Easy to access with plenty of parking spots. Unfortunately very littered and not in the best place, make sure you lock your car.
Very nice &, peaceful. Take a walk through the trails offered & stroll through the area for outdoor scenery.
Great fishing spot. Able to launch a small boat or kayak/canoe no problem. Numerous spots to fish from.

Lock your car & put valuables out of sight, not the best area!
Good fishing, friendly people, tho could use more trash receptacles
I dont know the history of this place, I wouldn't frequent this place. Trash all over the place, the signs have bullet holes and I just witnessed someone dumping good quality fish on the water. Fish were filleted and fillet meat was still on the fish.
We were just driving around checking everything out but the boat ramp at the park looks just like every other boat ramp I have seen - looks like there are no issues with it. You can even go fishing in the river anyway without a boat if you want since part of it goes through the park (google it and look on the map). We saw some people parked and one was unloading a boat and some other people were fishing. There is a trash can near the boat ramp as well and a restroom is nearby. Plenty of parking near the boat ramp and around the entire park.
Other than the boat ramp, since the ramp is located in a park...there are several other park features. Nature trails are an option. There is a ball field. Not sure if they have events here since we were just sightseeing and do not live in this area. Great area for having a party at the pavilion. They have a playground right there for kids. There are tennis courts. There are port-a-johns available near the pavilion and throughout the park - maybe not as many as it should have though. This park is very open with a ton of space. There is a dog park fenced in area for your furry companions. It is huge with plenty of space for your dogs to run around. They have benches in the fenced in area for you to sit down while your dog just gets a chance to run and play. The park is very secluded away from the city. It is quiet and peaceful here - maybe too peaceful since we saw a car parked and people "getting it on". Apparently they liked the privacy of this place as well. It must be known for having some of this sort of activity since I saw it in someone else's review of the park. There are a few trash cans scattered throughout the park but all the ones I saw were full. There is a model air flying field but they do not allow you to drive back there so I believe the dotted line on the map on Google is where you have to walk to get to the field to do this. I have never seen one of these model air flying fields but I was not willing to walk in the heat to get there. It is not the cleanest park but this park is free to visit so consider that when/if you visit - do not expect something exceptional.
It's such a great spot right out of Baltimore. I came here when I visited for a wedding (from NC) and just had some spoons and small panfish jugs and surprisingly caught two largemouths. There is a good ramp and solid shore access to the main river. Some people fishing cut bait pulled a few cats out of here.
Decent boat ramp for smaller boats. People fishing/crabbing on the boat ramp gets alittle annoying. Also people just randomly sit in their car. But it's free and has plenty of trailer parking.
