I love this place! The candy selection is great and you can find nice holiday items during winter
There's nothing like a girls day trip to Touch of Finland!!! Friendly staff and such unique items! My favorite place to shop for Christmas gifts in Marquette.
On the expensive side. Picked up some earrings and a key chain of the UP. Had items from down home, nice to see. Just a little too expensive. Beautiful pictures and alot of salsa, and candies
I'm so grateful to have this Finnish store within driving distance from my home. They have a big selection of Finnish candies and foods — there's always a new treat to try. They also carry the eucalyptus sauna oil, it's a must-have for my sauna sessions. Having been a customer for over 25 years, I've always had a wonderful experience visiting the store.
We have the same complaint as Cairngirl. We overheard them talking about me and my family in a very rude way, about several different things. Please address this issue. I was so excited to visit a store with so many wonderful Finnish items that I haven’t seen since living in Finland and my entire day was ruined by how they were talking about my family. I still bought a lot of glassware, but it felt wrong supporting the store. Feel free to reach out to me so I may give specifics.
We have shopped multiple times at Touch of Finland, as we like buying local and routinely buy Finnish items, and have bought many things and spent a fairly large amount of money there. After today’s experience however, we will no longer be shopping there. The sales people were rude, talking loudly between themselves about multiple customers behind their backs. If they didn’t like something being done, they could have directly and politely mentioned it to the customers. We also bought fairly expensive glassware, which once it was purchased, wasn’t wrapped and was simply put in the bag. Save your money and have a better experience- buy Finnish items from another retailer online, though I hate to say it, because we prefer to support local businesses.
Really cool store. Wife and I spent a long time here looking and smelling. Lots of reed de-fusers

Quintessentially Yooper Finnish (like the name would suggest) with a touch of other Nordic countries thrown in, you can get puukkos, Fazer chocolate, sauna related items, Suomi related clothing, and then add in all of the Yooper related items on top of it.
Does your last name end in -ki, -inen, -onen, or -la (not an exhaustive list)? Check it out. There's bound to be something for everyone.

Great place water is crystal clear.
So much to choose from! Aside from souvenirs, they have quite a bit of products to choose from to use for your home to your sauna to your skincare!

An extremely cute and well stocked store with unique art and gifts (for others and yourself 😁). Our 1st time visiting and we bought MANY cute items. We will definitely visit again when we're in the area!

Best Boutique in Marquette! I love shopping downtown Marquette when in the area. Stopped at Blackbird North for the first time last week and was amazed at the eclectic variety the store had. This will be a definite stop when I am passing through!
I loved the local craftsmanship sold here. Everything from decor to wine, sauces, jams, soaps, and the routine souvenirs. Staff and Daisy the Pomeranian were delightfully friendly and helpful.
Today's visit was my first time. I liked all the gifts they had. I couldn't leave there without a couple of earrings

Edit: Changed my 1-star to 3 because of the sincerity and explanation in the response. I don't usually leave small local businesses a 1-star, but I was so upset about the incident. The employee basically said "it's not my problem, I'm done working". It sounds like you've corrected the issue. Well done.
The way your employee treated a group of out of state customers last night was so upsetting, I left without buying anything and won’t be back. At 6:09 a group of people walked in, and your employee told them the store was closed. They nicely asked if they could quickly look around and she said no. Another person mentioned your listing says you’re open until 7. Your employee’s response was that she was only scheduled until 6:00 and the store was closed. Even if she was closing early, a good employee would have understood the importance of staying for those people. It was horrible customer service. I told some friends about it today and they were speechless.

I live in Chicagoland and visit Marquette a couple of times a year. If I only have time for one shop, Gathered Earth is it. Every time, there is something new and different! Some of my best gifts come from this delightful store. DO NOT pass it by---you won't be sorry!!

One of my favorite shops when I visit Marquette! All the local made things they have can have you looking forever, so cool. Must stop if in the area. Staff is super friendly as well.

Typical tourist fare. Nice selection of organically sourced and local items. Conveniently attached to Donkers (a must for any visitor to the area) and The Delft (higher priced niche menu catering to foodies and hipsters - if those are still a thing).
This place has quite a few cool things, higher prices are to expected as it's in downtown Marquette. I've been here on multiple occasions and have spent alot of money. Each time I've been in its been the same older couple, I'm guessing they're the owners. Customer service could use some work, they haven't been friendly on any occasion. They also charge a 4% credit card fee. I don't think I'll be back, even though they have neat things. It didn't seem like they wanted my business, just overall bah hum bug vibe.

Scandinavian gift store with mugs, kitchen items, small wooden knickknacks, puzzles, cards, and art. My cousin loves the artwork. I'm not really a fan. This visit the cashier was incredibly slow. We ended up with quite a line behind us and we only purchased 3 things.

Hello, my name is Richard Baker. I was shopping here with my adopted daughter. We were looking at mood rings when the pungent smell of orbeez assaulted my nostrils. I plugged my nose and began shopping in the shirts. WHY ARE THEY SO EXPENSIVE? IN THIS ECONOMY?? They say shop local, but this is a bit extreme. Absolutely unbelievable. And so disappointing. I wanted a nice flowy shirt to reveal my hairy chest once the snow starts to melt. Will NOT be returning. OH and not to mention, the sticker prices? HOW DARE THEY price stickers 4 when I love stickers. I like sticking stickers on peoples cars. #notrichardapproved!
We visit Marquette every year and I always make sure to stop in! They carry a wide selection of items and gifts for everyone. This is one of my favorite places to stop to grab shirts for our little toddlers each year because they have a nice selection and they are on trend....not just your typical "vacation shirts".
I was disappointed in the lack of effort to find goods made in Michigan to sell in a Michigan store. Even made in the USA would be a start.

Friendly souvenir shop. It was clean. Restrooms are not in store, but next door in commons. They have things specific to Marquette and the UP, but also have some things that are not location specific, but for all of Michigan. This was useful for us since we wanted local as well as Michigan items. If they don't have what you are looking for, ask, they are willing to help you find it.
A beautiful shop filled with thoughtful merchandise! This is a required stop during my annual trip to Marquette because of the unique clothing, stationery, jewelry and the friendly company.

Last year in 2019 my mom and I went to The Scandinavia Store in Marquette so I Bought Swedish Christmas Ornaments for my Christmas tree since I'm part Swedish ,I Bought a cute little cat decor item that looks like my girl cat .I love the Annas cookies they are really good .I highly recommend The Scandinavia Store to Everybody .they have local paintings of Marquette that the owner of the Store does they are beautiful
I literally arrived just as she was going to quick lock the door to close up for the evening. I asked if I could just quick take a look around as we were leaving the next day. She was so kind and said that she had a few "closing up" matters and that would be fine as it's her daughter's shop and many of the products are made from women artists. What a great shop owner, and a great shop. Fun, unique items from jewelry to boot socks that I've never seen before! I will be back.

Very charming store that offers unique gifts from Cycle Dog collars to beautiful Rising Tide infinity scarves to the largest inventory of Stormy Kromer hats and vests I've seen!! More importantly, the owners and staff are incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. Highly recommend shopping here for that perfect gift.
