I met our daughter in law and grand children here. It is a great place for children. The staff are very knowledgeable and so great to visitors, old or young.
Our grandchildren love visiting Exploration Place and learn so much. Its like a mini- science world.
As a grandparent, it's a must go place in PG to enjoy with your grandchildren.

We went to the museum today, but only to check out the store. Lots of Mr PGs and that is what we went for. Greeted by all the staff who offered many amazing factoids even though we were only visiting the store. We also checked out the Cafe and had huge milkshakes that were delicious.
This place is amazing. A total gem to Prince George. There are so many interacive and miltisensory displays keeping the kids happy, entertained, and learning. Employees like Konrad take this experience to the next level. I loved his joy and enthusiasm. He taught us so much. Thank you, Konrad! If you are thinking about going, do it, you will not be disappointed.
Awesome and budget friendly place and a must for those exploring Prince George. All the staff were super friendly and knowledgeable, what I loved about it was the amount of items put out for everyone to interact with. There were skulls in the play area! Best is that this is a not-for-profit so you get the best experience and it shows.
Thanks!
Hadn't visited yet but when family came in from out of town decided to check it out. Lots to see here and we'll laid out. Interesting to see the changes that have taken place over time and the history of the region. Natural history is a favourite of mine and this is well presented here. I now plan to keep an eye on the temporary exhibits and follow up with the ones that interest me.
My kids and I used to thoroughly enjoy this museum. On our latest trip back to our hometown of Prince George, we decided to stop in and reminisce. This was the most disappointing $50 I ever spent. No play structure, no little jail, no little theatre. My kids were not interested in anything being offered, and I couldn't blame them. I really feel this place went from a 10, to a 2. So sad!
Over priced and frustrating.
The slides for the microscope you can't see the labels or the objects.
The exhibit details are labelled, but the objects are not visibly labelled with a corresponding number or how the object was used. This would have been a better experience. The print was small and hard to read. An example was the herbarium. We were not provided a stylus. There was a lot of missed opportunity for knowledge sharing.
It was pretty boring and I could have gotten better education elsewhere and the kids could have played with the same toys for free or for more affordable elsewhere.
I miss the science kits and more interactive learning opportunities.
Tables were cool.
I loved this place as I found it both enternating and informative for kids and adults. The staff are nice too.
This museum was a great experience 😃 at the reception, you get a display of dinosaur skeletons #fake 🦖🦕 but still a lot realistic on proportions and detailed. Mr PG is always a pleasure to see 🙈 as well as checking on his story, at least for the metal version, which was lost for about 10 years 😞, but it found its way back 🏠
Upon everything, I loved a lot the Lheidli T'enneh display (artifacts and history). Thank you for welcoming us 😊
Great for kindergarten kids and up, less so for those with preschoolers. Good to see the travelling exhibit space on the lower floor, makes it really easy to get to and navigate. Local artists and authors showcased in the gift shop. Have a family membership will definitely be back.
I was there with my daughters today. The renovations are so excellent. The bee exhibit is super informative. The staff members are awesome too. Very friendly. And one staff member in particular went above and beyond helping me with my screaming toddler in the shop. Was a very good experience can't wait to come back!
Terrific place to visit with kids. It's not "science world" but it's a great value. Well maintained exhibits, friendly staff, eclectic variety, and young kids have a blast in the play area.
