GRIT does an amazing job with birthday parties. The coaches are so playful with the kids, it’s such a fun party. We went with a Nerf battle followed by dodgeball. All the kids loved the party.

We have hosted our daughter's birthday party at GRIT for the past two years, and each time has been a wonderful experience. The planning piece is completely seamless - you just pick a date, and they do the rest! The coaches keep the kids occupied throughout the entire party, help with set up and clean up, and keep the party going. My daughter and her friends have had so much fun at GRIT, and the parents enjoy it too because we can just kick back and relax during the party!

This was a perfect Birthday Spot for our son’s Ted 9th Birthday. Grit has a set system!
They have a list of multiple games( we chose nerf gun battle and floor is lava) each game can be about 30 minutes. And after, if there is time left, they can have a free play.
Table, water, juice, balloons were setup by staff. There was two people who assisted us and took complete care of the process and games.
All we did was order pizza delivery and cake.
And after all kids went to the local park across the street.
Kids had a blast!

My 7 and 10 year old boys have been loving Grit since it opened almost 4 years ago. They’ve done summer camp at the primary location and Hamilton Park, classes, birthday parties, and parent-night-outs. If Grit offers it, we’ve done it. And I cannot recommend it enough! They do a fantastic job of keeping the kids active at all of their events. I like that their parkour classes/camp are a lot of fun for the kids but also teach real life skills for agility and safety while fostering independence. Do you know the safest way to jump over a bench or get down from a wall? Well my kids know now, thanks to Grit!
Peyton, the owner, is super flexible and easy to work with which is crucial for us as working parents. He is also innovative and committed to the Jersey City community. He has greatly expanded the sport resources in JC and is constantly working to bring us more. I will happily support that and you should to!!!

We’re huge fans of GRIT! We started off going to parkour classes for my 4 year old and we got hooked! They offer a great variety of classes (my son is currently doing basketball!) and the timing always coordinates well with school. We love their holiday camps for when school is out and recently the kids asked to attend one of their “Kids Nights Out” and they had a blast and came home asking me when the next one was. My son had one of his birthday parties there too (they were so accommodating and my son enjoyed every second.) We also have done their adventure summer camp three years in a row! We’ve felt part of the GRIT family and can’t wait to see what other programming and updates to the facility they do! Five stars for GRIT and we’re thankful to have them in Jersey City. ❤️

GRIT Sports Training is the best facility of its kind in the area! The staff and owners are fantastic and go out of their way to provide a top-notch, supportive and fun environment to promote fitness and confidence in our kids. This is more important now than ever with all the challenges young people are facing. Highly recommend!!!

Grit is hands-down the most parent/guardian-friendly camp in town. Best part is the kids love it too. Kids come home from camp exhausted and happy. Counselors are supportive and fun. Peyton and mgmt. are responsive and reasonable. 10/10 would recommend

We had our son’s birthday party here and it was a memorable one! Very easy to arrange and communicate via email and everything worked out just as we were told it would. No delays, no alterations. Just perfect. My son could choose 3 activities for his party and there were 2 coaches guiding them with those activities. Toward the end, food, singing and cake cutting was scheduled which was also guided by the coaches. I can only recommend it to everyone with kids.

AZ, an old school skater, is a really great skatepark to skate, learn new trick, and meet chill skaters, and it does not get packed

Dope park great street section theres little bit of everything. The bowls also sick. Great for beginners and all levels. Flat bars are round and they have a small 4 stair rails and flat rails that go the other way from the stairs. You don’t need to push much good flow.

Amazing spot smooth ground nice bowl too

Great new harriet tumban mural there

Safe and fun place for kids! They have a lot of recreational sports led by coaches so it has a terrific atmosphere.

The coolest place to kick back and just catch a vibe with very decent people. Skate, bike, rollerblade, smoke, & watch the sunset and chill. Probably the best thing about Berry Lane Park.

Lights so night is all I have to say.
My only cons is that the obstacles are too low in height. As a rollerblader I tend to like things a little higher. You can see everything clear as day during the nighttime. It does get a little bit crowded because all the obstacles are close to each other and if there's a lot of people you might bump into people. Catch the park in the empty day it's just perfect.

The people there are chill. I just wish there wasn't roller skating and scooter children that just linger by the ramps and are in the middle of the park. Other than that, the park is dope. Parking is ample. They have a bowl but I'm not going to approach it even at gunpoint.
