All of the ladies at the front desk make you feel so relaxed and calm when you arrive. Dr. K, is one of the best vets out there. I am so grateful to them all for taking such impeccable care of all my babies. Thank you.

I was just referred to Los Alamitos animal hospital from a friend. I saw Dr K. Great vet and all staff were super friendly. I had a great experience. I will be going there from now on.

Sparky Edwards was the oldest patient of Dr K with dogs he lived until 21 he pass on 4/7/24 at home in his bed around his love ones..Dr K and his staff are amazing. We miss our Son so much in these pictures is Sparky Niece Nezzi she is 4yrs old Nezzi is.Dr K other patient who will walk into her Uncle Sparky footsteps "From Sparky a shout out to Laci n Jill."..Thank You...

The staff was super friendly and welcoming. They all greeted my new puppy and took the take to talk to me. Genuinely felt welcomed to their hospital.

Not at all impressed. I came here because they have good reviews but clearly you cannot rely on them. They could be paid for. I brought my dog here and was just rushed the whole time. Was told I cannot be with my dog while they draw her blood. Was told by Dr K I would get a call the next day about a supplement I had asked about. No call. I’ve have to call a few times to get ahold of someone. Very short when I talked to front desk on the phone. This place is just about business and lack quite a bit. I will happily spend my money elsewhere where I feel my dog is properly cared for.

I’ve used Seal Beach Animal Hospital over the last year. 10/10 would recommend. Almost always available for immediate non-emergent appointments! Clean. Staff is friendly. We had to use their end of life services for our senior cat, though it was a really hard time for us, the staff was amazing and gave the best care we could have asked for.

They always have time for animals and always explain what's going on! Vets and techs are caring and kind. We've never had a bad experience (even the cats agree)!

"I took Cooper for his annual exam today, and Shabu was there to support him. It was quite chaotic, but we got through it with a few laughs. I've been going to this veterinary clinic for almost five years, and the staff is always lovely and helpful. Even during COVID-19, they have implemented a great system where they take your pet from the back of your car and bring them back to you. It's so convenient! Today, I met Dr. Rikki Alley, and she was wonderful. The staff is great, and parking is easy. That's why I give them five stars.”

Wonderful staff, very helpful & friendly. When I had a horrible experience at nearby Little Cottonwood Animal Hospital, this Los Alamitos Animal hospital staff was very helpful, professional & knowledgeable, helping to understand proper domestic travel/vaccines needed for my beloved pet. Great job team & thank you for going above & beyond.

I trust this vets office far more than others I’ve tried. Advice seems to genuinely be about what is best for my dog rather than others that seem to advise whatever makes the most money. My dog also loves them here.

Your pets last day is always hard and our vet was not there for us. It was my boys time today (over 15 years) and my mom recommended I call here and they were truly what we needed. Sympathetic and understanding. Thank you to the team here, we appreciate everything.

We love taking our dogs to Dr. Hooykaas. He takes time to listen and answer questions, but most importantly he makes the time bond with pets during their visit. Highly recommend!

Banfield pet Hospital of Seal Beach is like my extended family! They are always very busy and seeing a lot of animals especially since the pandemic but even though that is the case every time that I bring my little Shiloh in they are loving, caring, and give him the best care which I appreciate so much! THE ABSOLUTE WORST!!!!!
They terrorized my little 8 lb. Chihuahua and claimed she bit one of the techs. My dog has never bitten anyone before, and was very nervous because they do not allow the owner to be there with the pet during the shots or other treatments. Then they claimed they had called animal control because my dog was not current on shots, then refused to give my dog the shots she was there to receive.
They refused to let me know what happened that caused my dog to bite. They refused to give me my dogs medical history so I could move to a different vet. They refused to offer any explanation or advice on what happens after someone calls animal control on your dog.
If anyone has had this happen to them before and know what the steps are, please contact me. The way they said "Animal control will have to decide what happens next" seemed very ominous, but they wouldn't explain any further.

After about of month, I have only received one email from Banfield Corporate (who the people at Petco informed me I would be dealing with)... They told me people in the little stand at Petco had tried to reach me... I had no missed calls, no emails... These people are dishonest and untrustworthy. They still have not explained what happened with my dog, and don't seem to be willing to put any time or effort into doing so.

My dog Gumbo came in with an upset stomach. Dr Anna and Vet tech Linda diagnosed and treated him quickly. Turns out he also had kennel cough and an ear infection too. Gumbo is on the mends now. Even Brittany from the front desk popped in to check up on my dog. Everyone at Seal Beach Animal Hospital truly loves animals. Highly recommend this vet!

I started taking my dogs here about 2 years ago. My dog had a lump on her chest that I believed was a tumor, my previous vet had done a fine needle aspiration and told me that it was not cancerous. I wanted a second opinion so I brought her here after reading an article online about how great the vets here were. It turned out it was cancerous, the vets did test to insure she was ready for surgery and ended up finding a heart murmur as well that my old vet did not catch. Her surgery went great and they called me to check up on her frequently. Her tumor was late stage and they didn’t know if it would spread. I believe that they did an amazing job removing it because she has not had any issues with it since. This was almost two years ago. Since then she has had dental surgery which also went very well. The doctors here are minimal with testing and will not run up a huge bill with unnecessary tests or treatments. They recommend what is necessary at that time and give you information to make your own informed decisions. They will not try to pressure you into anything the way most vets do. They have excellent bedside manner and always make me feel as comfortable and confident as possible when my dogs are not feeling well unlike some vets that I feel try to scare you into treatments sometimes. Since switching to this vet I have never had to go to an emergency vet. Every time i need to bring my senior dog in they manage to squeeze me in, I am so grateful to them. All of their staff are extremely kind. I absolutely love this vet and will never go anywhere else. Thank you to everyone at seal beach animal hospital, me and panda are forever grateful to you 💜

Los Alamitos Animal Hospital has been wonderful to work with for our senior dog. I’m so glad to have found such a caring team of professionals so close to home. They have been very accommodating in getting my dogs in quickly and giving them great care. They are all very attentive to their needs and thorough with their examinations.

People who complain about not being able to see a Vet when they walk up must not be familiar with medicine. I work at Banfield. Banfield is not an urgent care/ER and the staff is scheduled according to the scheduled appointments. Our priority are the pets that are under our care and we are happy to schedule an appointment on another day for any pet that needs one. Banfield has over 900 locations and many of them will see pets without having you dropping them off. I work at Orange Banfield and we are one of them. Give us a call - we are happy to help.

They're very informative and answered all my questions. Highly recommend their pet wellness plan if you take your pets regularly. Saves a lot of money which I like to hear! Be prepared to leave your pet for most of the day since it's "drop off only" atm. Also thanks to Haylee who was in the front!

After speaking to Haley at this location I felt our initial screen for the right Banfield was found but I was SO WRONG!!!!
Our 1st appointment for my 2 pups was today and upon calling the office to notify them we were running a few minutes late our appointment was denied saying 10 minutes was too far past the appointment to allow our pups to receive their shots. (THIS WAS A 2 HOUR DROP OFF, THEY WERE KEEPING THE DOGS FOR...)
Upon reinforcing to Brian this call was to inform them we could be late as traffic was heavy and we should not be more then 5 minutes he agreed to allow them to attend and hung up with no further comments or goodbye.
Since Brian hung up on me I dexided I needed to verify the appointment was not cancelled. Upon calling back Felisha answered and confirmed they could still attend their appointment.
Upon arriving the encounter is as follows in the video....
Both dogs sat as we waited for at least 1 of the 2 office personnel to check us in. (Both proceeded with the check-in of a cat, which took 10 minutes). This officially would have put us 10 minutes late for the appointment. Rather than acknowledge us these 2 ladies went to the back and Brian came out refusing our pups.
After reading recent reviews of this facility I am not one bit surprised of the poor service. I believe this facility would have killed my dogs had they have cared for them. I do NOT TRUST this office or its staff and HIGHLY URGE others to not take their pets here!!!!

I really used to like this vet but it has unfortunately taken a turn. Every time I have to "drop off" my dog I never know when I will be able to pick her up. I understand things have gotten complicated due to COVID-19 but absolutely no excuse for keeping my dog from 8am-5pm for a 15 minute visit. I call many times throughout the day to check in and see if there is an update and more than half the time no one answers the phone until the fifth or sixth time I call and when they do answer there is never an update. The answer is always "Well we aren't sure because (Insert new excuse here)" This did not only happen once! My dog needed to see a surgeon and they said that the surgeon would be in at 12pm and it shouldn't take longer than an hour (which is already way to long considering it is just a consult with no X-Rays or anything), my husband dropped her off at 12pm. When he got there they then told him "The surgeon had an emergency surgery this morning and she is not in yet. It should be an hour or two." Why wouldn't the vet call and let ALL patients that have an appointment with the surgeon know that this has happened and offer to reschedule due to causing a possible inconvenience for their patients? My husband waited for an hour and a half with no update at all. I called and they said the SAME THING TO ME and quoted an hour to two hours from when I called! I was furious!!! This is absolute poor customer service and we will not be back to this Banfield again. I do not like the uncertainty of what my schedule will be if I have a vet visit for my dog, they are completely unreliable with information and scheduling and my dog should not EVER need to stay in a veterinary office for longer than an hour wait for only at most a 15 minute visit. I feel like my dog is just another patient and they do not care about my time or how my dog is cooped up in a cage most likely all day for hours and hours. She needs to get fresh air and be home where she has her toys and is comfortable. I think it is careless, rude and ridiculous. Get a schedule going that you can stick to. Guaranteed you will lose more patients due to this nonsense and carelessness.
