If you’re a big fan of ice cream or fresh milk, or you have kids who love visiting to see animals (cows and sheep), then Birchwood Dairy Farm is a must visit. Lots of parking on site and once you grab an ice cream cone or cup, you can wander around the grounds and visit the maternity calf barn, the petting zoo, and even view cows getting milked (at certain hours in the day). It’s a good place to stop and stretch your legs and spend an hour of time exploring the place.
A nice stop when you are in Abbotsford. Their staffs are all friendly and they have a wide selection of ice cream flavors. We had the chocolate, chocolate chip cookie dough, blueberry cheesecake, and caramel pecan fudge - all are highly recommended!
Very long line but great selection of flavours - got the tiger tail and rootbeer . Great licorice and orange flavours in the tiger tail that remind me of my childhood and root beer tastes exactly like the drink 😋 was a very warm and sunny day when we visited so I was relieved to see a lot of tree shaded areas to take cover under. Cute sheep at the back entertained and distracted my dog while I enjoyed my ice cream in peace lol

It was a great stop for a road trip, their ice cream was delicious. It was uneasy to finish 1 scoop as it's so big. You can enjoy your ice cream in the nice playground and pet the animals. Kids would love it! There's room for improvement in the washroom though.
Friendly staff. It was a great experience if you want to see how a dairy barn works! Our free self tour included watching cows being milked, seeing sheep, and visiting calves. (Who were quite friendly and loved scratches)
We got parogies, sausage, and milk to take home for a homecooked meal. And their ice cream was great!
The calves were a therapy of their own. I'm so glad we happened to pass this place!!

Cute little farm by Abbotsford that allows you to get a behind-the-scenes look at a dairy farm. Great experience for kids (and even adults) to learn about cows and dairy farming. If you want the full experience, come when it isn’t raining or soggy outdoors as there’s apparently a portion of the tour where it can get a bit muddy. If it is raining, you can opt for just the main four of the dairy farm barn with the cows.

There’s a free small petting zoo on-site as well. You can feed some of the animals too by heading into the main building and buying a small bag of feed. Take note of the signs about which animals you can and can’t feed.

Outstanding experience with different farm animals, especially cows. My grandson was stunned as we fed the animals and could touch them.

Disgusting use of force with completely compliant animals.
The best ice cream in town. So many lovely flavours to pick from all so creamy and the ladies were friendly. It was worth the drive.

Super fun! We saw a little calf just born for 20 min 🥹. She was trying so hard to stand up with Mama’s help.

Btw the ice cream is a must-try. Raspberry cheesecake is the most popular flavor. It’s super creamy with fresh milk taste!

Have you read about this place on social media. I had to give 1 star so I could write a review. The employees at this place are abusing the animals. Google this place - its vile and needs shutting down. They are all monsters. Video evidence on social media.

We went for the 2nd year in a row to see a Bard In The Valley performance here. What a venue!
A beautiful backdrop to the stage with the sheep, cows, chickens and goats adding their own lines to the play!
There is a bit of confusion about the name as they make the transition from EcoDairy to Bakerview Farms. We heard that people had a hard time locating the venue.
There is a farm market on site that had closed by the time we arrived, and a very popular ice cream stand is presumably made with dairy from the resident cows.
Set in a welcoming atmosphere, this milk factory is an ideal destination for families with children. With its focus on providing engaging tours, kids can have a blast while learning about the milk production process. It's an educational yet enjoyable outing that allows them to witness firsthand how milk is transformed into an array of dairy products.

But the excitement doesn't end there. The factory boasts an impressive selection of ice cream flavors, making it a delightful paradise for ice cream enthusiasts of all ages. From classic favorites to unique and adventurous choices, there's an ice cream flavor to please every taste bud.

As parents or guardians guide their little ones through the tour, the chance to indulge in scrumptious ice cream treats becomes an additional highlight of the experience. The joy of exploring the factory and sampling various flavors creates lasting memories that the whole family can cherish.

Whether you're seeking an enriching educational journey or simply a fun-filled day with loved ones, this kid-friendly milk factory, brimming with an array of delectable ice cream options, guarantees an unforgettable and enjoyable visit for everyone.

Awesome place, very informative. This was our second time going and it only gets better each time. Cows were friendly and so were the calves. Beef cows were inquisitive and friendly as well.
terrible attitude towards animals and people, I highly do not recommend this place both for work and for products

if you want to have the illusion that you will meet great people and a nice place, this is the place to be

Their display of ethics toward their animals are an absolute disgrace to human kind. This please needs to be shut down immediately and anyone who works there and owns the place needs to pay the consequences of their actions and need to be locked up immediately
how can you sleep at night knowing how badly you treat animals?! UNBELIEVABLE! i hope this place gets shut down and the animals go into a more loving place. you guys should be ashamed of yourselves!!
The unnecessary cruelty with which you treat the animals that you exploit for your own economic sustenance is disgusting, you represent human perversity.
These people need to be shut down. Shame on the dairy foundation.
Shut them down. Stop eating dairy. When you think about it drinking cow's milk is gross. I mean no one would drink pig milk or dog milk. Oat milk is so much better and no cow's were hurt.
Let's shut this business down.
Absolutely terrible establishment, their abuse towards animals and the people who work there are completely unacceptable, action will be taken to those held accountable.

Who is the Abbotsford area are willing to be human shields for these cows and disarm the humans? There should be human protectors at this dairy farm for the next year to assure and secure real change. Bearing witness changes these behaviours.
Garbage people. Garbage service.

My friend and I went on their farm tour, it was super fun and interactive! We got to feed the cows and see the process of how the milk is produced, also got to feed some of the animals in the petting zoo! The staff were amazing and very informative.

They also have a really big picnic area and u-pick during the summer months!

Highly recommend for children and adults! I'm almost 30 and had a blast!

April was very knowledgeable and a great guide. Was able to answer all questions. It was fun learning about dairy farms through the tour. Great experience for kids, with lots of infographics and interactive things in the beginning Discovery section.
Would advise to come at least 15-20 mins before the tour starts, to spend some time in the Discovery section (it's like a mini science world exhibit).
When it's hot outside, the animals sit in the shade.
Free wifi available with password from the front desk.
Would recommend to come at least once, because you do get to learn and see some interesting cows and machines.

What a great experience!!! Lots to learn and see. Highly recommend stopping in here and taking the tour! Make sure to venture into the back and see the other animals! All the animals on site are awesome! Goats on the roof!!
The family who owns this dairy farm take great pride in raising happy, content cows. The livestock are well cared for, have plenty of space to socialize and and are well fed.
