The 2 times I've been there, the staff at the store was extremely friendly and helpful and shared fishing stories. The staff out on the pier were also very nice and the music and drinks were exceptional. Above all else, the fishing was surprisingly, phenomenal! I've never had such luck from a pier before!
We LOVE this place!!

This was my first time actually walking on this pier with my friends to meetup for drinks, and I asked if we can bring our water bottles, and was told it's ok, so I brought along my metal water bottle, and my friends had their plastic bottles of water and coke. The guy guarding the entrance to the bar at the end of the pier told me that I had to put my metal water bottle under a chair, but he told my friends that they could bring theirs inside. I asked why I couldn't bring my water bottle, but my friends were allowed, and he said because mine was in a metal bottle. I thought that was unfair that they discourage bringing water bottles, but ok with ones you have to recycle. It should be that either all bottles are allowed or none at all because some of us put our water in reusable water bottles and walk the beach before coming in so we stay hydrated. If they are worried about people beinging alcohol in, then newsflash! Alcohol can be disguised and mixed in recyclable plastic bottles, too, but they are worse for the environment and fill landfills. Reusable bottles are better for the planet. Other than that rule, the bartender was nice, the band was not bad, and the sunset was spectacular. Their drinks are pretty overpriced, even more expensive than the drinks at the Marshwalk. Also, you can't bring your purchased drink near the dance floor just in case it will be your first time too, and you wanna cut a rug. At least we had a great sunset and nice friends around.

The Pier at Garden City is an awesome place! It's a must stop each year when we go to Myrtle Beach! The kids love the arcades, we listen to live music and we always get Italian Ice at the stand each year! Bring cash, no cards accepted, at the Italian Ice stand! If you are looking for a nice night that's cheap.......this is the place to stop! Breakfast inside the shop at the pier is also really good as well!

First time at Garden City Pier. Went to see the Rick Stone Band. Bars had quick service. Plenty of seating to accommodate the summer crowd. Beautiful views of ocean. Free parking was full so had to park a few blocks west.

The Pier is a staple attraction on the Garden City beach area. From a peaceful walk out on the pier when they open the doors at 6 A.M. to relaxing afternoon with the kids in the arcade, it's definitely worth the trip. They have coffee served hot in the morning and other refreshments served throughout the day. Enjoy great views of the ocean or fish a little off the side of the pier. Great spot for all times of year and day.

Best pier there is. We may be a little bias but it’s our favorite. Live bands, karaoke every day. A diner that has yummy breakfast, lunch, dinner. Moderately priced arcade. Hair wraps for kids, Italian ice. Ice cream. Two bars. Fishing rental options. Tons of seating. Free to walk the length. Doesn’t get much better.

We have been coming here for 20 years. We love the pier and the energy around it.

Had an Awesome time fishing! Plenty of room. Met alot of friendly people willing to share what had been biting for the day!! Nice, little bar and grill if you are hungry or thirsty!! Even has an arcade for the kids to play!! Great time!!
