Silver Gull Beach Club provided a blissful beachfront experience. The pristine sands and ocean views were breathtaking, and the amenities were top-notch. A must-visit for a day of sun and relaxation.

After complaining all summer 2023 this is the state of our cabana roof??? Totally unacceptable!! Rain leaks through light fixture and ruins ceiling and floors... fire hazard and mold situation!!!

Nice beach and hideaway. The units are a but outdated, however, an overall fun place to relax.

Management needs improvement, maintenance to the cabanas it’s a disaster.

Decent club only works with Spectrum Internet waited a week for equipment never came went to spectrum store 20 min away in Howard beach to set up everything same day otherwise there were no other issues

This is a beach club . Expensive. Poorly run dirty in dis repair. The only available beach club in NYC. So it's the only game in town. Site Atlantic ocean . Private club cafeteria is adequate. Pools dirty. Bathrooms dirty.

The food, employees, atmosphere everything was perfect. I would recommend this beautifully comfortable homelike warm venue for any occasion. I am even thinking of joining next season. Having my comment ceremony, birthday milestone 50th birthday party there . Love love love.....

Unfriendly staff and members, lackadaisical lifeguards, management unhelpful when dealing with member issues. Expensive to a fault. Update apparently ownership has changed again and the club has the vibe of being not quite put together. The cafeteria has not been open all summer.

My sister owns a cabana here and You don’t even feel like you’re in the city when you go visit this place. You feel like you flew to a resort. You’re on the beach they have swimming pools for adults and children. They play good music. they offer food there as well. There is a spot where you can put your own barbecue and make your own. Security is all over the place so if you have children. There safe! people been going there for probably more than two decades , it’s a great family community spot.

A solid day getaway if you live in Brooklyn. Bonus is the point where you can see the Manhattan skyline & Coney Island while sipping your toes In the sand.

Very rude Asian, Chinese worker/cashier lady. I was looking for my children size stockings and she came to me to not unfold the stocking. If I touch, I buy. She wasn't welcoming. I told her, that's why your store is empty, cause of your attitude. She said to leave. I liked the occasional dresses and stockings, also the tutus and material of the boxers and underwear for little girls. Theirs no size, after 8 in children on dresses and stockings.

Stepping back in time... a good thing.

Silver Gull is one of a disappearing breed of beach clubs. Going decades back, before A/C was common this is how families from Brooklyn and Queens kept cool. It is not the most up-to-date facility, but that is part of its charm. The pools are huge and clean, and there is plenty of place to setup your lounge chair... or better yet rent a cabana and have a home away form home.

I agree with other reviewers that they could do so much more with the food service. Bring in some food trucks or other vendors. They do not even sell sunscreen or beach sundries.... a wasted opportunity.

Fun place. Limited menu but really okay, enhanced by nice staff and good music. This night was a Beatles cover band. And they started on time!

They hooked me in with their day camp services. This was a must for me as my kids were staying with my parents who are both senior citizens. Needless to say, the camp turned out to be mismanaged and dangerous. On one occasion they left my daughter alone in the pool and went to another area. On another occasion they let my son wander away from his group only to later be attacked by a group of boys not in the camp. Management did nothing to fix this and actually blamed my kid who had to go to the doctor for his head injuries. Buyer beware when leaving your kids in their care.

The food is terrible, the bartender was rude, the place is run down, and management is angry and rough around the edges. They are clueless about customer service. Instead of solving our situation, they boarded up our cabana not allowing us to use it.

Atlantic Beach is a more viable beach Club area and option. Silver gull is a terrible place

Great private place. Service is good and everyone is nice. Food is not 5 stars but it is satisfying. We got a day pass. It's hard to find where to go when you are not a member. Just follow the road all the way back. You can being coolers and chairs to the beach. It is a bit of a walk though. Bathrooms are available. Nice escape from NYC.

Run down, nothing gets fixed, food is terrible, horrible management. And thats why we love it for the past 25 years!

The Rundown...

The place is very poorly kept. The bathrooms where disgusting, toilets where full of bugs, and other thing s I rather not say. The cabins, and lockers are run down, falling apart. The staff, not very helpful, or knowledgeable. The cafeteria was a disgrace, without proper ventilation system for cooking, no Ac. The chairs and tables where dirty and a lot of them broken and patched up with tape. The pirate ship was tiny, really just a small water slide for kids. And the lifeguards where Ill equipped to handle first aid.

Only good thing was that it had a nice size pool.

Save your money.
