My dog was transferred to AMC from Blue Pearl as an emergency case. She needed diagnostics that Blue Pearl had neither the equipment, nor the staff to perform! My dog was very quickly stabilized at AMC, she was hospitalized for 4 days. I was updated about her condition 2x per day by a member of her medical team of 5 veterinarians. My questions were answered. Dr. Duncan, who updated me on most of the days my dog was there, was really patient, and answered every question, even when I asked it again! I was able to visit in the evening and feed her when one day she didn't eat! I was able to walk her outside, so that she would know that we were still family! My dog spent 5 months in a shelter before I took her home, so it is important that she knows that I am there! All in all, they did a great job, and all the assistants treated her very gently. She needed a new treatment plan as what we were doing wasn't enough, and she also had an acupuncture treatment, which was something I had been considering. Now that she is home and I am continuing with the medications at different times, I can really appreciate how much work goes into it. I have been lucky to have a super healthy dog, but things happen, and they get older so you have to be prepared.

I am visiting NYC and my service dog started presenting very concerning signs of a neurological problem. I brought him into the emergency and the following day he was transferred to Neurology. Once in neuro he was under the care of Dr. Muller, who I cannot praise enough!! We were all very concerned about his state at first but since being admitted he was doing better each day. I was finally able to bring him home yesterday, and although he is still not totally himself he is on the mend! This would not have been possible had it not been for the quick thinking of the doctor and the amazing care and love he was given while staying at AMC.
At first I thought this was horrible timing because we were not at home, now I believe it helped save his life. This neurology team is truly amazing.

Dr. Green and everyone at VEG were amazing in saving my baby Coppers life approximately one year ago today. My friend opened the window at my apartment and Copper fell 11 stories! Everyone at VEG was so attentive to him and did everything in their power to save him. They also kept me informed everyday as to his status/ updates until he was able to go home. One year later, Copper is living his best life, crazier than ever. I can’t thank VEG enough

Dr. Friedman was truly remarkable from start to finish. From the moment we walked in, he showed a deep understanding and boundless compassion that put both my dog and me at ease. The entire staff, from the moment you walk in until the time you leave, was incredibly nice and amazing. Their dedication and genuine care made us feel incredibly supported during a difficult time. I can’t imagine taking my dog anywhere else. VEG is the only place I trust completely, thanks to Dr. Friedman and the exceptional team there.

I’m a human doctor, for what it’s worth, and this was one of the best healthcare operations I’ve ever seen. Dr. Cha and Theresa were exceptional. I was in an exam room with my cat Bernard within 30 seconds of walking through the front door. There was complete transparency in thought process and potential costs. Considering this was around midnight on Memorial Day, having this level of talent available to your pet is a true luxury, and it wasn’t appreciably more expensive than an average annual checkup with labs. Theresa showed great skill in phlebotomy and subcutaneous hydration—Bernard barely noticed the needles. My only regret is that I wish I could bring my cat to see Dr. Cha and Theresa for non-emergent visits. This urgent care gets my highest recommendation.

We went to Veterinary Emergency Group at the recommendation of our primary vet and I cannot say enough good things about our experience. I was able to stay with her the whole time, they offered me food, water, coffee, tea, and blankets/pillows/cushions, and provided amazing emotional support (I was distraught having never experienced this before with a dog). I was so impressed by the intelligence of the doctors and technicians. I’m so thankful for their compassion towards Rory.

Excellent animal hospital! I feel fortunate to live just a quick trip over the bridge to AMC. Over several decades and many pets, whenever we've had an emergency or needed to see a specialist we've gone to AMC. We've always received great care and the staff has been consistently fantastic.

Wait times can be long in the ER but just like in human hospitals, everyone is assessed and the most critical must be seen first so, while it can be tough to wait with a sick or injured pet, it's also understandable.

I came in here to the ER in April 2023, with my 15yo Jack Russell. He had a big belly tumor and was losing blood and looked close to dying.

The doctor who saw us, I forgot her name, was very gentle and yet very clear in our options.
I appreciated the clarity of options SO much.

She also gave him some herbal supplements for the bleeding but his prognosis wasn't good, like a few weeks.

I continued giving him the supplements, yunnan bayau, and the bleeding stopped within 2 days and his energy picked up.

He ended up living well until December 2023, which was WAY past what I thought he'd make it.

I am SO grateful for the doctor's and hospital's care and help, and enjoyed the precious days with my pup in peace. He died in my arms the most peaceful death🩵

Saved our dog's life! Everyone was so incredibly kind and helpful. The surgery team was so skilled, the ICU team took such good care of him around the clock, the reception team was friendly and quick... even the woman who checked us in on the ground floor even referred to our pet as our baby, which was a small choice that meant a lot to us. Great communication! Doctors called us routinely with updates and explained everything really clearly to us. They very patiently answered all of our questions and were very available to us. This place is incredible! We hope we never need to go back, but if we do, we'd have total trust in them again.

My 12 year old yorkie needed emergent endoscopy for a nail that he ate. My local vet recommended endoscopy versus traditional surgery. My dog had been to AMC for a few procedures in the past and had great care.
The next morning after finding everything out, we were in the AMC waiting room.
A few hours later, he went in for surgery. I received a call from the surgeon that everything went as expected. I could not be happier.
My dog is old, and has issues with tracheal collapse. This was my greatest fear going into a surgery where he would need general anesthesia. I trusted AMC and my trust was well earned. I could not be more grateful.
Staff was wonderful too.

The entire staff is amazing. They are warm, friendly and the care that they have for the animals coming in shows tremendously. They work effectively as a team and are transparent with the pet owners on the care being provided in the moment. They were also very patient with all the questions we had. We are so happy we were recommended to this ER clinic. I don’t think we would have had this experience anywhere else or felt comfortable leaving our fur baby overnight somewhere else. So thank you everyone 😊

Can’t thank VEG team enough for giving our little guy a chance to stay alive. Dr. Tan, Dr. Hsu and the team went above and beyond to take care Billy. The office is very professionally ran. all documents and records were sent very quickly to the specialist for continuity of Billy’s treatment. We are very thankful for this office.

Feel so lucky our vet recommended VEG when our dog was seriously ill. The entire team was amazing and I was so impressed with the care they provided to our girl. They were also compassionate in a very stressful situation and willing to answer questions despite managing a lot of sick fur babies. Dr. Spector and the surgery team did a great job taking care of our boy Champ. They answered all of our questions and reassured us that Champ would do very well in recovery, which he did! They called us twice daily with updates on Champ’s progress and even called after Champ came home to see how he was doing. We are grateful to have had such a great team taking care of our boy!

I had my female dog spayed by Dr. Roswell. From my pre-spaying communication with the AMC and Primary Care staff through the surgery my experience had been nothing short than extraordinary. I never had any doubt that she would be in great care and I was not disappointed. A shout out to Jade from Primary Care with whom I had frequent telephone conversations and emails.

The people that work there are very kind and they showed lots of care for the animals, they are also very professional with their work. I brought my cat not so long ago because she got an electric shock, now she’s doing so much better and a happier since then.

My 11 year old dog Riggins has been coming to West Chelsea Vet for 6 years and they always take such amazing care of him. Dr. Chen is quite possibly the best vet that we’ve ever had and we are so grateful for her attention and care.

Can't say enough good things about Kat! She has been helping us with international travel for the last couple years and goes above and beyond to make sure everything is taken care of, and we are over prepared!! She is so organized and make the process as seamless as possible. Thank you thank you thank you Kat!!

My experience has been nothing short of amazing. Dr. Bradshaw has been one of the best Veterinarians I've encountered. She's clear and to the point, while being gentle and caring. I have a Maltese and she took great care of her and also followed up to make sure she was coming along.

The team at this veterinarian site are stellar! They are kind, efficient, knowledgeable and love animals. From scheduling the appointment, to checking in, to meeting with our vet, and post-appointment - this is one of the best vet offices we’ve been a part of. I wish I could explain it better, but their is just an atmosphere that instills confidence in the care you're about to receive and allows you to relax, drop your shoulders, unclench your jaw and be at ease. Everything from the soft exam table to the relaxed and caring nature of the staff. We didn't feel rushed or like we were being "sold" on anything. Just offered genuine counsel and options and they'd be there to support us no matter which direction we went.

Taking Oliver to his vet at awestruck Chelsea Veterinary is a reassuring experience. Front desk staff very attentive, kind and professional. Wait time usually short. Dr. FARBER, Oliver’s vet, is wonderful, l he is thorough, competent and kind.

After switching over to West Chelsea Vet, this clinic has contributed so much to my dog's overall health. They never try doing anything more than what your dog requires or try to squeeze out extra $$ from you. Highly recommend Dr. Farber who is the kindest and most understanding vet for your dog. You guys are all amazing and thank you and all your staff for taking care of my Louie!
