One of the original bookstores in Davao City, Velasco has stood the test of time. Though no longer famous as it once was, it is still open to this day to cater to loyal patrons and nearby establishments.

Strategically located beside Davao City Hall, Velasco is highly accessible to students near Magallanes, Bolton and Bonifacio, and to business offices along C.M. Recto (Claveria), Rizal, Bolton, San Pedro, and Inigo Streets.

Velasco Bookstore offers multitudes of office and school supplies at a very competitive price. They carry most brands of office and school supplies and equipments. Though they only accept cash, bulk orders can be a problem for customers who plan to pay though debit, credit or in installment or purchase order.

The store is open from Monday to Saturday, from 9am to 6pm, and on Sunday afternoon, from 1pm to 6pm.

The staff are very accommodating and friendly.

I remember when I was in elementary, my parents would take us here to buy school supplies and they have everything we need for school. I miss this place. ( good memories)

I bought a new scientific calculator here and it's really freakin expensive!!!! Prices were like mall price. I bought a calculator just this year on a different store in uyanguren only for 850 while velasco gives an outrageous price of 1350. Almost 2x the price!!!
WHAT I'M MAD ABOUT IS THEY DON'T HAVE THE WARRANTY FROM THE ORIGINAL MANUFACTURER OF THE UNIT. MAKES ME THINK THAT IT'S FAKE.

It's just a small bookstore yet everything you need in school are available. The good thing ,you can buy school supplies in bulk or in retail price.. Kudos to the owner, they really consider the abot kaya ng mga studyante ;)

I come here to buy watercolor paper because it's always available. They have affordable art, school and office supplies here that at times you can't get anywhere else. The place looks old and they have a dated cashier system, but shopping here is always satisfying.

OMG. I found an old book here that our old math professor required! It's nice that even though new books are not so numerous here, it's amazing that academic old books are sold here.
