Staff training needs to be strengthened

Just arrived at the store at 5:45pm, caring my son in my arms, came here at Assembly exclusively to go in this store, and they told me it was already closed. So annoying. Shoes are ok though.

The jewelry department treated them very poorly and did not respect the customer. The return rules were not given well, and when you went to them to return a piece with the receipt, it was handled in a bad way and there was no understanding of the situation even though all the pieces, the receipt and the tag but one of the tag fell behind the box.

I was trying on a winter coat and in the pocket found a heroin needle and a bunch of rubber bands. I immediately took the jacket off and dropped the needle and called a cashier over. The cashier threw the needle away and gave me hand sanitizer. The entire situation was incredibly jarring and very unsafe. Please don’t shop here.

It could be better. A lot of empty space. The one in wrentham outlets are much better.

Stephanie a was amazing and helped me with the service today I almost walked out with woman’s 13’s but she quickly rectified the situation and made sure I had the men’s shoes for the incredible deal thank her for my business or else I would not had purchased this today thank you and converse is luck to have her thank you

Mason has great customer service, is super friendly and cares about the customer. I was looking for some boots they didn’t have my size he called different stores and he was able to find what I was looking for also he let me know about some promotions that the store had and I was able to take advantage of them. My go to place for work clothes as well as casual. I almost always find something I love!

If I could give 0 star I would. Very unprofessional staff. Today I went there shopping with friends and they made us feel like thieves . One of the boxes near the place where we were trying the shoes was empty, then the manager approached us asking where did we put the shoes with a bad manner. I regret the fact that I did not call the police . Also, my friend asked them to check the cameras but they didn’t. What an unprofessional staff.! They found the shoes and they have not even apologized.

Racist clerks. It's very unpleasant. I will not go to Saks never again, not just this store. You should know that there are clothing stores all around.
I recommend NorstromRack in Boston. There are many things and they are very kind.

RUDE staff. Cashier was too busy explaining how they do not accept Mastercard to take off the security tag!

I didn’t notice until I got home luckily I took my receipt. I live far away and I’m in a wheelchair customer service and store manager offered no help. I explained it would be better for me to ship them back but no.

Every experience I’ve had at this store thus far has been awesome except my last. I purchased two pairs of sneakers and after one weekend of wear, my partners pair started peeling from the tip of the shoe. It was clearly defective. I called and spoke to a manager ( Alecia ) and she told me to bring in the shoes to take a look. She found my receipt and proceeded to grill me on how sneakers shouldn’t look like this after a week of wear. She clearly didn’t believe the fact the shoes had been worn once. Tons of attitude that was entirely not needed whatsoever. She made me beyond uncomfortable when I was told ( BY HER ) I could bring the shoes back in. She told me that this would be a one time transaction, since she’d “never accept shoes that looked like this” for an exchange. Get real. It’s a pair of sneakers, the white areas get dirty within a day if you walk outside. She never gave me my new receipt or a box. She tossed the shoes in an empty bag and called it a day. Absolutely awful customer service for something that wasn’t my fault, nor the stores. I won’t be returning lol

I come here quite often & I can't get over how friendly the staff here are. They go out of their way to welcome & greet every single customer that walks through that door with a smile. There's a manager named Emily who I absolutely adore. She remembers who you are & will stop whatever she's doing to welcome you with open arms & a smile. She's so personable with everyone & sad to say, that's rare in today's retail world. What an overall amazing personality she has & Converse is so lucky to have her. Another thing i appreciate is the fact they ask if you need any help finding something & when you say you're just browsing they give you your space to shop in peace, reminding you they'll be right there if you have any questions &/or need anything. I have yet to encounter an unfriendly employee yet. They treat you like a member of the family here so there's never an awkward moment. Another thing I appreciate is the fact this store is always so clean & organized. The selections are a little too good cause I've got a collection of Chuck 70's like no other! I very rarely leave here empty handed! 🤣 LOVE THIS PLACE!

Amazing help and customer service. Anna really helped me to get three excellent summer dresses (she helped narrow it down from 20 to 3 dresses that were on SALE and fit beautifully!!!). Very grateful

The store says it closes at 8pm. Showed up at 7:30pm to make a return and it’s closed. Would have love to know to save myself the commute from Quincy!

Great prices and the dress I saw by Theory couldn't find 1 size up, it was stylish and a nice black leather dress very soft and button down mini dress only in small. I needed a pair of shoes none to my liking for my graduation 🎓 from college next month. My friend though found some men olive stylish suede short boots in men's department I gladly would have worn something like that with my olive slacks. But nice day. Did see some lady high tops but student on student salary so I got to get my needs and not my wants. Nice high top white leather sneakers and red writing 9.5 ladies would been delightful for me. But go check out the place again I'm a student have to be thrifty. Definitely check ✔ out the place.

I went to the store Sunday April 2nd. I interacted with almost every person that was working, one helped explain a sale, if he had not I would have not known about a great deal. Other members of the store helped me at check out and someone stepped into make sure the discounts got applied correctly.

They did not need to go above and beyond, but they did!

Emily the store manager is amazing. Went above and beyond the call of duty when helping me retrieve a receipt I’d thrown away for a return. Emily went out of their way to find the receipt (which id been told I’d have to go back to the store to get a new copy of) and email it to me. In between they also left me voicemails explaining the Situation and being nothing but totally positive and helpful. Seriously cannot thank you enough!!!!!

I was running out of time to find a pair of heels and I knew I could come to Steve Madden to save me! With help I was able to find the perfect pair that went with both my outfits! Thank you!! I only wish I could've found a matching purse. Next time!

I often wonder how this place has remained in business. There are some nice brands but usually their least popular lines. Then they a few brands that make Urban Outfitters- the sale stuff (iykyk) look like good quality. I went ahead and asked for my receipt emailed and printed as one should. They usually email regardless. Went to make the return without the printout thinking I have the email so I should be fine. Turns out I didn’t have the email, meaning either I made a mistake and didn’t ask for it emailed or they forgot to email it. I checked with my wife and we were both certain I asked for it emailed. Their manager who was likely 21 took no responsibility for not emailing me the receipt and told me they need the physical receipt anyway. I pulled up an old email of mine and saw that an exact copy of receipts are sent to your email when you make the purchase. I guess he forgot or didn’t know either way how does one become a manager of a store and not know this (rhetorical). Also, I found a skateboard here for $70 that TJ Max sold for $20 and not because there was damage- there was no damage, in fact, they at least 3 of them all in good condition. Assembly sq can do so much better than this trash.

Great selection of shoes, they always have a great section of sale items. I love getting heels because my feet are super small in size 5 but sometimes pointy boot heels I can fit into a 7 1/2 depending on style of shoes. Definitely try on the shoes before you buy. Buy during the sales !!

Avoid at all costs; even entering the store was a mistake. The staff is disorganized and has no idea how to interact with customers. Everyone in the store, including the cashier, is chatting and joking around. The clothes are of poor quality, and they have a poor return policy.

When you go in you have at least 4 eyes on, and the following you around the store. I have money to buy things but went to the one at the mall were I felt more comfortable. I thought it was me but friends and family also said the same and why they don’t go there anymore also.

Nice shoes but they tend to run small. Make sure you try your foot wear from here before you buy. Why label your shoes a size 8 when they're not even a 7. Steve Madden needs to step up their game

The store had all of the popular styles, I was looking for, but I felt like the sales girls were trying to “size me up”, being condescending when I was asking questions, and showing little interest in helping me. They were more interested in their own conversation.

Employees are unclear on their own policies. I was unable to do an exchange after I explicitly asked if I could and was told yes. Management was incompetent and unable to do the simple exchange for me

Management is unorganized and disorderly. They get upset if you're doing a return and seem to be doing you a "favor" if you lost your receipt and are trying to return an item. They constantly ask if you need help and it just makes me want to leave. Store always looks a mess and is run by 14-16 year old kids.

Overall the store is bright, organized and seems welcoming. The floor and shelves could use some cleaning service...dust is accumulating in many areas.

Not covid friendly, very rude staff. The manager essentially told me that I should have broken my covid quarantine and come in when I had covid to return my items if I wanted full credit back. There was also no social distancing and the staff were just standing around complaining about previous customers. I will definitely not be returning.

In contrast, jcrew just across the street asked no questions when I returned my items and their staff were friendly and empathetic.

Interesting store to walk in! Very clean, cool, and visual friendly! I just stopped by from browsing other stores. I don’t think this place deserves a 3 star average rating since it is still new in the Boston area.

Great product selection but way too much staff lingering around asking to help! The amount of staff watching us browse made the entire visit uncomfortable and pressured.
I was trying to FaceTime my son to pick out school shirts and I felt too pressured from the amount of staff “greeting” me that I gave up and left!

One of my favorite stores in Assembly Row! Cool selection of both dress and casual shoes. Excellent customer service and quality shows that are affordable. I only wish they had more! It's hard to find stores that carry my size 13, but they seem to have a little more of a selection here for me.

I was next in line at this store for over ten minutes this afternoon. Two cashiers were handling very lengthy transactions, neither of them made eye contact with me or said they'd be with me soon. There was another woman working who could have been called over to help. Very frustrating. I had to leave without making a purchase.

Great low prices on high brand merchandise. I walked out with a 40 dollar shirt for only 24 dollars. It's funny because it has all of the stores' clothing at assembly row for half the price. I would say stop by here first when shopping at assembly, it's honestly a steal. I was skeptic as to how I can see the same shirt from the Kenneth Cole store but for half the price. People are simply misinformed and others bank on that. Well hee ya go! Now people know.

(They still hold ridiculously priced stuff here still though like 100 dollar sweatpants that I get from TJ Maxx and Marshalls for 14 dollars) shop smart not lazy.

The downside the fact that you will have to do some heavy searching for everything. The store isn't properly sorted for you to find everything easy and at times they are understaffed. If you can even tell who's staff half the time. You may find something you want but it doesn't fit you. Then you end up having to scour the store looking for your size because they aren't in the same place.
