I love this place. They treated me and my family with the highest of respects and they watched over my 3 nephews and niece till I got there from Hamilton. They provide WAY more then I thought they would and everything we need was right the with no arguments, no attitudes or dirty looks they were the best and my heart is full of love for the nurses, doctors, surgeons, cleaners, laundry, reception JUST Everyone and I can't thank them enough

I have just attended the Eye Dept for a scheduled appt & was impressed with the kindness & professionalism demonstrated by all staff I had dealings with & observed.

Thanks for looking after me and my eyes for the past 12 months, fabulous friendly caring team at the eye clinic and surgical wards. I have been better looked after by the public hospital than I was by private specialist , and can see better than ever 🙂

I'm on the 4th floor, I have been for nearly 3 weeks already. I went in for a 90 minute operation and it ended up being 7 hours, so pretty sick All the staff have been awesomethis time, apart from one grumpy night nurse, I give back what she gives me,
but a nurse aide Stands out called lauree she is wonderful goes over and above her job A++++ thank you

Waited over 6 hours in an empty ER and didn’t even get seen

The local doctor office, waiting room was empty. Taken my sick son into the local doctor just to be told that the empty waiting room was busy. If it's that bad take him to the ER. luckily he is not dying 3 hours in ER and waiting. Great health care system. 👎🙁

Waited 3 hrs with abdominal pains and still havnt been seen while sitting in agony do what r the doctors and nurses doing well good to know they r only gasbagging to each other about non work related issues finally seen at 3hrs

You hear some horror stories from some folks and their dealings with Public Health suppliers, but story isn't one of those. I came away feeling very impressed with all the people I had dealings with while I was held captive at Dunedin for exploratory testing for a heart condition. All the way through my stay (visit) in Ward 7c I was mightily impressed with the caliber of friendliness and professionalism of the crew working there. From the nursing staff, orderly's and 'judge, jury and executioner' surgeon I wish to extend my warmest regards to you all for your efforts on my behalf. It also helps when you've got great room mates....... Cheers Rex
