Great location to park and walk around. Not over priced.

One of the best spots in central California. Overlooking Cowell's Beach, the Dream Inn hotel, the wharf and the Boardwalk.

Gorgeous place to park and watch the sunrise over the water and the mountains and the pier. you can hear the sea lions from the pier across the water. Parking is free. People are great about keeping their dogs on a leash. No shade available, if that’s important to you. It can definitely be busy being so close to all the hotels, so if you want fewer people or traffic park at the other end of Cliff Drive. But early mornings are usually pretty peaceful. Bathrooms are just under half a mile walk away in either direction along the waterfront path. They’re not always the cleanest bathrooms, but they’re passable, especially if you have your own soap and toilet paper.
