Very helpful and friendly. Brought an Eastern Milksnake in that they will overwinter until it can be released in warmer temperatures. You even get a patient number so you can check in on the critters you bring in for care. Highly recommend! ❤️

I volunteered here in the Wildlife Care department for 2+ years and I absolutely miss being here! It is the most rewarding feeling to be able to assist in the rehabilitation of sick, injured, and/or orphaned wildlife. The work they do here is absolutely amazing and I have the utmost respect for everyone who works and volunteers here. It is a beautiful thing when you see a fantastic team of people working together to take the very best care of these beautiful, innocent animals. I have only the best things to say about TWC and their entire staff.
I have rescued a few animals and brought them here to be taken care of. I highly recommend that if you see an injured animal you call in to their call centre right away and find out how to deal with the situation and bring the animals in for treatment. It is the right thing to do!

I found a baby squirrel in my backyard. I phoned the city where I lived asking what to do.....they were no help at all! I knew not to touch it and watched it all day. Clicked on this website and it was so much more helpful. Poor thing had been out all day, Mom didn't come so as the website said we brought it inside for the night., kept it warm with a towel in a box. Took it back out this morning, it was very lively. Played the distress call and the baby started doing the same. Have been checking and can't see it so hopefully mom came. All I can say is thank you so much for the helpful info on your site!

It's pretty impressive that there is a place in the city that rehabilitates pigeons. A pigeon who was burned in a bridge fire, recuperating for 6 months. And amazing dedicated staff on a holiday morning working away quietly looking after wild animals, birds, squirrels. Yes, even squirrels get health care in Canada.
Too bad they're moving, the building to be torn down. Moving to Markham, way, easy out there, much harder to get to.
Small place, but nice to visit. Say hello, and commend the folks for the work they do.

We discovered a mother skunk and five babies living under our deck at our back door. i looked up what to do and found this site. We let her raise her babies until they were ready to leave…no problems. It was an amazing experience every time we caught sight of the mother tesching her babies how to live as skunks. They all moved out except one. He realised we ran a morning restaurant for an abandoned feral cat. He had to go. Back to this site i went for advice….we purchased a small lantern and placed it near an entry hole. do We thought he’d move out in a couple days….he packed up and was gone in 30 seconds never to be seen again. My cleaning lady also had a skunk (miles away…not mine) and used the lantern as a humane deterrent. Skunk problem solved. Thanks for the info

I found two baby pigeons in a cardboard box in the parking lot, clearly taken off someone’s balcony and left to die. After I got them into a clean, warm, safe space, I left a message with TWC and they called me back in less than two hours to get more information and ask for photos and videos. I was so happy when they told me they could take the babies in! I just had to get them there the next morning. Couldn’t believe they took pigeons!! The staff were prepared for their arrival and walked us through what their next month or so would be like and provided me with their ID numbers so I could call for updates on them. So thankful those cuties will be well cared for until they’re big enough to fly off. Thank you SO much to everyone at TWC!!🐦❤️🐦

Absolutely fantastic.

They cared for months for a severely injured pigeon I found. It was amazing to hear all the updates of him slowly recovering, even when nobody knew if he would be able to make it, and seeing how much will to live that little guy had. Thanks to all who cared for him.
