Our daughter was seen in one of the outpatient departments of the hospital, quite quickly, which is admirable taking into account the pressure the NHS is under these days. Thank you for your hard work.
I am deeply disappointed with the service at JR Hospital. We arrived in an ambulance, escorted by the police, after a serious incident. One friend had a head injury that was bleeding continuously, while another had severe bruising all over the face. Despite the urgency, we were left waiting for over four hours without receiving any medical attention. No one showed up to provide treatment, even as my friend’s bleeding worsened. We were forced to leave and deal with the injuries ourselves. This level of negligence in an emergency situation is unacceptable and incredibly frustrating.

Thank you to the wonderful breast and oncology team for treating me with care, patience and dignity today. I was scared but your honesty and love made me feel at ease. Thank you !
On Tuesday 23rd Sept. I arrived at JR @ A&E around at 06:50AM. I was seen by a Nurse at 7.00AM. I was given a series of checks between 0747-0930AM. The GP I saw was excellent very knowledgeable, personable and answered all my questions. I was kept well informed throughout my visit by the medical staff I met. I was very impressed by the thorough nature of the checks they undertook and left with a really good impression of all the staff at the hospital. Thank you.

Just felt I had to praise Dr Richard Turner and Jasmine for helping me through my procedure. They were both amazing throughout and I had one of the best experiences of hospital outpatients ever.
Thank you both so much, the NHS need more like you
Dr Ed Norris Cervetto and the A&E team could not have been more sympathetic, caring and professional when assessing my 96 year old mother. No complaints at all, an example of what the NHS does best
My sisters and I visited my uncle in hospital and all the ward staff were friendly and helped get my 88 year old uncle into a wheelchair so that we could take him to the hospital cafe and the hospital garden. Sarah in the cafe was so caring and helpful. Also was her colleauge, porter manager, who took him down. I can't thank them enough, especially Sarah. My uncle was delighted to get into the cafe and outside in fresh air too. Wonderful caring staff. Thank you! Xx

I have just finished my 15 radiotherapy appointments. Every member of staff who dealt with me was caring, knowledgeable and professional. In my opinion The Churchill is a wonderful hospital.
Amazing staff because each time I have visited with my Mum or Dad these guys do everything they can to help.

Absolutely amazing people. I cannot thank you enough for how much you have looked after my Mum and Dad when they needed it. Thank you.

My only criticism is the darn parking - not enough spaces.

2 hour procedure under GA and overnight stay. Excellent care by all staff from the nurses who looked after me during day and night as well as all the team who operate, including prep and post. Only downside is the car park which is very limited. Would happily have another procedure here based on this care.

Good luck trying to get an appointment. I’ve wasted nearly two weeks of my time being passed around (4 calls with the contact centre who offered an appointment when I told them I’d be on holiday). Looks like the earliest I might see someone is mid May or June. I was treated at the Manor 15 years ago and it was brilliant. A shame the administration is so poor.
Doctors are good. Reception on the phone is really bad. Don't know the answers. Transfer to another department, that department doesn't pick up, the line is cut off. What's the point is even calling?

I called this clinic because I was in need of an urgent appointment for a medical screening. I called them 7 times, managed to get passed around through several departments and after several minutes waiting what happened to me, every time, was that the call got disconnected. Like, who is handling this show? Why is it so bad?
The treatment and service from the dedicated nursing staff is faultless.
The post covid system of distributing the patient lists between our hospitals in the area was a very sensible and practical idea that has boosted the proficiency and quality of the care and services.
Eternally thankful for our NHS

Had a colonoscopy at The Manor Hospital on 2nd January. I have never felt so comfortable and cared for! Every single member of staff I met from the nurses to the consultant were beyond lovely and sweet. I suffer with anxiety as do a lot of people, and to find people like this who put you at ease is wonderful. Couldn’t praise them enough. Didn’t think I’d be literally laughing my way through a colonoscopy but that’s where I ended up! 🤙🏼

Outpatient bookings could not be worse. Impossible to get through to anyone. You wait on the phone and then they say everyone is busy and the line goes dead. I called my insurance company to keeping harassing them and eventually they called and said they would send a test kit in the post. They sent it through and there were no instructions on what to do with it or where to take it. Complete joke. It would be funny if I wasn't in pain waiting for treatment.
Manor Hospital has the worst admin I have ever encountered. I tried to get a private MRI as my local hospital gave me a long wait and I am in pain. Manor Hospital completely failed to find the referral sent to them by a nearby hospital that they said they often have referrals from. They don't answer their phones at all. I can't comment on their clinical work as I never got that far. My advice is don't bother, find another hospital, it's not worth the agony.

Once you get past booking everything functions a lot better. Had my MRI and have been booked into surgery relatively quickly. The nurses are great.

Old review: Trying to get a price request for an MRI and surgery and heard nothing.

Called to try booking the MRI and was told they needed to go to bookings to check. No time frame whatsoever.

My consultant was great so I am seeing if he works for any other hospitals as I am fed up of waiting.

You would think private they would care for the money but obviously not.
I was only admitted last night, so I may need to update this at a later date. But as yet, the hospital is clean, tidy, new-ish, well run, nice food, large rooms and bathrooms, great big windows in the room - so loads of natural light, free WiFi, comfy beds, polite/knowledge doctors, great nurses, and helpful HCAs.

One thing that does worry me a little, is the fact that a lot of the HCAs and nurses, are recruited from places such as SE Asia, Africa, and the Pacific. Now this isn't a problem, until it comes to patients and staff talking to one another and trying to understand what each other is saying. I'm saying this with hint of humour, as I love meeting people from different cultures. But, it does honestly get trying when having to continually having to repeat ones self, or asking a member of NHS staff too. Surely, all it needs, is for spoken English skills to be higher up the recruitment requirements?

After all, I'd hate to leave here without my left arm, when all I came for is to have it set in a cast h for example! 🤣

So far, I'm very impressed! 👍
I like the night. Without the dark, we'd never see the stars.
