Two recent visits: one for scheduled gallbladder surgery with Dr. Kealey. The surgery was more involved than predicted (gallbladder, perforated bowel, hernia attached to my belly button and ulcers throughout the area); however, Dr. Kealey's amazing skills along with those of the entire surgical team were tremendously to my favour. Every doctor, technician, all the 7 Floor Centre nurses, initial administration, pre-op nurse, Sawhli were friendly and professional. Special thanks to my nurses: Rachel, Lauren, Holly and my fantastic night nurse, Harpreet! The cleaners, food service prep and delivery personnel were all terrific. Kind thanks to everyone who assisted me in any way. I truly appreciate your dedication to your very demanding vocations.
Most recently, my husband had to transport me to the ER at OTMH the late evening of 28/03/24. I was attended to immediately at 23:00, administration, triage and transfer to ER patient area was completed by friendly, helpful and professional health care staff. In the main ER area, we were attended to promptly, received regular monitoring of my vitals throughout the night, at 03:00 I received an X-ray from a very pleasant and dedicated young male technician. Dr. Hermann attended to me shortly thereafter with a thorough explanation of her analysis. I then received an Ultrasound administered by a thoughtful young female technician. The regular monitoring of my vitals continued upon our return to ER. Dr. Hermann discussed further medical steps following the Ultrasound results. She arranged an appointment with an Orthopedic Surgeon at OTMH - arranged for next week. Dr. Hermann gave my husband a prescription for two medications and one for a walker for me. She explained in detail an IV medication that was being administered to me before my return home. She was aware that I have always been reluctant to take any strong meds - the odd Advil for a headache. Dr. Hermann was compassionate and thorough which my husband and I both truly appreciated. Marissa, one of the many friendly and professional nurses assisting me, pushed my wheelchair to the exit doors and helped my husband maneover me into our car. To all the staff, administration, nurses, technicians, the cleaning staff who we noted were constantly cleaning, and we appreciated the cleanliness of the washrooms, we cannot thank you all enough for your outstanding dedication to your vocations. Dr. Hermann, again, your caring and professionalism were truly cherished by both my husband and me. Our experience with Halton Healthcare began in 1992 with our personal physicians, Dr. Sol Stern and Dr. Satpal Girgla, both are amazing doctors and phenomenal people!

I recently had a visit to the Emergency Department ( all good). I am giving a 1-star rating for the high parking parking rates. $8.50/hr vs $7.50/hr at Credit Valley Hospital.

Seems to be systemic I don’t care in the administration, preop nursing induced trams with 6 tries to draw blood, running the need through nerves causing permanent damage. Not a good experience at all. Seriously poor management!

Lab clinic for blood is posted to be open until 12 pm in fact at 11:45am lights are turned off and you will be turned away. There should be a buffer for patients that come in before the time posted. Or post until 11:45

Very poor management; the majority of doctors and mangers are ignorant with poor experience or skill, which brought fatality to our father. They can't cure anything. Try to stay away from such a bad medical system and Medicare.

one of the foolish staff. I am wait in Zone C waiting area from last 4 hours. My boy in extreme pain but they didn’t even look at my boi at once.

I broke my wrist in Feb 2016, the care and professionalism was amazing on first visit to ER and all follow up visits. The medical imaging staff are super and Dale set my cast so perfectly my bone healed beautifully. Great team!!!
