Loved this place! It was my first time having pozole and it was just so delicious. The people were super nice and the drinks were tasty.

We used La Diabla in October 2023 for our wedding celebration in downtown Denver and they were fantastic.

We had a pork spit set up outside for people to grab Al Pastor tacos and they all loved it. It added so much to our evening. Highly recommend adding this if you do their catering for a wedding.

It was super easy to meet everyones dietary needs, as they brought great vegetarian options and it was gluten free and dairy free, so we didn't need to change things up for individuals.

I gotta say the posole is great, but these pastor tacos are freaking delicious. Best tacos I've had in a while. The place is cramped when busy hard to move around without bumping into someone.

This place is worth the hype, the Michelin recognition, all of it. The service was great, but the food was outstanding! I grew up eating these dishes & haven't found a place that captures the flavors in quite the same way. Until now.

Expect a long wait if you go there on a weekend night even though the place looks very unassuming. I really liked the Birria (with bone marrow), Carnitas and Pastor tacos. The only complaint is that the service was very slow and inattentive; we were constantly lacking water or napkins. The bathroom was also really dirty with no soap or towels available.

We each got a pozole, a bean and cheese taco, and a red snapper tacos, all of which I would highly recommend and purchase again. However, what was truly mind-blowing and a revelation was their costra birria taco with bone marrow. This was the best taco I've ever had, hard stop. I would fly back to Denver for this taco.

One of Bon Appetit's 50 best restaurants in the US, this is from Chef Jose Avila, one of the founders of Machete Taco, a great spot in its own right. You get the sense here that Jose is allowed to indulge his deeper tastes and flavors. Pozole is done here with a completeness and authenticity lacking from the Tex-Mex version I've usually experienced in the states. Tacos are also a highlight. You have the option to add a roasted split bone with marrow you can scrape into your taco. You should do this. They also have a good cocktail list and a really interesting regional spirit list of the outer edges of agave driven liquors. No reservations available. A few nights of the week you can visit the pastor taco stand out front and eat cheap tacos from paper plates on plastic chairs, which feels as much like Mexico City to me as anywhere in Denver.
