Earlier this summer I was in search of a family photographer in the Berkshires. I was connected to Karen Wise who took beautiful family photos. She's based out of both the Berkshires and Brooklyn and we couldn't be happier with the results. She's kind, communicative, and I highly recommend her.

Justine is amazing! We’ve done 3 different shoots with her over 6+ years and couldn’t be happier with every aspect of the process. Not only does Justine take gorgeous photos, she also thoughtfully engages each of our children to make for a fun photo shoot that captures their personalities.

Justine makes the photo selection process a breeze, helping to design a whole book or even a selection of photos. She’s willing to meet in person or over zoom to go over minor changes (layouts, touchups, orientation, or Black and white to color switches, etc.).

Great experience on our wedding day in NYC. Delighted we chose Karen to take our pics. She was very responsive in advance and offered guidance where needed. She was very relaxed on the day and took amazing pictures throughout... capturing all the classic posed pictures as well as some nice relaxed, more natural pictures too.

Went for a passport picture last minute, and I was done in less than 10 minutes with one digital and two hard copies. Very reasonable prices and very efficient establishment.

While Karen made it appear effortless; it takes tremendous skill to capture each member of our family all together for a natural and happy portrait. We were blown away all of our photos. All our photos are heartwarming and the quality of the images are superb!

I’m so so happy that Karen was referred to me to take our family photographs! To start off with – the photos she took are Wonderful. She sent along an amazing variety of shots - it made me so happy to have so many great ones to choose from. I’m very particular about certain angles working better for me than others in photos, and Karen was extremely accommodating in helping me present myself in a way I felt comfortable without making a big deal about it. We all are looking our best in the photos she delivered, thanks to some magic of staging/lighting/composition that Karen had (I don’t know much about photography), but we also look like US. We look comfortable, happy, and Karen captured a variety of moods – sweet photos, funny photos, etc – in a variety of settings. For photos this good, I’m amazed at how low-key the session was! It only took a little over an hour, and included photos at three locations in our neighborhood. The whole vibe was extremely casual and chill - Karen was easy to be with, and was great with our one-year-old daughter. Leading up to the shoot, she responded to all my communications quickly (including looking at photos of possible outfits for my young daughter and giving me advice on which ones might photograph well), and on the day of the shoot she arrived promptly with all her own equipment which she set up quickly. We had such a good experience with Karen, we’re definitely planning on making family photos an annual tradition.

Justine has a fantastic eye that is able to find and capture the essence of a family. She portrays people, families, and the emotions between them beautifully. We used Justine Cooper back in 2016 for a family photo session and the images from that shoot remain as some of my personal favorites. Recently, I contacted Justine for replacement images of that 2016 shoot. (I lost downloaded images in a hard drive malfunction and I needed images from 2016 for my daughter's elementary school yearbook.) Justine reposted the album within minutes of receiving my inquiry and I was able to find the perfect "kindergarten" image of my daughter. Justine also re-sent me the assets I'd lost to download again. Her customer service is exceptional and I'm deeply grateful for how much she helped someone whom she hasn't worked with in six years! (Worth noting, we would have continued to work with Justine but we moved out of the area.)

We are so excited we got to work with Karen! She took beautiful photos of our wedding and managed to put us completely at ease throughout the day. A miracle! She seemed to be able to magically find the unique qualities of us as a couple and to capture those in her photos. Our photos feel very personal and special and really capture the day! We definitely felt like we were in good hands through the entire planning process with Karen as well. She is a consummate professional. We highly recommend!

Karen took my engagement and wedding photos, and both will be keepsakes I will treasure daily for the rest of my life. Before the wedding, Karen helped me create the perfect shot list that made me feel like I could actually enjoy my wedding day and wouldn't get pulled away from the fun for a million unnecessary photos (and the plan really worked!). Karen has such versatile skills! For example, she shot both film and digital throughout my wedding day, and she was wonderful with posed as well as candid photos. So many of my guests told me after the wedding that Karen (and her second photographer!) was super friendly and they enjoyed being photographed by her. I loved spending the day with Karen, she made me and my wedding party feel very comfortable in front of the camera. It's been about a month since I've had my photos back, but I still have friends texting me their favorite photos of themselves and other guests and saying how amazing and beautiful the photos are. Also, Karen has been featured in prestigious magazines and blogs, so you know you're with a super talented professional.

Justine has taken our family portraits for the past 3 years and I’m always impressed with both the results and the experience. She captures beautiful images of our 4 kids that really show their personalities. She goes above and beyond to make sure we have family portraits, individual pictures, the kids with each other, with us, etc. The combinations are endless! The work product is beautiful and it makes me really happy to go back and look at the photos from year to year. I should add that the whole experience is great. Justine is fun to be around and the kids enjoy having their photos taken!

We had a great experience with Justine! She is a true professional and great with kids. One of our biggest concerns was how our 18-month old daughter would be captured because she is an extremely busy child, but Justine was able to capture some great shots of her with the entire family looking at the camera that we can put in our living room. We also wanted shots of both our daughter and 5-year son that we could put in their respective rooms, and Justine was able to capture some pretty sweet and jubilant moments of them together!

Me and my husband got our passport pictures for total of 15 minutes. At first I thought that my picture
is a little orange, but it was from the light in the store. When I checked outside, it was fine.

Where do I begin? My siblings and I worked with Justine a decade ago where she helped us create a beautiful Mother’s Day album for our mother! My mom is not one to put photos up in our home but she has kept the album Justine made for us out on our coffee table ever since we gifted it to her ten years ago. Fast forward ten years later, I got to experience another shoot with Justine and my own little girl! The photos are breathtaking! Her work is absolutely exquisite. Vivid photo is the only photo place I use! They take photos of my children each year, make ornaments for gifts, make holiday cards, canvas prints for Mother's Day, sell frames, and recently they converted all of my old media onto a thumbdrive. The staff there is always courteous, respectful, and professional. They help me with color combinations for mattes and framing, and they design beautiful studio settings based off of the Holidays. They are the perfect place!

I got a 20 yr old home video turned into a CD and Flashdrive. It was done the next morning and I ran to get it. The quality was perfect and they are super fast with the service. Saw someone get passport pictures here too and it was done very very fast. I love live live this place and would absolutely recommend.

I just got my photos back from my mother-baby session last week and I am beyond thrilled with them! Justine was such a pleasure to work with! She was always prompt with email responses and prepared me well for the photo sessions. She clearly had tons of experience photographing children and was really great at getting my son's attention and making him smile. The locations that she chose for the sessions were great. There are tons of sweet images of me and my son with a nice mix of candid shots and posed shots. I tend to have a hard time finding images of myself that I like and Justine got so many shots and I am happy with. Highest recommendation!

Justine has taken my family photos for the past 10 years. Justine is a gem to work with and puts my children at ease, my kids actually look forward to these photo sessions. She has wonderful ideas for each shoot and every time we have photos taken I struggle to pick even my favorite 20 photos- there are so many amazing pictures to select from! Contracted JJ Sereday out of the blue, having never worked with him before, and we ended up giving him a huge project on a shoestring budget, on which he exceeded all our expectations. We hired him for a second already which he also knocked out of the park and I look fwd to using JSAYcreative in the future for many more projects!

JJ Did such an Amazing job with taking pictures of me down in Savannah. He helped me relax and feel beautiful and at ease. He was very patient with me as I took forever to get dressed and ready! Booking Karen to photograph our complete wedding journey (engagement, courthouse, ceremony in Paris) was one of the best decisions we made. I could rave about her artistic vision and eye for detail for days on end, but what I found most incredible was how much I was able to trust her. She was consistent, understanding, and incredibly attentive to our creative vision. She knew how to not only be an amazing photographer, but also a friend, in the process. And during the wedding planning / day-of, there's simply no price tag to put on having someone you can count on. It's a blessing.

I was there for an event called 'Fresh Ting Art Show' on 11/19/2017. The place was kind of hard to find because when you actually get to 1040 Metropolitan, you get redirected by a sign to go to the house with ivy right inside the parking lot.

The actual studio has a nice restroom, and great space for a group of 50 to be there comfortably. I would certainly love to use the space for anything creative.

I love WhiteBalance! I have had photo and video shootings, open rehearsals, open studios, and work meetings here. I specially like the natural light and the view of the Manhattan Skyline. This is a multipurpose artistic workspace. Highly recommended.

JJ is an extremely talented, professional and fun person to work with.

I’ve known JJ since I was four years old—which is to say, longer than I’ve known myself. We grew up together, so this review is inescapably biased. On account of that alone, I will therefore embrace the bias.

In the 25 years that I’ve known him, JJ has never done anything halfway. Since I know all his secrets (yes, all of them), I can chalk this up to his incredible parents. His drive is unmatched by anyone I’ve ever met, and it has quite a lot to do with them. I suppose that the person reading this review would want to know about JJ as a businessman. In that regard, he is a man of integrity and decency. He would never provide less than what he’s paid for, but in fact will give quite a deal more. Questions about “getting your money’s worth” are unfounded when hiring JJ Sereday. He is a professional, not a weekender hobbyist pretending to know something. Disclaimer: I also operate in the world of photography, so I know what I’m talking about too. Thankfully, in addition to being a genuine professional, he also happens to be a good person (hence the lifelong friendship).

JJ has an inexhaustible well of optimism and positivity. Even now, I don’t understand it. After years of trying to inflict a steely-eyed realism on him, I’ve officially given up. All I know is that it’s not an act. He really is like this. After you hire him, you’ll know what I’m talking about. He gives a jaded cynic like me hope. Let’s say, for instance, that you have a miserable family. Through his sheer force of willpower, positivity and good energy, he WILL give you photographs to help you pretend otherwise. Now that’s a service worth paying for!

In all seriousness, I look at a lot of photographs. On a basic level, that’s my job. Like any job, it can sometimes grow wearisome. However, JJ photographed my wedding. The results are something that I cherish, and something that I revisit for reasons other than pure nostalgia. He knows, better than anyone, that I am a private person. He has the sensitivity to know how pictures of a small, intimate family affair should look. His pictures are true to the spirit of our wedding. I can think of no better endorsement than that.

In conclusion, I’ll say that JJ has a fascination with memory. Not memories per se, but memory itself—the way memories have visual traces attached to them. For a photographer, that’s a very good trait to possess. If you choose him to make photographs of your story, I have no doubt that he’ll produce something soulful and something worthy of future reflection.

Sure JJ's photography is incredible, but this day in age - who's isn't? What really sets him apart is the experience. Every session I've had has been such a chill, comfortable time but also a lot of fun.

See, he truly cares. Not just about capturing you at your best, but about you and your life, how you are doing - not just on the surface but deep down. Ive never seen someone so excited about me and my life - his excitement is contagious. And that really comes through in his images.

We have used Justine for the past 2 years to take family photos and Justine has been wonderful to work with. We have had her shoot at our apartment and also outside in Central Park. When we first hired Justine, she came to our apartment and was very patient about letting my 1 year old daughter warm up to her. She was very accommodating with any ideas or requests we had and was very patient working with my daughter. She is very easy-going and great with kids. All of our pictures have turned out great and we always get compliments on how beautiful the photos are. Justine is also very helpful when it comes to deciding what to order once we view the photos. We have been completely satisfied with all the products we have ordered through Justine. She was not pushy about the products and was respectful about what we wanted to do. I would highly recommend Justine and plan to keep using her in the future to document our family moments.

Today, I received my daughter's bat mitzvah album in the mail. It was the culmination of a great experience working with Josh. His photos were stunning and his presence at my daughter's party was seamless. Putting together a final remembrance of the day was easy given the material we had to work with. I'd highly recommend him for your event. I've all ready booked him for daughter number 2's big day in 2016.

From the first time that we met with Josh, we knew he was the photographer for us. He is warm and personable and so talented. Joshua Zuckerman's photos allow you to completely relive your wedding every time you look at them. He is amazingly able to capture emotions and personalities - to evoke all of the wonderful feelings you have on your most special day in a still frame. It is remarkable.
