Stopped in for lunch and got a chicken caesar salad. The chicken was overdone so it was tough to chew, but the dressing had good flavor.

The churros were delicious, how can you go wrong with fried dough and sugar?!

The Raven lounge is one of my favorite haunts in Philadelphia. You will always meet interesting people and you can totally just hang out and relax.

Legends started here. Awesome place for stand-up and Thursday open mics. Beers are 6 bucks but that's not that bad for Center City. Staff is also very cool.

Just go! Put on your best dress because everyone there is dressed beautifully. Go and just have a good time. I’d recommend this place to everyone. I think my waiter was Luis, and he was amazing. They come to your table just enough to make sure you’re well taken care of, but not so much that it gets annoying.

You can sit there with friends and have a great conversation, or just sit alone and soak in the beautiful scenery. The place is stunning, and you’ll want to live in and soak up every moment.

Wow… this place used to be so fun, I’m not sure what happened. I showed up on a Thursday night to celebrate a friend’s 21st birthday. To start, the main floor toilet was filled with feces and there was no sign on the door saying “Out of Order.” The upstairs bathroom was no better, there was no soap and only hand sanitizer. Speaking of upstairs, it was comedy night and the “comedians” were all recycling the same old misogynist jokes. Boo boo, tomato, boo. The drinks were also ridiculously expensive. $15 for a vodka cranberry? Really? Eventually the owner kicked the birthday girl out because she was wearing high heels and needed assistance getting to the upstairs bathroom, ya know, because the main bathroom was absolutely disgusting. Horrible, dirty place with horrible staff.

Raven Lounge - What a dump - I mean listing this place as a dive-bar would be too nice to it. It is absolutely filthy and it is shocking that it keeps its licence to operate. There was nothing fun about it at all.... It was saturday night but it was mostly empty despite everything else on that road being full.

What an experience, food was amazing the atmosphere as well and our server I believe his name is Ezekiel (hopefully I got it right) his knowledge of the menu was extremely helpful and the way he treated us was great. My parents don't speak alot of English and he made it a point to speak Spanish...well not much but enough for my mother and dad to understand coffee lol. To the wait staff and kitchen staff you all get 5 stars

All the reviews on here GOT TO BE fake. We watched the table behind us take there food back, to the left of us and then 4 out of 8 people that we had at our table. The mac and cheese tasted like dry nothing no seasoning not even cheese. And the ravioli taste like canned tuna mush. It was foul! Especially for $40 a meal

Atmosphere was very nice. Can be an extremely long wait time but I understand it because the place is small. Would recommend you get there put your name down and then grab a bite to eat. El Rey next door was great.

Went here for my friend’s birthday, we had the side room for 30 people. The servers and bartenders were amazing, they were attentive and had the best customer service. The food and drinks were delicious! And the vibes were classy and low key. I would love to go back here for brunch and happy hour. Highly recommend!

Hey! The food was great I had the Seafood Linguini definitely would eat it again. The server wasn’t very friendly. We told him we were celebrating a birthday and I know he’s not obligated to wish them a happy birthday but it would’ve been nice. The atmosphere was very dark (lighting) so it gave a closed off vibe so if you would like a quiet dinner this is your place. The music was okay, the atmosphere just brought the place down.

Amazing customer service, exquisite drinks, enchanting ambiance. I had the Old Fashion #2, while my wife ordered the Margarita #2. Both were amazingly crafted and I followed up my first drink with some sort of Argentinian long island cuz I needed some caffeine. Wonderful experience. Also, ask for Max!

I was excited to try Aqimero after a friend showed me a video of his dinner selection that was an enchanting presentation. Learning it was located in the Ritz Carlton was a bonus as well. I immediately expected great ambiance, food and impeccable service.

The entrance from street level into Aqimero is breathtaking. The hostess was friendly and advised she would be able to seat us when the third person in our party arrived. That was perfectly fine. We headed to the lounge area and grabbed a seat. Within a few minutes, a very nice server approached us and we ordered cocktails. I had the Espresso Martini and my friend ordered a Spicy Marqarita. Both drinks were satisfying and the tab was closed.

We were seated in the bar area and advised of our waiters name. Another nice server offered us water and advised of the specials. However, after an excessive amount of time had passed, I went to the hostess stand to advise our waiter never approached our table. Shortly after, a young lady came to our table and informed us the person we were told would be our waiter went home and she would assist instead.

We started placing our orders and one friend asked if they had salad. She was informed the did not. (that's odd for a restaurant not to offer a salad). She then ordered the Crab Cake Benedict and a Lemon Drop Martini.

I ordered the pancakes and since I had looked at their online menu, I asked if they had bacon and eggs. The waitress said they did. (why would these items not be on the printout Brunch menu)? I ordered those as well as a Peach Bellini.

The waitress brought the Lemon Drop Martini and an Espresso Martini. I advised her I ordered the Peach Bellini. She took the Espresso Martini back and placed it back in the area for servers. Then there was a wait for the Peach Bellini.

My pancakes, bacon and eggs were all very good. My friend and I were both completely deflated to see there were 2 small box style crabcakes and not fresh lump crabcakes as was expected in a venue located inside the Ritz Carlton in Center City Philadelphia. This was a major disappointment. And to top it off, her dish was cold as if it had been sitting awhile. That's unacceptable.

We ask for the check, and the first thing listed is a $22 Espresso Martini! My friend now goes to the hostess stand where our waitress was located. She acknowledged the mistake and had it corrected prior to presenting us with a new tab.

There were far too many mishaps and disappointments for me to say I would recommend you try them. However, there are good reviews as well, so decided for yourself.

Cheers!
Have been wanting to check this place out for years and finally was able to make it work!

Absolutely loved our experience there - the drinks were really fun, unique and expertly crafted.

We particularly enjoyed how intimate and cozy the setting was. Made for a perfect night out!

I think this place is pretty and sleek. The ambiance is a great place for date night, a girls night, or happy hour.

I ordered the arancini, lamb chops, asparagus, and cheesecake. The arancini was just ok, the lamb chops and asparagus were definitely a hit. The cheesecake was good too. My friend ordered a seafood dish that was supposed to come with scallops and it was missing. They ran out of scallops but we should’ve been notified of that when the order was placed. The service was ok, the server could’ve been more attentive.

Ranstead Room was an awesome end to our valentine's date night. The interior is dark and moody, with limited bar or table seating. The service throughout was great and fast. For drinks, the options available were pricey, but all interesting and definitely tasty. I particularly appreciated the side car given for martinis. Overall had a stellar time.

Went to celebrate husband’s bday!

Great ambience and vibes. The restaurant is located in the lobby of Ritz and has a nice loud feeling to it.

Food was good however service was a bit slow.

Overall a great place to have dinner!
Good drinks and ambience. Love the energy of bartender and waitress. We came with a large group. But I recommend for groups below 5 unless you are ok to split between tables.

Been here once. It's in a nondescript building down an alley like street. First come first served. A cool speak easy atmosphere. Drinks are made very well. Bartenders and staff are welcoming. I would recommend to anyone who is looking for a different evening experience.
The Skinny Margarita at $142 is a total ripoff! We ordered a drink that was awful and decided to order another .. the drinks on the menu were between $18 -20. So ordering what was thought to be a simple margarita turned out to be a shock when the bill came!! The manager who served us said she asked if the margarita on the menu is what we wanted … we said yes without taking a close look at the price!!! For a tequila that expensive it should not be mixed!!! I think that setup was deliberate and I am quite sure we are not the only victim!!! The server should have produced the tequila bottle when the order was placed to emphasize the fact that this is not a regular tequila!!! Never go there again. Before even knowing the price we thought the margarita was bad tasting too!! Ripoff!!!

Love the atmosphere of this place. It's a perfect stop after the Christmas market, the inside is festive and feels very posh. Love it! Service is great, seating is hit or miss. The drink menu could be a little more exciting, compared to other cocktail bars in Philly. Especially for the price. Nonetheless, a great after Christmas market tradition during the holidays

Really cool vibe and atmosphere. Feels like a trendy restaurant/hotel bar. Service was great, everyone was very attentive. Food and drinks were a bit slow but we were there on a Friday night. Overall the food was very tasty it was just overpriced in my opinion. A virgin mojito was $14 and an espresso martini was $29.

Always a fantastic experience. Never get the same drink twice. Experts behind the bar, worth the wait if you have to wait. Always accommodating and friendly. Come for the cocktails stay for the people
Cocktail was mediocre at best but the bartender was snarky and unwelcoming. He spilled the drink on arrival (no coaster or napkin) didn’t acknowledge it and informed us that a 20% tip would be automatically added until “everyone got used to it”. Apparently the bar was out of sprite, cherries, food? Other customers asked about food and the bartender responded that the server had not yet shown up as if they were supposed to know somehow? It was dive bar attitude and quality with exclusive cocktail bar prices.
Love this place! Tucked inside a boutique hotel. Great drinks selections, they served a small welcome drink upon arrival, nice touch.

Asked for a one off drink to be made just for you and you won't be disappointed.

10s across the board.

I had the crispy calamari and shrimp to start.
The lamb and crab mash for my entree.
The churros for dessert with a chocolate dip!

Scrumptious from top to bottom.
I miss the old location. Something about the old location had charm and felt like an elevated experience. The new location feels too gigantic and fake.

The previous location had a wonderful menu of the most interesting creations. I could always count on having at least two drinks that I NEEDED to try. I had such a hard time trying to find a drink that I liked. When I asked the bartender for something with gin and ginger (a drink I would always get at the old location), he ushered me to a drink with chili jello in it. It was fine, but I missed the days of fresh ingredients and a drink for every taste.

Also, the doorman needs to relax. I don’t know if it’s an act, but he was wound way too tight.

Located close to Rittenhouse Square, The Love is pumping out works of food art. Blending complementary flavors with stunning visual plating, every dish is delicious and almost too pretty to eat. The stars of the show were the Take Me Away - Nashville fried chicken, the hush puppies, green salad and the burrata. You can see why this is a popular place. The service was good and waiter kind and prompt. A must try! We will be back!

Listen. That's one hell of a place to go on a date! Beautiful, sensual, and dark atmosphere (even from the outside and the room for the reservations), comfortable booths, open till late at night, and limited seats (yes, you'll probably need a reservation, but it will never get overcrowded!).

Con: Bathroom's a bit... bad... to put it in a good way.

The music was great and just on the right level to easily have a conversation. The service was on point with a good bartender and great waiters who knew the drinks.

The only downside was the price for the drinks (which were great overall), the portions for them, and how short the selection was. I'm sure they'd be able to list a few more interesting drinks other than 3× of each classic one. And $17-20 for a cocktail and $19 for a glass of wine that came in a can? Hmmmmm, I don't know... You can be the judge of that.
When I first arrived I really enjoyed the ambience. Bar service was great, the two girls serving were amazing and made sure I was taken care of. Aside from that. I will NOT be returning to this establishment due to a man going up to the servers and began cursing and yelling at then for nonsense. I later learned that he was one of the owners speaking very harshly to the servers. Which he then turned and cursed at me for sticking up for them. I was willing to continue enjoying my night and buying drinks, but after that I will never give those owners a dime.
I came in on a Thursday night. Three people were sitting at the little bar downstairs. It was cute and I was only there for a snack and a drink. The bartender didn't greet me when I walked in and sat down, but I figured that was because he was talking to the customer in the middle. But then... He didn't come over to me for at least 5 minutes (I was also sitting next to the service bar so he came over to grab things in front of me without acknowledging that I was there). I had never been, so I didn't know the menu and fortunately the two women sitting next to me clued me in. When I put the drink in he set right to work on it. It was fine (an old fashioned). I nabbed him to ask about food, and he told me they had flatbread and I was like.. Haha great do... You have a menu? I ended up just getting chips because I was worried about the timing.

Ultimately very strange experience. The space was really cute. Lots of faces on the wall up the stairs. A crossword puzzle on the wall behind the bar that's cute and has the names of authors on it.

It made me sad, I was excited to go to this quirky cool writer/book lounge and instead was disappointed.

Had a great weekday happy hour dinner here. Portions were on the smaller side, but the prices were great, so easily compensated with ordering one extra order. Small dish of the day was a chorizo quasadilla which was fantastic. I've had better tacos, but I can't complain with theirs either! The atmosphere was great, and the staff were very friendly and easy to talk to. For example, when walking out the restaurant, the front lady was on the phone, and she took the care to say "hold on one second" on the phone just to tell us thanks for coming in and to have a good evening. Generally a good experience, and would recommend. Wouldn't hesitate to come back another time!

Excellent food. Great service. Can feel slightly cramped in the small space but it's almost a NYC like cozy feel.

Everything tasted great. The burrata was excellent, along with the fried cauliflower.

My "love bird" entree was a near perfect fried chicken. The beef Rigatoni was also really good. We barely had space for dessert but were glad we got the C for cookie.

Overall, great.
Came here after dinner for a late night drink. The atmosphere was very cool and the moody lighting makes it feel very cozy. The drinks were good and the staff was very nice.
Don’t let the rude door man deter you from entering this fantastic bar! The decor is simply stunning and the waitstaff and mixologists are fabulous!! Definitely a stop before heading to dinner or a night on the town!

Went out for restaurant week, ladies night on a Wednesday evening. Sat at the bar until our table was ready. Cocktail was delicious a little pricey definitely not getting drunk lol. There was a set menu due to restaurant week bur the choices were great, the food was amazing. Highly recommend the salad with apples and goat cheese. salmon over sweet potatoe puree and strawberry cheese cake for 🍰 dessert. Small intimate venue. Loved it
Really pretty atmosphere. I really enjoyed the vibe here. Staff were nice and the drinks and food were good but the baklava was amazing. I usually don’t even like baklava but theirs was really good. It’s a perfect summer time spot. Will be returning.

Verdict: Recommended

Really enjoyed dining with its quirky interior and upbeat staff.

Food was alright. Had the Brisket enchilada and the guava margarita. Both were good and reasonably priced.

The place was a tad dark but not a deal breaker at all.

Overall great place to come for some good mexican food and drinks.

We had a reservation for 8:45 but it was so crowded that we had to wait an extra 20 minutes. The hostest was very good at keeping us abreast of our wait time. There was nowhere to sit and wait, so we had to stand by an active elevator where this rude person in a white skirt kept acting like we were in the way when we had no choice. However, after we were seated, we enjoyed the food, and the service was excellent. The shrimp and scallops seared were perfect with the spaghetti. The garlic rub cornbread is great also. Try the fried green tomatoes. Hmm.

If I could rate this experience a 0 score I would! Although the food was good, the customer service was poor! We entered not to be met by a host. We had to try to find one. When we finally found the host, she was pleasant and we thought we would be off to a great start. We ordered drinks and appetizers. As we waited for our remaining guest to come as we finished the appetizers the male host in all black came to our table to tell us we needed to order our our entrees or be moved to the lounge because he had other guest for the table. As we looked around there were plenty of other tables available. There was a larger table of guest who had arrived before us and he never even walked over to have them speed up. When I addressed his comment he was condescending and dismissive. We told him to send the server since there was a rush. The serve did not come over for another 15-20 minutes. When our food arrived we were never provided with steak knives to cut our food. The server and male host made us feel unwelcome and rushed. Although the other food was fine the lamb chops were rare and had to be sent back after asking for them to be medium. The bathrooms were not clean and I had to request paper towel. Instead of handing me the paper towel as my hands were dripping I had to follow the worker back the restroom just to get one. We were told we couldnt take photos because it was a liability issue and the Ritz could get sued. The experience makes me never want to return or even go to a Ritz Carlton if this is the experience. I’ll stick with the Four Season!

I went here during restaurant week and was not disappointed. I got the Spiced pear martini and it was the BEST cocktail I've ever had and I'm a cocktail snob. Food was great, service was phenomenal, especially for a Friday night. Only "complaint" was that the music was loud and a little inappropriate. I will definitely go back.

We were looking for a place with good frozen margaritas and came across this restaurant. We had the pitcher of frozen margaritas and the chorizo nachos. The margaritas were ok. A little strong for my liking but they were enjoyable. The nachos, on the other hand, were not. They were simultaneously burned and cold at the same time. Not sure how that happens. The service was great and we were only sitting for about 10 minutes before everything came to the table. I'd come back for the margaritas but not for the food.

Our first experience at this wonderful little restaurant...we made a reservation on line and we were pleasantly surprised that we were seated exactly at the time we reserved for lunch on Saturday...we were hoping to sit outside but we loved the table we were seated at inside on the first floor...the service was incredible...the restaurant was very clean...and the food was memorably delicious...we started out with the Southern Hush Puppies and we ordered the Sausage and Biscuits, Rodeo Burger and Chicken Caesar Salad...all dishes were beautifully plated and were amazingly delicious. It was a lovely adventure in Philadelphia and Rittenhouse Square...Thank You to The Love. and Staff! We'll be back and we will be sending all our friends and family your way!
When I first saw this place online I was skeptical but when I actually got to the place it was amazing the food was great !! My service was great etc thank you Allison for your GREAT service and helping me bring my birthday in the RIGHT WAY thank you !! YOU DESERVE A RAISE !! I also recommend the wings and the mozzarella sticks and also the salads are huge … drink were great and hookah was smooth
Drinks were well-crafted and flavorful. Doug made us feel welcomed and was super hospitable as if we were kicking it in his house. My friends and I will definitely be back.

My first experience here was incredible. I used to work for the head chef and I was so excited to check out this spot. All of the food was absolutely delicious. Reminiscent of Talula's Garden, but not as complex. We were treated like family and the serving staff and kitchen staff went above and beyond to make sure I was happy for my birthday celebration. I would definitely go back here and would recommend this spot to everyone!
Cool, expansive bar with cute book decor. Nice place for a quiet cocktail and conversation.
Nothing short of Superlative!
I was in town for a conference and I decided to celebrate afterwards, just casually—and we decided on The Love.
This place is amazing, cozy atmosphere, great lighting, and just pleasant views. The staff was very friendly and generous. But let’s get to the food!
I had the buttermilk chicken, such a large portion, and tastes like MONEY! It fried to perfection, it juicy, and Fresh. The greens were so good—subtly sweet and a hint of vinegar. The grits were a great addition with the jalapeño slices.
My mom had the Short Rib pasta and it blew my mind when I tasted it. It was spectacular, every bite was perfection.

The Cornbread with whipped butter—needs no description, just order it and enjoy!

The Dessert…OMG (Don’t skip dessert) I had the Tiramisu in a cup and she had the Rhubarb pie with buttermilk ice cream. Your going to want that ice cream to come in a 12oz. So rich and creamy, it paired so well the pie. The tiramisu was the best I ever had!!! Order coffee with it, and thank me later.

The cocktails are ok, the Frozen Margarita was better than my Aperol Sprits like drink.
The bottom line is this place knocked my socks off!

What a gem of a restaurant just off the open lobby of the Ritz Carlton. The ambience and staff were fantastic but the food stole the show. With a large grille, there are so many dishes cooked to perfection with a touch of char and smokiness. But the layers of Latin flavors imbued in each dish elevate the dining experience to a very memorable experience that sets this dinner apart.

Amazing guac. Great nacho structure, very well distributed toppings. Got the steak fajita and it was a bit too much onions and cheese but was still good. The tuna ceviche was decent. I really like the art on the walls

We loved, The Love. We ordered two delicious drinks from their lunch menu, the real peach - fresh, a splash of ginger, just right. The broken arrow has an awesome slight kick with the chili powdered rim that completes it, great combo. We had the burrata and the cast iron baked rolls, both truly delicious. For dishes we had the shrimp and grits, it's pretty amazing with the charred shishito peppers, yum. I also ordered the healthy salmon bowl, which seems to be a favorite as I noticed many ordered the same; it didn't disappoint. The portions were decent. Our waiter was pleasant and attentive, would definitely recommend!

Came here for fathers day brunch and found everything very aesthetic, but nothing special (especially as someone who grew up in the south). I expected more for the price.

Here's what we ordered:

Baby buttermilk drop biscuits- I liked these! They taste like biscuits but in the texture of a mini popover!

Fried green tomatoes- fine but not great

Strawberry scones- also fine, but nothing special

Posh brunch- I asked what to order as a vegetarian for my main dish, and my server told me to get this. You couldn't taste the truffle in the truffle scrambled eggs, and the brioche bread was stale and dry (honestly have had better brioche bread from the grocery store).

Overall, was unimpressed by the food at the Love.
Went for the “sky bar” and if you’re looking for a city view this is not the place for you. That’s fine though, my review is not about that. This is also a hookah bar and when we turned it down simply just wanting drinks and food with a view, our server seemed displeased… okay. The food came out quickly and was quite good but was cold. When I say it came out quick it was less than five minutes after ordering. The drinks weren’t good either. If I’m ordering a mixed drink I expect it to taste like a specialty drink, not rubbing alcohol. Okay fine, maybe that’s just my taste. So we decided to leave as it wasn’t the spot for us. The server all of a sudden started being extremely rude to us, muttering under her breath and copping attitude that we were leaving…? The rest of our time there waiting for our check and the box for our food felt very uncomfortable and unwelcoming. There was also a $20 PER PERSON charge to get in. We were seated immediately with no wait, so why the entrance fee. $40 just to get in and get bad drinks, cold food, no view, and less than stellar service is a no for me. I was extra friendly hoping the servers attitude would change, but it did not… save your money.

Excellent tacos, extremely fast (and friendly) service, very tasty Street corn and, of course, great margaritas! Cannot wait to return to El Rey and try more of their menu! highly recommend trying this place; we sat at the bar, but it was comfy and not too crowded. Getting a table can be difficult here without a reservation but it's all good, no matter how you eat here so long as you do ☺

We went on a Sunday for the bottomless brunch, and while pricey ($75pp) it was a pretty good value. The first course was delicious pastries with fresh fruit and granola, all really good. The second course was different toasts and a shrimp cocktail. The mushroom toast was especially good. For the 3rd course we had bananas foster pancakes (amazingly rich) and huevos rancheros. The churros for the final course were hot right from the oven and delicious. Overall we had a great time, the service was good and we got to try all the drinks as much as we wanted. Very unique and impressive setting too.
The food was delish and service was quick and efficient. i got the strawberry patron margarita and it was tasty. I went on a week day and it was pretty early so it was nearly empty when i first got there but the top floor was filling up quickly as the day went along. it was a nice vibe

From the beautiful architecture of the building to the ambiance and sitting area, followed by the wondrous smell of the firewood emanating from the kitchen, if you have the opportunity to dine here, then it's a must! The food was outstanding, in presentation, temperature, and taste, complemented by a nice wine list. If you are lucky to have Francesca as your waitress, your experience is complete!
Our time spent here was great! The food is surprisingly delicious and the drinks were great. We also had hookah which was reasonably priced and really good! There was a cover charge at the door, which was weird, but whatever. We had a nice lounge experience.

Weird vibes. $10 cover to get in and it was only 9pm on a Friday. Place was kinda dead so what was the cover for? Food is mid. Drinks are watered down.

And then I was overcharged!!! Tip is already included but they added extra cuz my $40 bill was charged $55 on my bank statement.

DJ downstairs was playing great music but there were only a few guests and they were all sitting upstairs.

A friend and I were visiting PA , and decided to give this Mexican restaurant a try, and I must say, I was blown away by the quality of the food and service. The experience was nothing short of amazing.

The chicken enchiladas were absolutely delicious, and I could not get enough of them. The flavor was very unique and perfect, and I found myself savoring every bite. The rice was also a standout dish, cooked to perfection and complementing the enchiladas perfectly.

The only “con “ of this place is the size of the location, it’s quite small and can get VERY loud at the back of the restaurant.

Overall, I highly recommend this Mexican restaurant to anyone looking for a delicious and authentic dining experience. The Enchiladas and rice were outstanding, and I can confidently say that you will not be disappointed.

I think this is the sister restaurant to El Vez. It’s a very good Mexican spot to dine in if you’re in the Rittenhouse/Art Museum area. We enjoyed the cocktails, the guacamole here was superb, the ceviche was on point, the fajitas sizzled, and the enchiladas delivered. I do want to add that the waitress we had was super friendly and helpful. All in all, this is a legit and cozy spot to enjoy some fulfilling Mexican grub.
3.5. Exclusive atmosphere, pricey drinks. We did not make a reservation and got in right away, however, this was 10pm on a rainy Friday night. It started getting crowded as the night went on and I imagine reservations are needed when the weather is nice. The doorman/hostess was so overprotective of people coming in that it ruined the vibe. For example, if you came in on your own, the bar tended kicked you back outside until the doorman could let you in. This did not happen to us as the doorman was by the door when we first came in, but we watched it happen to multiple parties after, as the doorman was also responsible for seating parties. It made the place feel snobby, even if this wasn’t the goal.

Drinks were honestly too expensive for me to return. It’s cool, yes, but nothing worth the price, even with complimentary shots. Cocktail menu was rather traditional and nothing was super innovative. Two decent cocktails (manhattan and a bramble) plus alright ice cream for $50 pre- tip. Ice cream was a small scoop and tasted like store brand vanilla mixed with passion fruit puree. Overall, cool place to stumble upon, not necessarily a negative experience, but definitely not worth the price for me to return.

Very cute, eclectic little bar. The upstairs was closed, but the bar downstairs had plenty of seats for the early evening crowd on a Sunday. We enjoyed our two drinks, though a little on the sweet side for my preference. The overall experience was fine. We're down to go and try it again!

Love the Lil Nas X mural on the side. It's gorgeous!
I was shocked at the hidden gem feel. There were maybe 10 people there when I came in, it's not crowded, not loud; I was able to get a cocktail and read a book and just chill. It's smaller than I thought it was, so I hope it stays a hidden gem. It's very cute and very clean and the people are super nice and the cocktail menu has a lot of options so I hope to keep coming back.
Drinks here are not exactly cheap, but this is one of the few places that I feel confident saying that you get what you pay for. I have never gotten a cocktail here that was anything less than perfect. They have safe options that will appeal to anyone, and options for those of us who aren't afraid to get a bit weird and adventurous with it. The staff is always a delight and very knowledgeable about their offerings, service is absolutely top notch. The atmosphere is great, a little dark and moody, exactly what a little hidden gem of a cocktail bar should be.
So, my servers weren't rude, like a lot of the other reviews say, they were just inattentive. I had to frequently wait for someone to make rounds to ask for more drinks or dessert.. Eh.. the food/drinks.. The drinks were small, the food portion size was small, and they came out in small plastic cups and plastic containers. The food was good. I just don't think the experience was worth the drive from NJ, and the parking garage fees. We also had to pay 20$ per person as a cover to get in. It wasn't a crowded Saturday night. Anyway, It was very nice inside and the music was also nice. I just think I could've spent my money elsewhere. It was a nice experience, but I don't think i'll be back.
Loved it here!

The Doppelganger is fire - literally it's ON fire.

The location is beautiful. They're creating a whiskey room and the big group room is gorgeous and perfect for parties. They have so much space to host and in general the place is amazing. I love a good speakeasy vibe and they've definitely captured that.

I think my one criticism would be the snacks they have available - 14 dollars for a 1/4 cup of nuts was obscene.

I'll definitely be back here as much as possible, loved the new location, loved the service.

Once again Franklin Bar is a Philly staple.

I celebrated my birthday here with their bottomless brunch and it was absolutely amazing. All of the food was delicious and the drinks were great and strong. Cheryl was our waitress and she was absolutely amazing! She kept our drink coming and was so attentive. If you ever come here, please request her. She’s the absolute best. Will definitely be returning!

Update on 2/3/24:

This was my second time at Morea. I really enjoyed the food and craft cocktails the last time I was there and they didn't disappoint this time either.

It was the day of Restaurant Week and I thought it would be full at 1pm on a Sunny Saturday; however, it was quite empty. When we arrived for our reservation there were a few people at the bar and no one seated in the dining room. That was a big change from my previous visit. The decor and ambiance are still very inviting.

The Restaurant Menu wasn't extremely exciting, so we ordered from their Brunch menu.

What We Ate:

🍄 Mushroom Flatbread 5/5
🦐🦀🥬 Morea Seafood Salad 5/5
🌯🥓 Breakfast Burrito w/side of bacon 5/5
🍹Morea Colada 5/5

I would highly recommend for the 2nd time, stopping through!

Cheers 🥂

4/5/22:

Morea was an excellent choice! The Brunch menu has a lot of great foods to sample, you'll have to plan for a repeat visit. The cocktail menu has tasty and unique offerings. The Cafe Diablo was my favorite followed by the Rhu Tang Sour.

The entire staff was friendly and accomdating. Matt was our waiter and he was the BEST!! I would highly recommend treating yourself and trying out Morea! 😃

I had a blast here on the local comedy improv night. Over 20 local tricksters and comedians organized to perform and make you laugh on Thursdays. Beer and liquor , dual bars up and down and DJ it seems on most nights downstairs. Games like beer pong and jenga and more.
Very cool three level bar with a library theme. Menus are in books and decor is fun. We had the when in drag, coco loco, we three queens and all my lovers. All very unique and tasty drinks
