Doesn't pay their service providers. Filed bankruptcy and failed to adequately maintain the underwater components of their vessels. Shady operation, board at your own risk.
The Pensacola Bay City Ferry offers a wonderful opportunity to cruise the bay in comfort for an extremely affordable price on a stable and spacious ship. We've done these cruises a number of times now and I highly recommend them to any and all (be you a tourist or a local like us). The crew is friendly and professional. There is a bar on the main deck with drinks and snacks (although you can bring your own picnic aboard (no outside alcohol consumed on board though). The sunset cruise is beautiful and the blue angels cruises are the perfect way to watch the practices and the shows from Pensacola Bay. Special mention about Captain Frank Rawley in command of the Turtle Runner on our last cruise - probably one of the nicest and most professional men out there !
Highly recommended! It was an amazing time, the views were incredible and the staff was amazing. Everything was well cleaned including the bathroom. Beverages and snacks are reasonably priced, the music was good and price was reasonable. $61 for two adult tickets.
Took the family out on the 4th of July to watch the fireworks x $35 per ticket isn’t bad considering we had “front row” seats. The ferry was nice and then bathrooms were clean. Only “gripe” was that the music wasn’t tied into the fireworks. It’s a minor gripe, but the music adds a lot to the show. So the price is a bit high, and the music. Aside from that, not bad. Oh, and it’s first come first serve in the seating.
This is a nice way to have a mini cruise in Pensalcola. The boats are nice. Despite high winds and waves the staff gave us a good cruise. It was nice to see shorelines, birds in water and Blue Angel planes flying over us. It was cold so also enjoyed getting coffee from them. It sure was a nice way to spend 2 hours on the water.
My husband I had such a great time! We took are bikes and road at Fort Pickens for a while and then got back on the ferry and went to Pensacola Beach and rode our bikes there as well. A great day can’t wait to do it again this year.
We have taken the ferry out a few times this past year, each time it was a pleasure to sit, ride, see the sights and experience the Pensacola Bay and the wonders of the Pensacola Bay Area. 5e ferry is a great way to easily go from Palafox pier downtown Pensacola to Fort Pickens and over to Pensacola Beach, especially in the summer and. It have to worry about driving and finding parking. The Blues Cruise is a great way to see the Blues at practice.
What a cool experience! Being from Pensacola, it’s super cool to have that big city ferry vibe. Except the coolest part is seeing parts of Pensacola from these perspectives. You have the option of riding from downtown to the Pensacola beach boardwalk, then to Fort Pickens or back to each. It was about $20 I believe, but super cool. I say make a day of it and travel light, but to enjoy a day on the beach and then a sunset at Fort Pickens. You can easily park at the end of Palafox to get on downtown. Totally a must do. They even have a bar on the ferry’s!
