism it is the state of the route markers. Several have succumbed to rotting and fallen over and now hidden by vegetation. I'm not sure a hunter green band on an untreated pole is the best choice. Take care and keep to the paths most travelled.
