Flavors and spices on point. Great service and amazing staff. As travelers of the world, my family and I loved the experience of sharing one amazing plate together. A reservation should be wise. We got lucky and they seat us but they had a full house when we left.
We had the most pleasurable experience here. We absolutely loved the food, it had just enough spice and all the flavors you could imagine. We will definitely be returning to eat and have the Amazing Mango Ice Cream for dessert! We highly recommend coming here if you like new things and spice! Thanks for having us!
The food was really solid and worth a try if you haven't had Eritrean food yet.

The atmosphere was cozy and I felt like in a living room.

The service was above and beyond. Michaele, who served me, made sure to clear my view to the tv without me asking because she noticed that I was watching it.

Definitely worth a visit to anyone that likes to try new foods new frankfurt main station.

This was a nice treat to find! The food was tasty. Although the injera wasn't as fresh as I've had other places, it was still delicious and an excellent meal to fill our bellies.
The music was pleasant and the service was wonderful.
An amazing dining experience! Staff are super friendly and made us feel at home. We shared a vegetarian platter and enjoyed every bite. The flavor was delicious and a treat to all the senses, colorful presentation, food that is well balanced in spice and texture and warm aromas. Most highly recommended!
We tried the 'Tsom Wett and Key Tips' and found it to be really not good. I can even say it was disgusting. I didn't expect this from them. It doesn't represent ethiopian food. Shame!
The lady staff was very proud of Ethiopian culture. As it was my first visit, she took her time to explain their culinary culture, their language and some history on Ethiopia. We ordered the queen platter and the food was good.
What a cool experience… I would say the most impressive part is their beers, it tastes wonderful.
Food was too spicy for me, it would be better if they asked about the spices, but on the other hand I understand that they want to serve the original version of food.
we spend around 10 20min until our table gets ready although we had reservations. The atmosphere was nice and there was local music play there. staffs were great.
It was a bit pricey but worth it to experience 👍🏻

in einzigartiges Erlebnis!

******English Version******
a unique experience! Without a reservation, we were incredibly lucky and the friendly waitress showed us a great seat.

The food was not only authentic, it was a real experience, completely without cutlery and then this super tasty soul food...

The whole thing was rounded off with a few very creative and delicious drinks.

It's not an everyday restaurant but definitely something for very special occasions! Reservations are highly recommended, then you might even get one of the unusual seats on the loft bed!

Not sure what happened to this place - if the chef left then or if they prepare to close it permanently.
We ordered for dishes and in each of them the meat was smelly (as if it is spoiled). The waiter was arguing that it is because of spices (which we didn’t believe as we have tried many different Ethiopian restaurants). We didn’t eat the food, we paid it anyway and the waiter (who was probably the owner and the cook at the same time) was not bothered at all by this situation.
Regardless of the quality of the meat, what they serve was nothing alike Ethiopian food (except for the bread). It looked like few pieces of meat thrown in a pan with some onions and peppers without being marinated or having any spices added.

Very tasty African food, friendly staffs and good vibes. The portion for group share is decent and you can have both vegetarian and all different meat options. If you love something specific, you can also order for yourself, but usually meat options have only salad as decoration. The place is always busy, even with reservation we have to wait for 20mins.

Finally tried African Queen and the wait was literally worth it. We made a reservation for four but weren't seated until about 30 minutes after. They were very busy and we didn't want to leave. The host and servers were all very friendly and accommodating. Now to the food. We had several beers, the Mango was great. The server recommended us their house specialty platter/sampler. It was soooooo good. We ate the entire dish. The meats and veggies were seasoned very well. I loved the spiciness. Overall, I am glad we waited and I can't wait to go again! Cash and card accepted.

It was one of good african restaurants that I ever tried. The foods were so good. They also have vegetarian option for my boyfriend. But it was not spicy for my Asian tounge but my German boyfriend said that it was spicy. The price is also good. It is cheap compared to other African restaurants. The place also so crowded even in weekdays.
I've never had East African food before and this was absolutely incredible! The whole ambiance of the African Queen restaurant was so cozy and welcoming, the staff explained everything and were SO kind and sweet, and again, the food was just stunning. I don't remember the last time I was wow'd by food but this was one of those times. Thank you to the owner, staff, and the chefs for introducing me to this fabulous cuisine. I highly recommend anyone to dine here for this wonderful cultural experience.

Sehr authentisches Restaurant!

A lovely restaurant with a super nice atmosphere and good that simply tastes amazing.
After trying it several times I can safely say this is a must go location.
Je food is excellent ♥️ The amount of food is good and very fair. U really liked the ambient and the ecstatics of the restaurant. We went there with a lot of people and the servers were always very friendly.

This Ethiopian restaurant serves authentic dishes in a quiet atmosphere.

Other reviewers have mentioned not having silverware (which is the traditional way to eat Ethiopian food) however we already had silverware at the table when we were seated.

The food is delicious and our server was delightful! We ordered one dish to be vegan and the other dish to be not vegan. Definitely plan to come back again when we visit Frankfurt!
Went with the friends and had a great food. Tastes good and ambience is amazing. African beer with different flavours was surprising and served in coconut bowl.

Great food and great ambience. For Germans or who loves to taste medium spicey good according to European standard. I am Indian and I couldn't ask for more spicy because the taste of it is so great. Highly recommended

A very unknown restaurant hidden in the corner! This place offers authentic and delicious Ethiopian food. The lady is very friendly and welcoming, ready to explain the menu!
The food is served in the traditional way and ideal for sharing!
Make sure that you create a mix of dishes allowing you to enjoy the juicy chicken, the spicy lentils and more!
Very tasty and inexpensive food. Nice atmosphere. Very friendly staff. We ordered the platter for two and one appetiser (a mixture of meat and vegetarian dishes from their menu) which was surprisingly filling for two adults. We have to go back there to try the rest of their food!
Amazing place! :) The food was delicious, mixture of meat and vegetables, it is an incredible adventure for your mouth :)) Also i had the mango beer (Dju Dju) which was super good and sweet. The lady who welcomed us (i guess she was the manager) was very nice and kind, she was smiling the whole time and she recommended us the best food they had. I would definitely go there again, awesome restaurant! :)
It was my first time in an African restaurant and I have to say that it was really nice.

Menu is not so large but every entry is real African food. I chose and starter and a main course but I couldn't finish with a dessert. I was full.

I liked drink beer using an original cup instead of glass cup.

It seems that I will repeat when I come back to Frankfurt.
My boyfriend and I were feeling adventurous on our last night in Frankfurt so we decided to forego trying to find more schnitzel and opt for Kilimanjaro instead. I’m so glad we did!

Pros:
-Our waiter was awesome. He was very helpful in answering our questions about the food and he spoke great English too.
-The mango beer was great and came out in a coconut bowl.
-Free wi-fi.
-The meal for two was everything we wanted. It had a little bit of everything and it was all delicious. It was plenty of food for two people.

Cons:
-We didn’t have to wait for a table because we went for an early dinner, but the waiter said they usually only take reservations. So if you’re going during normal lunch/dinner rush, be aware of that!
The location and the stuff are lovely, but the food didn't really blow us away, since we expected it to have a bit more spice and complexity. The beef was also a bit too chewy. Maybe Ethiopian food just isn't for our tastes. Since we never had it before, we couldn't judge if it was authentic. If you're interested in Ethiopian cuisine it might still be worth a visit.
