Very convenient parking lot with plenty of space, two levels. Convenient exit to any street, easy access to library, children museum, cafes through a pass between buildings. I wish they add electric car charging stations. Observe signs for permit parking, timed parking and Don't back in to stalls! The parking lot monitored frequently by police which make it safe!
Very clean and safe parking deck. 4 hours of free parking that is enough to eat and walk around the area.
As others have said, there are permit spaces mixed in with free spaces. Its also very dark in the garage. New to the area, I did not notice the small permit sign, posted above eye level in the dark, and its was $20 fine for me. They swooped in and placed the citation within 10 minutes based on the time stamp so they certainly are more concerned about the money than they are about lighting and indicating clearly.
This parking deck is in a great location. Convenient to James Madison University, The Madison Hotel and many other locations. Parking was quick and easy and the parking deck was well lit. If staying at The Madison Hotel , your room key will give you entry and exit to the parking deck.
My go to parking at jmu.
There are reserved parking areas but not clear on the pillers and received a ticket. Where does this money go ?

I have parked in this deck on a daily basis for a very long time and it really needs some work. The pavement is uneven and full of holes and is dangerous to walk in. The lighting is terrible and thus, I trip on all the holes and uneven pavement. When it rains the water runs underneath like waterfalls and it's impossible to avoid getting wet.
There's usually always spaces available, and you can't beat some free downtown parking! Pretty central to everything you'd need downtown.
Convenient for being a tourist in old town Harrisonburg
it's a pretty nice parking deck it doesn't have meters anymore so that is really nice but you do need to pay attention to how long you park because they still have a meter maid. we found an awesome car there it's pretty much just like Julian's car from trailer Park boys but souped up a bit better without the hockey stick spoiler from J Rock. 😎
Great Parking Deck used for Parking to go to the Soc. Services, Comcast if needed, Roman Catholic Church and Police Station and Court House. It is located on N. Mason St. Its has 2 stories but I only park on the 1st Level.
Its a SAFE parking deck!! During the Day - parking on the top & lower levels. At Night ~ I would only Park if a Single Driver on the Bottom level which is Well lit up & if a Group on Top of Deck is Fine. You can park your car 24 hours a Day on the bottom .. its located downtown Harrisonburg Va. Between the Streets of Water St. & Liberty St.
