One of the famous ghat in Kolkata. This ghat connect kolkata with Howrah through Ferry.

The view of sunset from this ghat is so magnificent. One can enjoy here the ' Ganga Arati ' at evening.

A cup of tea along with the river breeze gives you a soothing feeling. Street foods are available here.

Such a bliss to have this ride from Howrah to babughat and plus to have enjoyed the “dim toast” (egg on a bun). Although it was a hot day but enjoyed every bit of it

A very nice place in Kolkata. But it's a little darty. West Bengal govt should make some clean campaigns. Here you can get all the busses from different states. A lunch facility is also available to cross the hogli river.

I would say one of the famous ghat in Kolkata and it is deserve to be.
If you have to catch the Bus from Babughat and you are looking for some affordable yet delicious food option then definitely check out Railway Canteen and will not get disappointed.
It's Ganga ghat, famously known to all Kolkatans. There are pandits here for last rites, there is a small over bridge for pedestrians to see the beauty of river Ganga and take mesmerizing pictures of Ganga and ghat. Little dirty due to all rituals stuffs at the shore... Overall good place for sometime.
Further, Babughat is always bustling with passengers, who use it cross the river to reach Howrah Station just across the river and also other areas of Howrah, ferries for which are available at frequent intervals, which take off from the jetty connected to ghat. The water ferry is run and maintained by Inland Waterways Corporation.Ferry services are available from Babughat to Howrah, Chandpal Ghat, Telkal Ghat and Bally.
Well, it was quite a good experience for me as travel a lot by passing through this ghat all the pilgrims and daily workers all reach this end and sets off for their destinations. It is well maintained place, with park and sight viewing area. And at the evening time, this place is filled with pure thoughts and minds. And sunset views are just amazing too. Great place to roam around.
It is a beautiful place to visit with lovely music and light and good place to click pictures

Decent jetty, but can be improved. A cleanliness drive has to be arranged for the Ghats. Also, Hooghly river is very dirty. A separate cleanliness drive for the river is also required.
Jetty services in kolkata is one of the main attraction of the city. It starts from millenium park on saturday's and sunday's and any holiday. One ticket cost around ₹170. And trust me, it is completely worth it. One can feel so peaceful and calm during the trip. The jetty goes towards howrah bridge and then they turn the jetty again towards vidyasagar setu. The trip is almost of 2 hours. And some unknown rockstars play some great retro songs making the journey more soothing. Chai, kurkure, lays are all available in this jetty. One should really go during the evening time. It has two timings on saturday and sundays. From 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm and 7:30 pm to 9:30 pm. I really loved the journey.
We booked seat with Ganges view for 4 pax. In the evening. Stayed therefor around an hour, had the complimentary mocktail and some starters. Food quality is good, the staff members are courteous, ambience is great with ganges view. The manager Mr. Niladri sanyal needs splecial mention. There was a chance encounter with The owner of Boat Mr. Khan as I took my eightynine year old mother, he invited us on her birthday. That was really a great gesture.
