What a wonderful store! Went in looking for a wedding band and the owners were super helpful. Tons of gorgeous vintage jewelry and very reasonably priced!
Beautiful shop! I love going to look. The staff are very nice too.
Have tried to go here maybe 10 times and it is NEVER open. I work up the street and walk by multiple times a week and the sign on the door is always CLOSED
This has to be one of my favorite antique stores. Adele and Mara are knowledgeable and passionate about all the merchandise they have. We literally could’ve talked to them all day if we weren’t holding up the line for others to enter the store.
They have quite the collection that is fairly priced as they’ve done the research on each item. I ended up purchasing the most beautiful set of silverware I’ve seen, and intend to come back at another date to buy the cutest tea strainer I’ve seen (fingers crossed it’s still there!)
Also want to say thank you for not discriminating against us when we came in. This is one of the few antique stores where we were treated like normal people and not stalked around like we’re thieves just because of the color of our skin or treated lowly because we’re not super rich.

Any place that leaves its doors open in hot (or cold) weather has an unnecessariy high electric bill, which means unnecessarily high prices. This is besides not caring about power-plant emissions that contribute to climate change. So recommend not even stepping through their (open) door . . .

Great and beautiful decor, prices vary and some great new and vintage pieces. Definitely worth a look!
There are very cute products in stock! My partner loved a lot of the bright colours and cottagecore femme vibes. However, I'm very disappointed that they are not size inclusive, so if you expect anything over a large, good luck trying to find it. On top of that, the sizing of said clothing is 1 to 2 sizes smaller than U.S. average, which makes it impossible to shop for cute clothing there when you fit anything above a medium. It's might be a happy place for some, but sadly, it's not 'my' happy place.

This shop is a gem and Diane is amazing! The Old Town Shop has the best Christmas ornaments - I’ve wanted the Spite House ornament by artist Rachael Peden but it sells out quickly every single holiday season. Diane was able to find one and went above and beyond so I could finally add it to my collection. I’m so grateful for Diane’s genuine kindness and exceptional customer service!

these people are SCAMMERS literally reselling products they get from smaller businesses for triple the price! if y’all want cute things just go directly to the small business cus this place is literally overpriced and overhyped the only good thing about the store is the customer service, the girls outfit was cute but that’s about it!
Lovely store highlighting local Virginia makers. I've been in a few times, it's a great place to find some local art for yourself or as a gift. I recently went in, purchased a picture of old town for a gift. The art was beautiful and although it depicted well known Alexandria buildings, it didn't say Old Town on it. I asked the employees if they would be willing to write old town on it (because I have terrible penmanship). They very graciously agreed and it came out beautifully. I am eternally thankful! I highly recommend going to the store for great items and the fabulous employees. Thank you!!

Unbelievably gorgeous shop. Everything in the store has been curated perfectly for the home, yet it feels so inviting, so relaxed and unpretentious in the most elegant and luxurious way. This is a wonderful place to draw ideas from, and buy items that are impossible to get anywhere else!!!
Manse has some really cool products that are carefully curated. A little expensive.
Very fun store to visit. Nice selection of jewelry, crafts, and knickknacks. A great place to look for gifts. Also, weirdly a good selection of coffee, tea, and cocoa. All of those are covered by a rewards program if you go regularly. The spicy cocoa is particularly tasty.

An absolute treasure! Adele and Mara were both so wonderful, I could have talked to them for hours (actually I may have, my mom and I both lost track of time in here!). They’re so knowledgeable and interesting and have SUCH GOOD STUFF. Prices are very fair too. After I looked at just a couple of pieces, Adele totally got my vibe and pulled out the coolest pair of earrings (grand tour souvenir lava snakes!!) which I am now thrilled to own! I wish every shop was like this one. I can’t wait to return.

Visiting from out of town and decided to walk King St and shop the boutiques. This place is filled with all kinds of items, perfect for gifting or for treating yourself. Everything from Declaration of Independence rocks/pint glasses to themed match boxes. Staff was so friendly, the store was clean and well stocked. There's a small clearance section. Some items are a bit pricey but there were price points as low as $4 and others on the higher end. When I went there was a clearance sale on Christmas items and I got these adorable Alice in Wonderland felt ornaments. Their self care/body section was filled with quality salts, lotions, soaps and serums. I spent a good 30 minutes shopping their small store so that I could enjoy everything they offer. If you're looking for something unique, local and quality, check them out!

Great mission to support global artists. The products are made of good quality and they are reasonably priced. We were going to Patagonia to get my wife a hat but found one at this spot and were happy to support this vision.
Very cute store in the old town Alexandria area! There are a lot of neat products here, and so much variety to look at. Some things are a little pricey here, but definitely work stopping by and checking it out while in the area! Glad we stopped by. And it goes back pretty far - it's larger than you might think!

Was looking for an antique oyster plate and wondered into the shop by chance. They had exactly what I was looking for and the clerk kindly found a box for me. Can’t wait to browse more when I am not on a shopping mission!

Love the variety of items from local small businesses! Free parking in the same building which is unheard of in old town! There are a wide variety of classes to learn new skills and take items home with you that you made. Definitely recommend stopping in.
Stopped by the shop this afternoon to look for Christmas gifts for my family, picked up a cute magnet for my car, and was immediately asked by the cashier if he could “hold it for me” while I kept shopping. Such a gentleman, but I prefer when the businesses I frequent don’t assume I look like a shoplifter.
Update: in the future, if you would like some advice on how to treat your potential customers, if you are concerned that a customer looks like a threat, you could ask her if you can help her find something, instead of just implying that you would like her to keep your products at the counter so the cashier can keep an eye on them. Or share your assistance and excellent customer service to other customers in the store so that it does not appear directed at just one person. But the sarcasm and tone deaf reply was definitely a nice touch. I won’t be back. Thanks for your response.

This shop is a hidden gem! I’m so glad we stumbled in because there were so many unique, artisan treasures - I brought home this pitcher. The owner is a delight! I can’t wait to go back.
I didn't know it was a bad thing to ask for jobs until I came to this place. I asked wether if the store had or not seasonal jobs, and the lady who is pressumbly the manager was very rude to me. I asked, do you guys have seasonal jobs. And she said, I'd better looking for FULL TIME.
And then asked me in a unpleasant tone of voice if I had work experience.I litteraly felt I was nobody for this person. I understand if somebody doesn't meet the criteria for being hired in one place, but no one diserverves to be treated like garbage. This place has lost a costumer.

I drove up from Norfolk with high hopes to visit this store and add to my collection but was surprised to see it was closed. The sign referred customers to their website. Store personnel were inside and appeared to be in a bad mood. If they were just closed for lunch or their website indicated accurate store hours or if they had just smiled, then no problem. But, all is not lost as I have many more things on my list to accomplish.
They have all kinds of items from makers in Virginia. There are cards, candles, food, varied types of art, and more. Definitely worth your time to stop by and look around.

Met this vendor at Constitution Hall during our annual conference. Had to follow up with a visit to the shop. Very welcoming and knowledgeable service. Mara answered all my inquiries with gracious patience. Beautiful period jewelry and unique silver pieces. Many to make a wedding or anniversary celebration truly unique - from a one of a kind ring to wedding bridal cups.
This is the cutest store I've ever been to in my life. Would absolutely recommend for anyone who enjoys cute things, pastel, or unique and joyful gifts!

Walking around Old Town Alexandria was like stepping back into colonial days. The Shop is a great place to find some fun souvenirs. It's very welcoming and the people are kind and helpful.

A great place to find daily ustensiles and gifts. They have handmade crafts from India, Vietnam, Turkey and a lot of other countries. Every product comes with a card introducing the artists and their stories, the material and how to take care of it.
What an amazing little shop. They have the perfect hostess gifts, amazing glassware, great candles and tons more. I will be a regular every week!

This is a great gift shop. Definitely something for everyone here. The woman at the register was very nice. Some items are very pricy and others are affordable, so seems like this place will fit most budgets.

The owner of Chinoiserie, Peter, is a helpful and lovely human with a wonderful eye for design. I have been a customer of his for more than 5 years, and I have loved being so for the wonderful home objects I've acquired, but also for the chance to talk with him at every visit. Peter has a unique eye for new and antique Scandinavian and Japanese items, amongst other things, and he also has a small but impressive collection of contemporary jewelry. This is the only store of its kind in the area, and is a treasure to all customers.
My daughter and I visited this wonderful antique shop today. Mara, the owner, and her lovely mother were exceptional- so kind, helpful and welcoming. The jewelry and goodies found here are exquisite. My daughter loves antiques and Mara was knowledgeable and happy to share info about the different items she was looking through. We will definitely return! :)

Chinoiserie is a beautiful and uniquely quirky shop, one that you wouldn't expect to find on the main drag of Old Town. Peter, the proprietor, is extremely knowledgeable and curates his shop with an eye for lovely mid-century pieces, and home items that will add a special joy to your decor. Definitely worth stopping by!

Love this place! My sister and I went in on Saturday and (I’m sorry, I can’t find his card so don’t know his name) the owner was incredibly nice and he has some of the most unique things for sale! I wish there was a way to purchase on line because where my sister lives there, I do not. I would recommend to anyone who would like to get a unique gift for that someone special.
I went into the shop this past week while visiting, i love antique jewelry and i was not disappointed. The owner and her mother were the loveliest people. So helpful, kind, and really knew her stuff. While i didn’t end up buying anything (yet) i will always know where to go to get it. Excellent place!!
This is an amazing store. It is the place to go to for almost any occasion that you may need a gift including high quality souvenirs from your DC/VA experience. They carry wonderful tea towels that include ones depicting your university or state. They have a wonderful selection of soap and locations, specialty themed books, pillows and tee shirts along with fantastic greeting cards and children’s section. This is the perfect store to pick up and item or two to fill out that gift basket, VA/Alexandria themed item or hostess gift.

Seriously overpriced place! I would never bother with this place. Many items are grossly misidentified as rare European items. They will not reply to inquiries. This is deliberate and deceitful.

Great selection of barware to enhance anyone's bar. Harleigh was very helpful and knowledgeable with the history of the selections.
Such and cute and exciting little shop! They are the only place to get Old Town branded gifts and apparel! I LOVE all the pineapple themed gifts too! I really like that they feature local artists and have goods from the local Farmers Market vendors. There’s even a kids’ area for them to play and fun toys to buy! Everyone there is super nice and helpful. Great for visitors and locals alike!
Super cool store. If you are serious about your cocktails and antiques then go to this store. So much cool stuff. I wanted to take everything home. They carry lots of cool barware and mixers to boot.

After browsing the store for a few minutes, starting from the back, I worked my way up to the front of the store, and was kindly greeted by an employee. She asked if I needed help looking for anything, and I openly revealed my dilemma , "I'm searching for a Secret Santa gift, but I know absolutely nothing about the girl whose name I chose."
The wonderful employee gave me a nice tour of the jewelry section, since jewelry is always a safe bet. The employee (or really volunteer) told me which items were the best sellers, which items she had recently sold, etc. I ultimately went with a necklace with turquoise jewels on a silver chain.
I could never really tell whether or not the employee (volunteer) was being so helpful because she wanted me to exit the store sooner rather than later since they were closing soon, or if she was always so helpful. I'm convincing myself the latter is the case.
I also love that they have mini pieces of Divine Chocolate at the register for .25 cents. I can quickly satisfy by sweet cravings (which I always have) without feeling guilty!

I love this store and the owner. Amy has exceptional taste and she cares about her clients. She has gone above and beyond my expectations in helping me decorate my home. Amy also has children, so she gets balancing beautiful design with messy little ones. I wanted my home to have a mix of beautiful antique pieces with gorgeous, unique new pieces, clean lines and color and that's exactly what I got from Red Barn. Please stop by. You won't be disappointed.
Fantastic little store with treasures for the kitchen and house I haven't seen anywhere else. Japanese teapots and bells, Finnish glass and serveware, jewelry from the UK, 1970s style cookware, and an eclectic range of books. Some serious self control needs to be exercised here!
The pieces sold at The Hour fall in the category of gorgeous vintage / antique barware and glassware. I found the staff attentive and helpful. I did not purchase anything as I found the prices to be exorbitant.
Great selection of barware, too bad everything is marked up at around 200% actual value. I recommend taking some time to look up items on Ebay before throwing your money away on these nice but severely overpriced items.
